      I bought this cd thinking it would be a unique oddity for my collection of the Who, but what I got instead was an excellent work of country-pop-rock that I listen to frequently, and not because John Entwistle happens to make an appearance. This is great music - intelligent, fun, skillful, and sometimes a Kinks-like wittiness. Who/Entwistle fans who are fans of only hard rock or classic rock might find this album a bit of a stretch, but those who enjoy all styles of music, especially roots and country, will be well pleased by the effort to hunt this record down. I'd like to give it more than four stars, but it doesn't quite merit five, so consider my rating a 4.5.

      The version of the cd I bought has a slightly different track listing than that listed on Amazon.

      The Pioneers with The Who's John Entwistle should become a collectors item simply because it features a British rock legend experimenting with country music. But this album offers alot more. These are all great tunes on diverse subjects. Much more than the simple boy girl love songs. Nashville should embrace this album as I'm sure it will bring rock fans to country music and visa versa. It shows that great talent knows no musical boundaries. Definately check this one out.
