On their second album, the multiplatinum trio TLC have given up most of their debut's tomfoolery and have matured into a very modern deep Southern soul, watered and nurtured in hip-hop culture. The album's centerpiece is the magnificent "Waterfalls," a revival meeting of new jack swing, gospel, and Prince (whose "If I Was Your Girlfriend" they turn inside out). Their spare, surprising arrangements rely on the kind of live instrumentation they single-handedly brought back in style. It has been well over a decade since this was released. I hadn't listened to it for a few of those years. Just did. Still terrific. This is silky smooth R&B with a dash of funk and a pinch of hip hop. The production is impeccable and the back up musicians top of the class. In its genre it shares the mountain top.

is there anything to say for this diamond status album.of corse the standout track would be waterfalls,tlc became a commercial hit because of this single.my favorite tracks are:

thats basically the whole album.this album may go back to 1994 when t-boz,left eye,and chilli took over the game,but we all know becauase of this album that the best selling female group will forever be crazysexycool!

TLC At Their Best.......2007-03-08

This album without a doubt was their best.All the members got their shine and in result created a masterpiece. Dallas Austin did his thing in producing their biggest hits. All of their singles did well and other good tracks would be "Kick Your Game", "Lets Do It Again", and "Sumthin Wicked This Way Comes". This album is a classic and if you don't have it pick it up.
