The 70's had a broad array of music... from Soft Hits that we all laugh about now, to Disco hits we all love to dance to. In Between we had some stiffs from Elton John, and songs some artists would probably rather forget about (England Dan and John Ford Coley). This box set is a must have for anyone who likes the whole 70's era!

"Only Love: 1975-1979" is a fantastic CD. Each song invokes reminiscent feelings of youthful bliss for those of us who loved, lost and loved again. The title is fitting. The CD covers artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Olivia Newton John, Bread, The O'Jays and many more. As far as a "series" CD goes I would highly recommend this one. I was never disappointed in the music choices and enjoyed kicking back and reflecting on what a large role these artists and their ballads played in my life and actually still do today. I would like to purchase more CD's of this era/decade and hope that you will give this CD a try. It's a winner.

Some rarities are worth looking into, but most of these songs are available on better compilations. And why waste your time with edited versions of "Don't Fear the Reaper" and "Feels Like the First Time"?

I felt that they should leave out some of the disco and the soul songs and put more rock songs like Boston's More Than a Feeling, Climax Blues Band's Couldn't Get it Right, Journey's Lovin Touchin Squeezin or Rickie Lee Jones's Chuck E's in Love but they have some good songs like Foreigner's Double Vision (my favorite Foreigner song), The Knack's My Sharona, Hall 'n' Oates's Rich Girl, just to name a few, if you like a wide variety of songs from the 70's, then you'll like this CD but for those who are more into classic rock should go find another CD, I also bought this CD for Bay City Roller's Saturday Night which is a classic song and it became a #1 hit in late 1975.

A little Fleetwood Mac, Doobie Brothers, Bonnie Tyler, KC and the Sunshine Band, Bay City Rollers. You have to take the good with the bad sometimes, just like we had to in the late 70s. In one were to imagine ads after every three or four songs, this CD would be like real airplay for about an hour or so.

Any CD that sports the COMPLETE version of "My Sharona" is worth looking into. Also, you get the full five-minute version of "Car Wash" by Rose Royce. The only error on this CD is the inclusion of 1972's #1 hit by the Chi-Lites, "Oh Girl," which doesn't belong on an album bearing this title. Otherwise, great stuff.
