These songs are Great!!.......2007-07-05
My baby sure does love this CD, too. This Backyardigans CD has alot of my child's favorites. I have to sing about the pirate saying "ARRR" more times than I care to remember. The tunes are catchy, have modern music in them and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, DON'T SOUND LIKE A PURPLE DINOSAUR!!!! BUY BOTH OF THEM!!!!
Great CD for all Little Backyardigan Fans.......2007-06-08
I bought this for my three year old daughter who loves watching The Backyardigans on TV. It is a BIG hit!! She loves listening to it, and it's fun to watch her sing along.
The Backyardigans CD .......2007-06-03
This is one of the best children's CDs out there. Quite frankly I am sick of it right now because I have heard it so much. But, when it's back on again, I'll be singing right along with it. Oh, my daughter loves it too.
Backyardigans Rule.......2007-06-02
We love the Backyardigans show and we're so glad to have the CD too. My son loves to sing and dance along (and so do I, but don't tell), and when he hears each song, he recalls which episode and what happened too. Great CD with a variety of songs from the first season of the show! We'll be getting the second CD soon!
Great for car trips.......2007-05-29
This CD is almost constantly on in the car, I have 2 toddlers, and sometimes it's the only way we avoid whining and tears on a car trip.

There are thousands upon thousands of children's albums out there, but the one that quietly left its mark with more '70s children than perhaps any other album was this disc. Free to Be...You and Me was a pet project of proud feminist Marlo Thomas (a.k.a. "That Girl"), and it was born--according to the liner notes--by the desire to provide her niece with music "to celebrate who she was and who she could be." Harry Belafonte sings "Parents Are People," ex-football great Rosie Grier offers an incredible, touching melody titled "It's All Right to Cry," and Diana Ross waxes future-positive on "When We Grow Up." A great hour of brain food for young--and not-so-young--children. --Denise Sheppard
Customer Reviews:
Okay but definately 70's sounding.......2007-07-10
I remembered this from childhood so I bought it. It's okay but you don't want to listen to it over & over, the songs and skits get irksome after the first run through. Not actually all songs, some short skits - a lot to do with gender equality wich is good but not alltogether entertaining... I prefer Billy Jonas - What Kind of Cat Are You!!!
Oldie but a Goodie.......2007-06-27
This title was great when my children were children; now they're adults with children of their own, and it's still great. We keep it in the player in the car for when the grandkids ride with us along with Peter, Paul and Mommy and Peter, Paul, and Mommy Too. The grandkids enjoy it just as much as our kids did.
I still remember all the words.......2007-05-24
Every time I hear these songs, it takes me back to my very first Fisher Price record player! I can still sing along with every song. My husband thinks the collection is a bit cheesey, and he is probably right. But that never stopped me from loving the best memories of my childhood. We are buying the collection for our children for sure!
Still fresh and new.......2007-05-12
Not literally fresh and new, perhaps, but thirty years ago when I was first listening to this on vinyl, I never would have imagined that the message would still be essential in the 21st century. I've been buying copies for the kids of all my friends and relatives, because I hope that the more people listen to this growing up, the more likely that eventually we'll live in a world where this CD isn't needed.
Still great after all these years! .......2007-03-14
An early birthday gift for my daughter (to be nine in April '07) - she can't get enough of this CD! After one listen, she was quoting bits and bites and getting up to hit "repeat" on the CD player. Cool.
My sister and I loved it as kids and though it's a teeny bit dated, the messages are sound, clear, and still 'work' today. The comedy is great for all ages(who can beat Mel Brooks and Alan Alda?)
So, my review says: get it! Listen ofen! And give it to someone you love!

Album Description
Tosh is currently one of the most requested comic headliners in the country and has evolved into one of the most popular and successful college acts, performing at over 700 campuses. He's appeared multiple times on Letterman and Leno, and was recently seen on MTV's "Punk'd". Previous TV credits include "The Late, Late Show With Craig Kilborn", "Jimmy Kimmel Live", "Last Call With Carson Daly", "Premium Blend", "The Best Week Ever", "The Test", and "Friday Night Stand-Up". All his best material (over 50 minutes) on one CD. The DVD compiles his best Comedy Central performances, including the highly rated "Comedy Central Presents".
Customer Reviews:
More Dave Attell than Dane Cook.......2007-06-18
This is one very funny concert, probably because he does push the limits. I have heard some people in here compare him to Dane Cook. Uhhh, I have a copy of Dane Cook's CDs and this one by Tosh is way funnier. Whereas Cook relies on being a cool buddy to the audience and relaying longwinded and contrived stories, Tosh tells jokes and he pushes the audience by saying things he knows they think are funny, but are perhaps a little afraid to laugh at in public. The smart humor had me just thinking more about Dave Attell, than Dane Cook.
Good Stuff.......2007-05-12
Daniel Tosh is a very funny comedian. I am a difficult person to please when it comes to comedy, but this is one that you just have to buy....and it comes with his CD enclosed which is also really entertaining. Only complaint is I wish the DVD was more than 22 minutes, but since the CD is included, it is worth the purchase price.
You did it because you're whore!.......2007-05-08
One might not rush out and buy this album based on Tosh's Comedy Central Presents special. The problem with those specials is that you don't get a real feel for the comedian because they are often rushed to make the time limit and they always have to censor themselves.
This album is from a Southern California show and it's absolutely hilarious. Tosh has very unique takes on various topics and he does it with an attitude. On several bits, he will challenge the audience to the point of insulting them directly. His take on plastic surgery is brilliant and he basically tells every female audience member with fake breasts that they are whores! He's not an insult comic, so it's done with a sense of playfulness. All of his material is taken with that approach and he pulls it off.
Admittedly, his delivery and inflection is similar to Dane Cook. That's about where the similarity between the two comics begins and ends. I remember seeing Tosh in the late 90's. Dane Cook's popularity has been a more recent phenomenon. Daniel Tosh's material is very well-written, thought out and "edgey." I'm happy for Dane Cook's success, but he relies too much on physical humor and bits that are just observations with no real commentary.
I've had this CD for about 2 weeks and I've listen to it at least 6 times. I highly recommend it for people who love stand-up comedy.
Does Dane Cook collect royalties from this?.......2007-05-01
It's a funny album, there's no question about that. But at least seventeen times throughout the album you will momentarily forget that you're not listening to Dane Cook. Tosh has lifted Cook's tone down to the last detail. Every once in a while he channels Jim Gaffigan for a moment, but 98% of the time it's pure Dane Cook. It doesn't mean he's not funny, he definitely is. I just wish he'd come up with his own thing.
Oh, and if it turns out that Daniel Tosh has been doing this way longer than Dane Cook and it's Cook who lifted his act from Tosh, then I apologize. But I'm thinking probably not.
Excellent Performer.......2007-04-23
I can't believe that, at the time of this writing, there are only 14 reviews of this CD. Daniel Tosh is, hands down, one of the brightest stars the stand-up industry has to offer right now and he will only get more popular when his next release hits stores this summer.
To sum up the cd, Mr. Tosh is an original. His material AND delivery are fresh, playful, edgy, and absurd all mixed into one fluidly entertaining package. This is a performer who has a unique idea of what his version of "funny" is and knows how to deliver it in a way that gets his audiences howling early and often.
Comedy Central Records, who has an extremely noble, albeit short, history of providing bright and original new comedians to the masses (the only noteably regrettable sidestep being Kyle Cease, and I'm sure the inevitable Carlos Mencia) really did the industry a tremendous service by signing Daniel Tosh to their team. He deserves every due he gets. Outside of the Dave Attell CD, this is probably the best album they have in their line-up.
Other than that, all you need to know is that the only possible way you can have a better time than listening to this CD is to see Daniel live at a club. I've seen him four summers in a row and hope to continue the tradition. I wish him the best and look forward to getting the next CD signed upon his next appearence in Denver. Now go do yourself a favor and pick up this Album!

So fun!.......2007-07-07
This is a great CD! Our son loves it and we do too. The songs are creative and catchy. It is a pretty high energy CD and right up our son's alley. We highly recommend it...it's not your typical kid CD.
Wonderful CD.......2007-07-04
This CD is great. My kid loves it and listens to it on every car ride. She is 1 and cant get enough.
My Favorite Kid Album - Perfect Gift for Your Friends That Just Got a New Kid.......2007-07-03
My whole family loves this album. We pretty much buy it for everyone we know who gets a new kid. We have a lot of good kid music, most of which the kids like, some of which my wife and I also like. There are only a couple, however, that the kids and the adults love. This is one of them.
The lyrics are hilarious, so true and even poignant on occasion. It amazes me how well JR nails the kid and parent mentality without having kids of his own. Most (maybe all) of the songs are sung from a first person, little kid perspective. The song "Melt Down" will crack you up: "My mothers having a meltdown...". Cracks me up just thinking about the Mom and two kids just losing it "...it might sound outrageous but a meltdown's contagious". So true! "Cartwheels and Summersaults" is touching without going all Beaches on you. The song's about the kid's perspective on his new little sister, "we never really knew, how much we needed you, until you came into our lives, now things are pretty nice."
We're not a sing-along kind of family. We like music but we're not prone to belting it out in the minivan but even I'll sing along with this one.
Good, fun music.......2007-05-09
This is a great kids' album. It has fun, simple music that will appeal to most younger kids and their parents. It's not another karaoke-ish version of Old MacDonald, eesh. We have kids from 3-10 and our whole family likes it.
Catchy songs!.......2007-03-05
I ordered this based on a review I read on Justin Roberts. I had never heard him actually sing before. My daughter loves this album, and I find myself singing right along as well. His songs are catchy, humorous, and tell about life from a kid's point-of-view very well. I highly recommend it!

End to Rest Time Woes.......2007-06-02
My three year old loves this CD and the cling book. It has made her rest time every afternoon a pleasant one for us both. She sings and clings and really uses her imagination. She is occupied and independantly creative. What more could a mom ask for?
GOOD.......2007-05-07
ID PREFER THE DVDS BETTER BUT THIS AUDIO CD VERSION OF IT IS GOOD ALSO.
Keeps them listening.......2007-03-21
My 5 YO son listens to this CD whenever he can find it. He is very engaged and participates as well in the pat, pat, pat and questions the Little Einsteins may ask. I have to hide it so he will do something else. We used it for musical chairs at his Little Einstein birthday party and it was very well received.
Mission Completion!.......2007-03-19
My son LOVES his Little Einstein CD and listens to it all the time.
Little Einstein fans rejoice.......2007-03-08
Ok..my [...]is a HUGE Little Einstein fan. She really loves this cd, however this is more of a story cd. It comes with a little book with removable gel like stickers so that the listener can make the picture of the story being recited. There are 3 or 4 very familiar stories including the music and all the Einstein character voices but I thought it was going to be just songs and music from the program. I was worried at first but it turns out to be a great "quiet time" cd because it's stories and music....your child does not need to use the stickers to enjoy the cd and they actually end up on my windows sometimes!

"Stories" is the operative word here. The late Harry Chapin penned tales that touched a chord in listeners regardless of their age, background, or truth be told, regardless even of the type of music they normally listened to. Chapin always came across as a tough guy with a heart of gold, a brainy type who wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty--much like the protagonist of "Taxi" (a terrific rendition of which is contained herein). In addition to radio staples like "Cat's in the Cradle," the 1976 recording also sheds light on slightly lesser-known pieces like "Circle" and "Mr. Tanner." Chapin's affable manner shines through the entire album, giving it a disarming quality that's not always present on the studio versions. --David Sprague
Customer Reviews:
Chapin was a great performer and songwriter.......2007-05-17
I first became aware of and saw Harry while I was attending the Air Force Academy in 1976. He put on an awesome show. This album is one of the finest live recordings of all time and perfectly reflects Harry's talents.
I subsequently saw Harry at The Circle Star Theater in San Carlos, CA where Harry remarked, "Back on the rotisserie." I saw him for the last time at a free concert at Stanford University. It was a solo event, except for the songs where he had his baby boy on stage. Watching Harry perform "Dancing Boy" while his son danced on stage and my similar-aged daughter dance on the grass was the most magical moment my wife and I have ever experienced at a concert. Alternately, one of our saddest moments was when we learned of Harry's untimely death which was the only time we've cried at the news of the death of an artist/performer.
Awesome cd.......2007-02-21
If you are a fan of Harry Chapin then this is a must have - his talent shows through with each song and he is truly amazing - it is such a terrible thing that he died so early and didn't get the recognition he deserved.
This is an incredible live album - my personal favs are Dreams Go By, 30,000 bananas, Cat and the Cradle, Mr Tanner
Nostalgia.......2007-01-09
It had been many years since I listened to Harry Chapin. Listening to the CD reminded me of how much I have missed him. I will be back soon for more.
My Favorite Chapin Album.......2006-08-06
I wouldn't necessarily consider myself a fan of Harry Chapin, even though I own four of his albums - just one who appreciates his work. Introduced to Chapin in high school, via my dad, his Live album still remains my favorite; in fact, it's my favorite live album of any artist that I've heard.
There are twelve tracks on the album, spanning the years from the early 1970's through 1976. All of his big hits are on it, including "Cats in the Cradle." What makes this album unique is that the listener not only gets to hear Chapin's raw talent (without all of the tweaking from the studios), but also a glimpse at his personality.
Sometimes live performances just aren't that good - the artist just can't pull it off in front of the crowd. Not the case with Chapin and his band; in fact, I almost prefer his live versions over the studio ones for a couple of reasons: 1) the band takes greater risks; 2) more creativity is demonstrated; and 3) the interplay between the band and crowd is awesome!
Harry Chapin must have had quite a sense of humor, as demonstrated in "30,000 Pounds of Bananas." After he sings the song, he demonstrates to the audience the three alternate endings that he worked on. It is abolutely hilarious and entertaining. Another highlight is getting to hear his brother, Stephen, sing. Wow, what a beautiful voice! The same goes for John Wallace in "Mr. Tanner."
The only disappointment with the CD version is that there wasn't room enough to include the song "She Is Always Seventeen," which was on the original LP. It is an awesome song about a hippie who never grew up.
To sum it all up, if you've never listened to any Harry Chapin with the exception of the radio hits, this album is the best place to start. You will truly get a sense of the man and his music.
So What's With No 'Love Is Just Another Word', Already...?.......2006-04-07
Harry Chapin confirmed with me following a later concert that the majority of these tracks come from his appearance at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, site of my earlier attendance and one of three west coast venues that the eleven live tracks on this album are drawn from. What no one has been able to confirm is why after all these years Love Is Just Another Word remains Harry Chapin's only studio track yet to make it to CD-format.
A favorite hackneyed homage that reviewers and fans alike enjoy paying to artists is how much better they are or were live than on record. With many an artist, Harry Chapin included, this artist-appreciator just ain't buyin' it. While concerts are enjoyable outings and live albums are on-occasion fun to listen to, they're both often marred by too many rock&roll-ly songs included to play on the heightened emotional state of the concertgoer. In this case the Way-Too-Many -Thousand Pounds of Bananas is the prime example.
Harry Chapin was at his best when he could weave heartfelt love and social-conscious story songs with arrangements that drove the story home. His initial canvas was most-often the studio, and he had a knack for bringing the best out of his loyal cadre of musicians. She Is Always Seventeen along with Love Is Just Another Word remain painfully absent from this CD. It's understandable how with apparent single-disc timing constraints the thinking upon first CD release would be to include the brothers' two accompanying live performances over the just-mentioned two of three LP studio add-on tracks...but that was then and this is now.
With a minimum of three concerts recorded, there has to be additional material at-hand that would well-serve a COMPLETE Greatest Stories Live. High Time Rhino, Elektra, Warner or the Estate gave us a complete Greatest Stories Live reflective of at a minimum the LP as it was conceived, intended and delivered, with the live tracks complimented by She Is Always Seventeen & Love Is Just Another Word to again accompany The (surviving) Shortest Story. [If they can do it for Joni...which they now have....] All in favor...say AYE.

Album Description
Stories of a Stranger is arguably the first real O.A.R. album. While their sound is unmistakable, it now pulls of a contradictory feat by opening itself to a broader range of influences through songs more tightly focused than any they've done previously. By far it takes the listener closer than any other album to the matchless experience of hearing O.A.R. live-with the audio tweaked to position the listener in a center seat, a few rows back from the stage. All the ingredients are in place: the in-the-pocket lock-up of bassist Benj Gershman and drummer Chris Culos, the soulful slash and simmer of Jerry DiPizzo's sax, guitar parts from Richard On that stretch from steamy rhythm licks to souring, tuneful leads.
Customer Reviews:
Good but different........2007-05-13
When I first played this Cd in my car it shocked me b/c it was such a different sound coming from them. In my opinion between their older stuff and their newer stuff there is quite a big difference. It took a few days but after constant rotation in my Cd player I was finally hooked!
"Heard the World" is an amazing song and its so catchy.
I'm actually going to their "Stories of a Stranger" summer concert and I'm so stoked about it!
so when you buy this don't throw it out automatically, give it a chance, you might find you like it better than you think!
The Evolution Of a Revolution.......2007-03-15
Of A Revolution (O.A.R.) has been around for quite some time and in that time has developed a sort of cult-following. Their music has gone through many different stages; their earliest resembling something caught between Marley-esque reggae type-subpop with lyrics that sounded like they could have been freestyled into a mic. What was produced some say is O.A.R.'s best work, it definitely gave them a perfect setting for future success.
Over the years the evolution of O.A.R. has not only come in the ways of highly-improved audio recordings but in the ways of more creative ways of using instruments and deeper, more meaningful lyrics. Their previous album, 'In Between Now and Then' was a beautiful step in the right direction but tried too hard to hang onto their rough roots as a hybrid band.
'Stories of a Stranger' is what comes after many years of evolving from a garage band playing college shows - to a band that can sell out any venue and that comes with a following that will eventually rival even the best bands in the world. The album encompasses every side of the band that has ever been shown and does it all better than any other album they've released has. From the start of the album you are taken on a type of musical journey where you hear everything from Pop, to Reggae-rock, to slower jazzy songs. Every side of O.A.R. shines on this album and even when they are at their slowest you still move to the beat.
This is a huge step in O.A.R.'s launch to stardom. It shows not only a versitile and capable musical style but creative use of instruments through slick bass-lines and dizzying saxophones. 'Stories of a Stranger' is a great album for new and old fans alike, every song offers something new and original that will keep you singing for months to come. The only thing better would be seeing them live, which offers an energy in its own class.
AWESOME!.......2007-02-28
Everysong is a toe tapping, radio blasting, sing a long! OAR is awesome! This CD really shows how diverse OAR is when it comes to a variety of genres.
Great JOB GUYS!
O.A.R. is no Stranger to Success.......2007-02-07
I cannot get enough of this band. My favorite band and I'm not dissapointed. It's impossible for them to dissapoint me. Another great CD, a little more poppy, but still a great, great CD. If you don't know anything about O.A.R, check out any of their live CD's to get a good idea of the band.."34th and 8th" or "Any Time Now" is a good place to start, CD wise. Download or check out these tracks on SOAS...
STANDOUT TRACKS: 52-50, Lay Down, The Stranger, Wonderful Day, Heard the World.
Good.......2007-01-26
This was good, but I wasn't so crazy about it. I really dig their live recordings better because there seems to be an energy there that's not in this particular c.d.

Unexpectedly heartwarming.......2007-07-03
I have a set appointment each Saturday to tune in to NPR for another introduction to "This American Life". I am thrilled that I have access to old shows on cd. This is ideal for a long road trip and conversation.
mesmerized.......2007-02-12
I was fortunate to receive this CD the day before I had a 2 hour car ride ahead of me. I put in the CD and I have no memory of the trip, the traffic, or the route I took. I play the CD frequently, and I learn something new each time. Ira Glass - you are the best.
Radio Documentaries For Long Drives.......2007-02-01
I've listened to This American Life going on 8 years now either on NPR or on-line on the website. Great program, this is the 3rd compliation CD I have purchased and I must say that this was interesting especially the Stories of Fear. I am interested in how the human psyche handles fear given certain levels of stress introduced through everyday normal situations. Quite frankly it can be more than a little funny. The story that really clicked with me was On Hold No One Can Hear You Scream, one persons ordeal dealing with an unresponsive phone company. This is a great cd. Better than the last compliation cd for This American Life.
Not the best but worth a one time listen.......2007-01-20
This American Life is my favorite show of all time. I listen to it religiously. I didn't like this one. It's kind of depressing, whereas I have listened to the other CD's over and over again.
Regular Folks With Amazing and Hilarious Stories.......2007-01-05
Ira Glass has a job that everyone would love to do. He gets to interview people and learn about life lessons. I have listened to the NPR show on occassion but could never follow the program faithfully. If you are like me, then this will be your solution. In this 2-CD collection, there are stories about hopes and fears in a new light. I think that the 2nd CD is the most interesting of the 2 CDs.
The story that really made an impression was Julie Synder's dilemna with cell phone customer support (CD 2 Track 2). She really articulates her frustrations that we can all relate to. I worked as an software engineer and dealt with customer service issues on occasion. It's good to see how sometimes mis-communication and tempers often flair into after-the-fact humor. You definitely see the views from both sides which sheds some light on problems with customer support. But, the problems with a phone company just compounds to the humor with technology issues that you cannot imagine. Believe me, it's laughter after laughter but you soon realize that we can all relate to it.
Another touching but eerie story (CD 2 Track 3) is about a closeted son who takes care of his mother. It borders on the unreal as the interviewer learns about the ordeal with his father than suddenly changes things completely. As you listen, there are intimate details that you feel as if you are in the same room. This is one of the true experience that you lack with TV today. It just seems to be all about the shock factor and nothing about the fact that we are all human. It's wonderful that NPR still has shows out there for everyone to listen instead of being glued to the tube.

Amazon.com essential recording
This subtle, sublime collaboration finds bassist Charlie Haden and guitarist Pat Metheny crafting bejeweled chamber duets that transcend genre. With their shared Missouri lineage as a thematic touchstone, Haden and Metheny forge a lyrical, mostly acoustic style at once intimate and expansive. Both pare their playing to a Zen-like economy, focusing on a purity of tone, clarity of harmony, and counterpoint to achieve a tender lyricism.
Metheny's acoustic steel-string and classical guitars predominate, but he also applies discreet overdubs (including some delicate synthesizer and keyboard textures) to sculpt orchestral detail. Haden, as always, is both a generous foil and a deft melodist on his own, moving easily into his instrument's upper register as he twines through Metheny's lines. The set's emotional coherence is particularly satisfying in light of the material, which spans Ennio Morricone ("Cinema Paradiso"), Henry Mancini ("Two for the Road"), Jim Webb ("The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress"), and Roy Acuff ("The Precious Jewel") as well as affecting originals by both leaders. And giving the project a sense of closure, while commenting obliquely on the generational dialogue it represents, is the luminous "Spiritual" (composed by Haden's son, Josh), an instrumental prayer that exemplifies the balance of concision and deep emotion at the heart of this exquisite triumph. --Sam Sutherland
Customer Reviews:
pure harmony.......2007-07-07
An intimate, sometimes haunting, always soothing compilation of melodious tracks by two masters. The focus is introspective yet sophisticated; it is a subtle, lyrical synthesis of dreamy acoustic guitar and bass.
Haden's bass lines twine and insinuate through the familiar Metheny guitar work; this is real mellow winding-down music, better than evening cocktails.
These tracks are only vaguely jazz-like; really, this music is genre transcending. Great stuff as background music to read or write by. If only more of reality was this smooth . . .
Highly recommended.

perfect late night cd........2007-01-16
reading & music go together like wine & cheese at my house. since most of my reading is done later in the evening, i am always looking for great music on the quieter side (the stooges, husker du, etc... will not do at midnight). this is one of my favorite late night recordings. I can't recommend it highly enough. Metheny's guitar & Haden's bass work up perfection on these melodies. Each track is a gem. Can't wait to give it yet another listen.
One of most my treasured records.......2007-01-06
I often return to this recording. It's simply sublime. The interplay between the players is beyond words, and the last song "Spiritual" is just that. Gives me goose bumbs everytime I hear it. A great record for falling asleep to, or having a quiet evening with someone you love. I can't recommend it enough. I'm not a huge fan of Pat's 80's new agey sounding stuff, but "Beyond the Missouri Sky" is amazing. I've enjoyed several Charile Haden records as well. I can't believe that this record is buried as cd #38 on amazon when one types in Pat Metheny. To me it should be the first one up, even before his first three records.
sensual.......2006-12-21
I heard the last track on this album one day on the radio. It is a fabulously beautiful music. So I got the album. The rest of the album is very nice, but the last track turned out to remain my absolute favorite. Beautiful CD packaging too.

Very Silly.......2007-05-16
This is an excellent CD. I just wish that the veggie tales theme song was on it too.
Veggie Tales are the best.......2007-05-16
I love watching Veggie Tales and singing the silly songs almost as much as my son! We each have our favorite songs that we get to sing to in the car. If you love Veggie Tales silly songs, you will thoroughly enjoy this CD.
Not just for little kids!.......2007-03-05
My kids got this CD as a gift, but I have to admit that I love it at least as much as they do, and sing right along with it all the time. In fact, I'm now buying it for my 44-year old sister and her 15- and 16-year old kids - at their insistence! Very, very funny lyrics, with great music that you will carry in your head all day, whether you want to or not! On another note, I'm not Christian, and was concerned that this CD might not be appropriate for my kids for that reason, but it's not religious at all (we usually just skip the one cute, non-religious Santa song). Highly recommend this CD!
Can't Listen Enough.......2007-02-15
This CD is AMAZING!! I am a lover of veggie tales and this CD had all my favorites!
For Christians and Non-Christians, the one to get, except...........2007-02-04
sigh, 'The Bunny Song' is on the other compilaiton (which is my mind is not as good as this one.) I'm not a Christian, but I did grow up going to Sunday School where we watched many of the Veggie Tale films. This is a good group of songs for toddlerrs/little kids/ or teens and adults wishing to have simple songs stuck in their head all day. For Christians the songs are a good reminder for the kids throughout the week, and for non-christians wishing to expand their collection without being "preached" at throughout the cd, this is a nice collection.
for those concerned about the content, lyrics are provided on various lyric websites.
