About the Artist
From a small town outside of Las Vegas Nevada, this new emerging artist brings a whole new meaning to the term "POP COUNTRY". Some people have referred to Rick Scanlan's writing style as "COASTAL COUNTRY". Influenced by the writing styles of Jimmy Buffet & Kieth Whitley, and performance styles of Garth Brooks and Gordon Lightfoot, Rick Scanlan brings us a "New Kind of Country".
Product Description
Fresh new country songs without the "twang". Rick Scanlan writes with a straight forward approach to country music with a slightly pop/rock flare singing in the styles of Gordon Lightfoot, Neil Diamond, Kenny Rogers & Garth Brooks all rolled into one.

I Dare you to Read this Review...OK I Love this CD!.......2003-01-30
After probably wearing the CD thin, I still have not been able to narrow down a favorite. But, if you are looking for romantic mood music, then you can't go wrong with "Let Me Say I Love You". "Backroads" let the miles pass with a little more ease. "Autobiography to Jack" sounds like that old classic that you just can't put your finger on. If Jimmy Buffet hasn't heard "Things Jimmy Never Sang About", he needs to. "The Eagle..." is definitely a testament to American Pride.
Can you tell I really like the CD? You will too, my friend!
