Editorial Reviews
From the Label
The Judds were living in San Rafael, California in the late '70's. Naomi was in nursing school and Wynonna was a 15 year old high school student (still using her "birth" name, Christina).

Peter Charles was playing bass in a country & western band called the "Cowpokes". One of the band members, Suzy McKee, introduced the band to Naomi and her daughter. They went to a few "Cowpokes" gigs and sang with the band on occasion. Soon after meeting Peter, Naomi expressed an interest in making a professional studio recording. She asked Peter to act as the producer for the session and he agreed.

Now, here it is...their first professional recording session. A real collector's item.

Ridin' High Records is an independent label.

4 out of 5 stars Great eclectic set full of early harmony.......2000-12-03

This contains 4 songs from the Judds before they became "the Judds" officially. It is a very raw, but powerfull set of music. The songs are simple and are simply crafted. There is not much pumped up music, just a lot of GOOD accoustic sounds. It shows the true talent that lies at the heart of these two amazing ladies. The sound say's, "family, simple, easy listening, good-hearted, tasteful, and raw."
