5 out of 5 stars A True Cowboy.......2006-02-25

This is the best cd I have purchased in a long time. I like every track and I listen to it all the time.

4 out of 5 stars Real good country.......2005-07-22

This is a real good country album, there's no doubt about it,Chris does very good music. There's only two problems with this album the presentation of the album who is not so good, and the production who put the bass sound too high. For the rest I think this is one of the better albums that i hear in the last times.

5 out of 5 stars Great Rodeo Album For the Road!.......2003-07-04

Being a pro bull rider, I of course like to hear music that relates to rodeo. So, I am a big Chris LeDoux fan. I've been hearing about another Chris that does rodeo music. I finally got a chance to hear it and love it. I'm glad there are still country artists who recognize that rodeo and the cowboy way of life is the core of country music. This is a great CD for rodeo and traditional country music fans. 'Born to Ride' is my new anthem and 'Barstool Cowboy' is hilarious! Buy it and support real country music and rodeo!

5 out of 5 stars Like Bullriding & Rodeo Music? Buy it!.......2003-02-18

I love all of the rodeo music out there! But, I needed something new. I kept hearing 'Born to Ride' at rodeos. One night a drew a bonus bull that had thrown me twice and stomped my hand the third time. The fourth time I rode him for an 82. Not my best. But, I rode him and won an extra $2000 to boot. The song that was playing was 'Born to Ride'. So, I bought the CD. I love it. Now I play it before every rodeo to get me pumped up!

5 out of 5 stars Awesome Rodeo Songs!.......2002-10-23

I'm a huge LeDoux fan. Out on the rodeo circuit, I kept hearing about another Chris. I thought they were talking about LeDoux. One night I bummed a ride to the next rodeo with a bronc rider and he had a bootleg tape playing. It sounded different. But, I thought it had to be LeDoux. The guy said it was Chris Sparks, not LeDoux. So, I looked it up on the Web and bought it. I love it. Now, I keep hearing bootleg copies. But, I got the real thing. I recommend you should too.

5 out of 5 stars HOT! Deep sexy voice! Whoo hoo.......2002-10-23

I love this song! It's hot. Chris' voice is even sexier on this one. I wonder what it's like in concert. Judging from the way he wears his Wranglers, I bet it's really hot. Chris talks a bit in this one. So, you get to hear what he sounds like. He's got a deep sexy voice. I love the little wicked laugh at the end too.

5 out of 5 stars A Hot New Version of 'Rub It In'!.......2001-11-08

If you liked the original by Billy 'Crash' Craddock, you'll love this updated version. I've seen both of them perform this. Billy can definitely move it at his age. But take my word for it girls, seeing Chris perform this song is an experience you must have! I've never seen a country singer move like Chris. It's more like Tom Jones in tight Wranglers! His deep voice is just as sexy as his looks too. That's all I'll say about that! :)

At least take the time to get a copy of the single. Chris' version was so good, it has encouraged other signed artists to cut the song too. But, none of them touch Chris' version. He kept it similar to the original; but, changed it just enough to make it his. His sinister little laugh at the end is worth it in itself!

      Product Description

STATE PROPERTY, the soundtrack to the Beanie Sigel gangsta movie vehicle, follows in the tradition of such gritty collections as Bobby Womack's ACROSS 110TH STREET and Curtis Mayfield's SUPERFLY in its dissection of thug life as it is lived in 21st century urban America. In particular there are several self-conscious nods in the direction of Mayfield's masterpiece, especially on the wah-wah heavy "No Glory" and the heavily atmospheric "Bitch Niggas," while "Why Must I" features quotes from George Clinton's "Atomic Dog" in its no-frills exposition of thug motivation. Sigel is heavily featured throughout, lending his authentic thug persona to tracks such as the valedictory "Trouble Man" (not the Marvin Gaye song), and the autobiographical "Hood I Know," where, joined by fellow thugs Freeway, Young Chris, Sparks, and Oschino, he runs down his character's life in a chillingly matter-of-fact style. There's little relief in this unrelentingly bleak soundscape, though the '70s references in the musical backing win a few points for easing the general melancholy.
