Customer Reviews:
Best CD / DJ Ever.......2007-03-26
CD #1 = Perfect
CD #2 = Really good
Ferry Corsten rocks, no set of cd's compare to this and ive heard alot of trance/techno.
not what i expected, but not dissapointed.......2007-01-04
I got into Ferry with LEF and a few other samples with thumping tracks like "fire" and "punk." this first cd is actually less of a dance/trance cd and feels more electro. it is very well done though. very satisfying and worth your time. i still feel some of the tracks were not to my taste, however this is my opinion. the second cd really takes off into territory i am familiar with. its all about the volume here buddy!! cd 1, 4 stars, cd 2, 5 stars.. so somewhere inbetween here..
CD1 horrible, CD2 Unbelievable.......2006-10-09
CD1 is flat out horrible... sorry Ferry, its soo 70-s retro robot wussy house music.
CD2 on the other hand is Undescribably amazing. I dont even see what Ferry was thinking, CD1 is not even his style. CD2 is what he became famous for, almost every song is the top of the topest of complex melodic non cheezy Progressive Trance. He should not have included CD 1. Big mistake.
Regardless, since CD2 is so great, 5 stars is a must.
Interesting.......2006-04-25
You know, i have been into trance for a while now. I have listened to a lot of different DJs and come to expect certain things from each one. While im not saying that this is a bad album or anything, its definately not what i have come to expect from Ferry Corsten. This first disc kinda sounds like to Mack trucks full of samples collided head on. When i was expecting decent trance music, all disc one delivered was a "by the book" techno experience. Its incredibly mellow (alittle too much for this reviewers taste), and doesnt really pick up until the last few tracks. Not too bad of a disc overall, just not what i saw coming. Disc 2 delivers alittle bit more on the trance end, quenching my thirst for Ferry Corsten's trance talent. Maybe its because the Ferry Corsten i have grown to love is the one i hear mainly in his "trance energy" live sets, but this album is not even close to what i was expecting.
Awesome, as usual from F!.......2006-03-18
Great compilation here.
Ferry is truly number 1 and this dual-disc shows why.
1st CD awesome funky electro house, which has recently become a new favorite of mine. 2nd CD brings out some lesser played trance tracks. Ferry masters the flow of these sets and takes you on a journey like only he can!
I'm only droppin 4 stars on this because there's some tracks I feel couldve been swapped for some better ones.
Keep a lookout for his L.E.F. artist CD coming out soon!
Gonna knock your socks off!
Take care, and F for life!

Customer Reviews:
Much dance, not much trance.......2004-12-10
First of all, I must note that I have never been to the Dance valley festival and thus it is hard to judge the music selection on the disk. Thus, I am approaching this CD as just a dance compilation.
This CD is mixed by Mr. Ferry Corsten whose music I greatly appreciate. The set came out at about the same time as Ferry's "Infinite Euphoria" and differs from it in many ways. Overall, I find music on "Dance Valley" CDs not as melodic as I expect from Ferry and more rythm-driven which is great when you're mixing for several thousand dancing party-goers. The feel to the music is pretty happy-- it does not give you really deep trance breakdowns and neither does it venture in faster harder beats too much. CDs sound almost pop-like but I cannot recognize most of the songs since I am not familiar with Dutch Top 40 music.
One song on the 2nd CD really annoyed me. "Good Grief" presents us with voicemail recordings of an angry female spitting out curses intermixed with a pretty basic melody. Haven't we got enough of compositions like this one in the past few years?
On the positive side, the mixing is nearly perfect as usual and the tracks do go well together (for the exception of the very beginning of the 1st CD where a few unrelated notes enter the song).
To sum it all up, this is not one of my favorite Ferry's compilations but it is a solid dance CD. I would buy this one over any of the "Ultimate Dance Experience" junk any day.
