good ole country.......2003-08-01

Some friends and I saw Jed perform and were blown away!!! We enjoyed our thursday night beers while listening to a talented man play and sing some of country's greatest tunes. I picked up his cd because i wanted to hear some of his original stuff. This guy has an old school talent that any outlaw country music fan will enjoy!!!!!!

I like this CD it is pretty funny. I bought the CD simply because of the name of the singer. But Boogie Woogie is funny. I would recommend that you buy this CD if you want to laugh until it hurts. I would give this CD a nine on a scale of ten.

Arkansas' State Musician.......2000-09-25

Anyone from Arkansas or Steamboat Springs, CO has heard of Jed Clampit, Front Porch Contemporary Musician. This album is going to be unlike any gospel recordings you've heard before. Jed is unique in that he can segue from Jerry Jeff Walker or Jimmy Buffet into Amazing Grace while playing at a bar or party, and have the entire audience come right along with him. The Medley and Just a Closer Walk are the best tracks. Amazing Grace is a little uneven due to the recording quality, but it catches Jed's style nonetheless. If you are a fan of Willie Nelson, you will enjoy Jed Clampit.

I have seen Jed live several times and he is just amazing. He can do everything from gospel to today's most popular pearl jam song. As for his Willie Nelson picks, close your eyes and you'll never know the difference. Great music to just sit back and relax too.

Jed's music is second to none. CD's are great but live performances are better. Only negative to Jed is I only get to watch him perform live twice a month. Great for the whole family. Best entertainer for parties or any occasion. All CD's are a must.

Jed Clampit is still great, 27 years later. I first saw and heard Jed in 1976 when he played the scene in Fayetteville, Arkansas. (He still does, too) If you possess a heart and or soul, buy JED CLAMPIT LIVE. His website is cool too, at www.jedclampit.com

Anyone that is interested in getting more than their money's worth Jed is the perfect choice. A real class act as a person as well as a performer! Jed's "Front Porch Contempary" style and talent makes him as good or better than most top names in the business. We had the privledge of his company recently and we were very impressed with his unforgetable performance. We are blessed to have such local talent. Don't pass up the chance to check him out when he's in town!

That's best way to describe Jed Clampit. No fancy production. No cookie-cutter sounds. You can smell the smoke and taste the whiskey when you hear Jed sing about his life on the road. Shades of Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt and the great Willie Nelson ride the tones of his voice and the notes of his guitar. He's an American original who will likely never attain the recognition he deserves due to the current state of country radio. There's a roadhouse in Heaven where Hank Sr., Jimmie Rodgers, Robert Johnson, Woody Guthrie, Townes and other legends play every night. When they drop a coin in the jukebox, you can bet they punch in a Jed Clampit song and play along with him, looking forward to the day, far in the future, when the Ozark songsmith will step onto their stage and play a set for the souls of the true, pure, hardcore troubadour in everyone who loves real music from the heart of six-string poets.

Firstly....I have been a Jed Head for years. This album is the true essence of Jed. It's clean, lean and mean Jed at his best. Nothing is fixed in the mix on this album...simply because nothing needs to be. If you've never owned a Jed album, heard him live OR even heard of him at all - This is the place to start. Simply put, this is GREAT MUSIC!
