5 out of 5 stars Buddha Bar Specilist,.......2007-04-08

A beautiful collection of smooth rythms
a must for lounge
Check out opera to relax in this collection they have great stuff on cd

5 out of 5 stars Hypnotic and soaring.......2007-04-03

As with all the other Budda Lounge CDs, this is an awesome mix of hypnotic and relaxing music. Unlike some music that's relaxing because it is lifeless, this is relaxing because it allows the mind and spirit to soar and drift in and out of reality. Beautiful.

3 out of 5 stars not really "lounge" per se.......2007-03-15

This is a great new age, instrumental music disc but not really "lounge" per se according to the popular definition set by such things as Hotel Costes, Paris Lounge or Buddha Bar series.

FYI.

2 out of 5 stars what was I thinking?.......2005-12-27

With so much instrumentation in global music, why laaaaaaaaay on that synthesizer? Track 10 was the only cut worth anything.

3 out of 5 stars Not the Buddha Bar Series.......2005-03-03

Nice background music, but definitely NOT the Buddha Bar experience.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Smooth & Intense.......2005-05-07

I actually preferred this release to the last one. Chillout Lounge, Vol 2 [Buddha Lounge] starts out mellow and becomes more intense as the set progresses. On Disc One, I especially enjoyed the "Palmskin Remix" of "Be Mindful" by Dust--Beautifully done with an R&B flare. Now, if you enjoy Neo-Soul, then on Disc One: Roy Ayers' "Brand New Feeling" and Will.I.Am/f.Terry Dexter's "Lay Me Down" are for you. The only Bossa Nova/Rhumba track on Disc One is "Song for Theo" by Joanna Law. Of course, the drum patterns are electronically derived, but it is nonetheless enjoyable...Very enjoyable, free- spirited and light. On Disc Two: the set starts out with the whizzy, "chemical induced" "Higher Than A SkyScraper" by Hybrid. Then, the very Jamaican-Reggae stylings of the Dub Pistols chimes through with the track "World Gone Crazy", a song that's very politically motivated in a very Bob Marley and the I-Tree's way. After that track the set gets very down-paced and chilled. You'll really enjoy this release because, as usual, it caters to many audiences. Very eclectic, indeed. I recommend you listen to this set when you're throwing a small, intimate dinner party, where everyone is mostly seated or an outdoor soiree. It also works well for bopping around an urban setting (with your MP3) or around your office.
