Seems as though electro has become the Lawry's Season Salt of dance music. Sprinkle a little bit on whatever you're having for extra flava. Italian DJ Benny Benassi comes from a country that knows from cooking. It's also a place where they still use the words techno and trance interchangeably, so you can expect plenty of progressive beats and bin-throttling bass. But the real gusto on Hypnotica comes from the air-sucking analog sweeps and stuttering vocodered vocals compliments of robo-dolls Paul French and Violeta (The Biz)."Satisfaction" is the first hit, coming full tilt like Timo Maas. But even when Benassi slows down on "Let it Be," the squarewave filter is never set below nine, turning what would have been some dull-ass downtempo girlie fodder into a spicy snack. Sure it's a cheap trick, but sometimes it's the empty calories that taste the best.

This is a good CD to play at dance parties in spiral mode with other CDs. Adds some techno-funk to the atmosphere creating periodic waves of energy in the guests.

The First song in the CD makes a great difference
without it the CD would not be a 4 star.
The other songs are good just not as original.

You have to buy this cd if you love Benny Benassi ((and the song Satisfaction haha)) .. there are alottttt more great songs on here that you have to listen to such as Love Is Gonna Save Us and Change Style. Buy it .. you won't regret it!!

I received it in good time and it was just what I expected. I had heard some of the music on a Wendy's ad on TV and loved it. It was catchy and now I use it to treadmill with!

This CD is a trip... quite literally. This is the first hypnosis CD I've ever listened to and I didn't really believe it would work, but it does. It's pretty crazy, but fun, and extremely relaxing. Buy this CD immediately. It's amazing.

The first track sets the tone for the cd. "You're all That I'm Looking For," is a great song. Lance King is such a gifted vocalist with the midas touch. I highly recommend the follwing Lance King projects: Kings Machine, Defyance, Avian, Balance of Power, Shining Star, Gemini (if you can find this one), and Pyramaze.

Empire "Hypnotica" is just a one of those cds that you want to let play all the way through. Great music, great riffs, and definitley great voxs.

I Discovered the album Hypnotica by accident, I was looking into the Tony Martin Empire album he did eventually I didn't care for it, but I listened to the sample songs on Hypnotica. The first song that stood out to me was "SHELTER" Hell I love that song it flows awesomely but I would agree that "INTO THE LIGHT" is my second favorite from the album. Lance King does and excellent job on vocals! He sounds almost like "Ronnie James Dio"! I find that strange. I recommend this album to everyone across the world! Songs are great the band is awesome it features: Neil Murray (M3, Black Sabbath, Whitesnake) and Don Airey (Ozzy) BUY IT I can't explain anymore or go to there site: http://www.empire-rock.com listen to it! Get a feel of it cuz I guarentee you'll love it!!! Oh and I'm 17 years old and I like stuff that's 80's "LONG LIVE ROCK n ROLL" \m/ \m/

A lot of people may criticize the "robot" voices they use throught this CD, but i think it is purely unique, and entirely Benassi's style. ALL of these songs just make you want to get up and dance.

Y'know i had only ever heard two tracks from benny benassi which were Satisfaction and Love will Save Us or whatever it's called and just hearing those two tracks i was expecting this cd to bemindblowing, but sadly it was far from it...i was actually REALLY disappointed with the fact that every track sounds like same...i don't understand why a DJ that OBVIOUSLY has the talent to make killer tracks falls short on a cd that had such potential. yeah i guess i just wasn't impressed...if you want a rockin good time, get Right of Way by Ferry Corsten...now THAT cd freakin rocks!

I got this album in a CD Store in Toronto while I was on a trip there. I asked one of the employees for a couple of recommendations and this was the best. I just lost the cd and have to buy another, that's why I'm here. The music changes just enough for Benny to experiment with other feelings, but not soo much that the album goes off on tangents. People are right, the tracks don't stray too much from each other, but whose best music does? By not straying too much Benny was able to keep strong beats mixed with different sounds and everything rises to intense pinnacles.. WOW..

Well i'm a huge fan of dance music in general and i liked "Satisfaction" so i thought the rest of the album would be fun too, but the rest is a repetitition of tye hit single. They all sound the same, i got the feeling that it didn't take them very long to record the album either. Sure, Daft Punk got their sound and so got Modjo and other artists but this is crazy, the songs areso simular it's annoying. First those computerized beats frtom "Satisfaction" then robotic voices. That's pretty much it. 2 songs were a little diffent from the rest though, but not enough for buying the album.

        I first heard this group Canada (on CBC!) and since have been mesmerized by its beauty. I was particularly impressed by the multicultural mix of African, Middle Eastern and Indian music interpreted with French, Spanish and English lyrics. The final result is spellbounding!
