Customer Reviews:
Awesome, great New Age!.......2007-07-06
I have to say, I downloaded "The Child in Us" on IMesh, and I fell in love of the whole aura the song portrayed. I bought the CD just for this song, but I fell in love of it all. Enigma is one of those artists who really makes music, and every touch, detail, and passion can be felt. The songs with lyrics, as well as those without each have a special meaning which transports you to someplace inside and make reflections. Even though some songs do not have lots and lots of lyrics, are brief but just right and DO HAVE A MEANING. Another point is that the music never stops from a song to the other, it is just a pleasant trip and the changes between songs are just well worked so each escence does not get lost or has an abrupt ending. Powerful "The Roundabout" and "Why...! bring an interesting mixture of soft and agressive vocals, maintaining the concept of new age music blends; meanwhile, soft and beautiful "Child in Us", "Prism of Life", and "Shadows in Silence" totally brings auras of peace and thought. New Age is the music of the future as many already have that concept in mind, and will possibly be. This is way better than most of the musical crap among popular music, and when I listen to each song here I am just transported to a NEW ERA, and forget about what is being heard outside =)

To listen to Enigma is to
go out of your mind......
but in a good way.
Take the trip--
it's well worth it.
I highly recommend them to
one and to all.
Essential T.N.T. For The Brain.......2006-02-07
Aside from hearing someone else's copy of 'The Screen Behind The Mirror', 'Love Sensuality Devotion' was my first album by Enigma. However, my actual introduction was through the 'Sadness' single. At the time it was unlike anything I'd ever heard before and I was simply blown-away by the Gregorian chanting set amidst modern world grooves and infectiously seductive dance beats.
By no means is Enigma considered mainstream but I have heard them on the radio before. Just like Delerium, they'll never receive top 40 airplay but they're more well-known than B-Tribe or Sacred Spirit, for example, because of club-friendly remixes and the successful Pure Moods series which has caught the attention of some unlikely listeners.
Their greatest hits compilation came out just as I was trying to decide which record of theirs to start with, and it turned out to be the perfect preface before launching my intent to gather their entire catalogue of works. Since I had a good feeling about it, I finally made up my mind and bought their third release, 'Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!' first and do not regret having done so. The eight new tracks (to me) that weren't included on LSD are absolutely breathtaking and I'm astounded by how well the CD holds up as a whole. It must have been a difficult process to hand select their so-called "best" songs because they're all so amazing! I thought I had the best of the best already but now I'm more determined than ever to someday own everything Enigma's produced. This album flows at a beautiful pace, and while the songs are hardly subtle, they're not quite as upbeat as some of their previous material. "Why! ..." is probably my favorite cut as Michael Cretu screams, in a non-abrasive kind of way, "I'm asking why!" atop a lush, moody soundscape. I also love "The Roundabout" which is very Deep Forest-esque, as well as some old favorites like "Beyond The Invisible" and "T.N.T. For The Brain". They're truly all gems, though, and this is definitely worth your time and money so don't just settle with their singles.

The "best" New Age album ever.......2006-01-19
I was reading through some trashy reviews of some customers who don't know actually what is new age music. If you wish to get pure new age album I recommend this one because this would be the best you will have. This is the masterpiece of Enigma. I owned all 5 Enigma albums and my favourite one is this.
Cretu has used samples like Gregorian Chants, Celtic Chants in perfect way. The significant thing is all samples are based on the songs and not the songs are based on the samples. I saw in some reviews that the tracks like "Third of its kind","Oddessey of the mind" are just fillers. Thats not correct, those tracks are part of the whole story. Thats why we call this Enigma. Even the sleeve of this cd is greatly done. Definitely you will love this one. Dont afraid to buy this cd. Good Luck....!!!

They did it again. I love their music. It makes me feel so relaxed. I play it driving to work and coming home, a good 40 min. drive, and this just makes the time fly. Keep them coming.
