I first listened to this album back in '94 or '95. As a rodeo cowboy I have listened to many a Chris Ledoux album as he sings about rodeo and the American West. Then my friend let me listen to this album by Max. This is one of the most genuine cowboys there are with a sound that will bring a mental image of the cowboy lifestyle to anyone who listens to this music. My hat's off to you Max. You have recaptured the American spirit with your music. I will buy this music again.

What a breath of fresh air! Max and his wife Cindy have really put out a great effort. Her writing is as good as a 2 heel catch at the Nation Finals. Production on this cd is just right - not overproduced like most of the stuff out of Nashville. The cd sounds like a live evening with Max at a Ranch Rodeo.
