It didn't take the postmotherhood Ray of Light to prove that Madonna is a big softie; this collection of ballads and slow jams had already done that. Somewhat confused in intention--the scalding ache of "Oh Father," a 1989 song for her own dad, is shoved between the sex of "Rain" and a version of Marvin Gaye's "I Want You"--this is nonetheless a highly listenable album for those who dig Madonna for her music as much as for her cultural significance. --Rickey Wright

Perhaps the most amazing thing about 18-year-old Ben Lee's music is that you don't need to cut him any slack for his age. Lee's songs tell simple stories of innocent love and broken hearts balanced with a wicked sense of humor that is well beyond his years. Centering around his acoustic guitar and folksy voice, his second full-length album not only conjures up memories of a young Louden Wainright III but firmly establishes him as a seasoned songwriter. Perhaps the most remarkable part of Lee's writing is his ability to write from an 18-year-old perspective without sounding like a trite youngster or a pretentious kid, proving that writing about who you really are goes a lot farther than giving the people what they want. --Bill Snyder

Album Description
"The New Stanton Band has brought the Bert Kaemphert beautiful type of arranging and performance back to music fans. The album introduces an amazing talent find, 18-year-old Michael Fortunato. In a bid to reach audiences appreciative of artists like Acker Bilk and Pete Fountain, the producers brought Michael into the mix of The New Stanton album. The young man created his own arrangements. Mike's overall touches are excellent! The New Stanton albums are a delight...the sweet arrangements...the song choices. We agree with the producers that Michael has a fantastic future." - CD Review - National Media Magazine. Latest edition includes: "I'll See You Again," "Twilight Time," and "It's a Sin to Tell a Lie".

Album Description
Newcomer vocalist Hanna Richardson teams up with veteran bassist Phil Flanigan and his sextet made up of the top swing players currently on the scene to pay tribute to the great singer Maxine Sullivan. Richardson's vocal style resembles Sullivan's in its straightforward, melodic, and always swinging approach. Flanigan makes particular use of Richardson's natural rhythmic feel as he leads a first-rate ensemble on an entertaining variety of tunes, most of which were associated with Sullivan.
Customer Reviews:
THIS IS THE ONE FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2002-04-16
I have about 3000 CDs of which about 525 are vocals, and I have to tell you that Hanna Richardson's voice is right up there with the likes of Ella and the rest. She has a very lyrical, clear, warm and musically attractive voice............and one of the best features here is that you can understand EVERY words she sings. Her Husband, Phil, and his Sextet really does an excellent job in backing and bring out Hanna's talents. They alone would be enough to buy this album!! This is a must have CD and I highly recommend it to you!!!!!!!

Customer Reviews:
"Something To Remember" Very special for this music lover!.......2006-03-27
This exquisite collection of specially selected, chosen, and most importantly Original Songs, exhibit the Power and Dedicated Perfection that culminates in one of the finest sounding CDs ever, originating from the Hawaiian Islands. I'm sure you'll agree that Danny's choice of selections has something for everyone to take pleasure from!
The music Teaser Clips are mixed and mastered to achieve the finest quality available, which as you can detect has "Brought Out the Glow!"
This entire project is indeed Something to Remember for this web-hostess. As I have had the privilege of witnessing the development of this CD, and it's creation stemming from the time Danny asked me to debut the Teasers here with his skeleton tracks, to hearing the final tracks after production. Most of all, I enjoyed the thrill of helping to bring the finished composition/"product" to it's debut, to you! Although this is a web-site still in its infancy; Danny entrusted his project in my hands and allowed me to help bring it to his fans.
What more can I say... Except Mahalo Danny for this exceptional Honor, and for your confidence in me! I'm very proud.
We were the first to debut the early skeletons, a very unique happening on the inter-Net. Having taken them through the metamorphosis from bare bones to full creation. Seeing them being brought to life with the additional tracks, and refinement both instrumentally and vocally. We have previewed the Cover here, and heard the Announcement of its Completion, as well as having witnessed it receiving the well earned awards it so rightly deserves. We've Seen it, heard it, and NOW you can Order it!
Something To Remember is the recipient of the Na Hoku Hanohano Award '03 for Best Contemporary Album of the Year.
