Editorial Reviews
About the Artist
Julie Burton - one of Nashville's most sought after demo singers
Leland Martin - rising Country artist from Missouri with a very "familiar" vintage country voice
Tim Buppart - male country singer on the rise
Jeff Allen - young male singer on the rise. Equally at home in Nashville recording studio or Vegas
Sally Barris - another rising star
Patti Fischer- practically lives in Nashville's best-known recording studios
Butch Baker - you may have his earlier albums released on major label, don't miss this performance
Lorrie Hardin - one of Nashville's best-kept secrets
Billy Thomas - you might remember Billy from McBride and The Ride - but you won't forget this extra-country version of familiar Boy George tune
Christy Cornelius - that great voice is definitely part of a family tradition - daughter of country legend Helen Cornelius
Doug Wayne - Doug's voice is appreciated in America, but idolized in Brazil. See what all the fuss is about.
Cindy Greene - a talented Nashville Songwriter with the voice of an angel
Marc-Alan Barnett - a perenial Nashville favorite. His unique mixture of R&B and "in your face" country shines here

Product Description
16 all-time favorite pop tunes interpreted by some of Nashville's best studio musicians. While there is not even a hint of anything groundbreaking here, this well-produced album's is one of the most enjoyable and listenable you will find this year. Highlights are Julie Burton's version of Walking In Memphis, Leland Martin's convincing adaptation of the former BeeGee's tune "Don't Forget To Remember", Country Duet Version of "Unbreak My Heart", Billy Thomas on "Karma Chameleon" (no, really!) and twin fiddles and banjo on "Born To Be Wild"

5 out of 5 stars Karma Chameleon.......2002-06-13

These 16 famous tunes re-made sound better than any "new" country music that I have heard in about 5 years. What a great Idea.

5 out of 5 stars Shoulda been country rocks!!!!!.......2002-01-13

This CD is one of the best mixed artist albums I have ever heard. I liked hearing older songs done in a new and different way. My favorite song is Unbreak My Heart, I did not ever expect this to be done as a duet. All of the artist are wonderful singers.

5 out of 5 stars I Can't Stop Listening to IT !!.......2001-11-19

Okay, I bought it because I thought a country version of a Boy George song would make a great gag gift for a friend, but he will have to buy his own! Who would have imagined? I LOVE this album. Duets of "Seperate Lives" and "Unbreak My Heart" are beautiful! "Walking In Memphis" is one of the best versions ever. And "Born To Be Wild" ROCKS (country style, of course). Other than Butch Baker, I never heard of these singers before, but you can bet I'm going to watch for their names from now on!
