About the Artist
Bill Mullis is about something that goes beyond the norm to bring to the heart of the Christian audience something we might call the real thing. His energy and enthusiasm blended with a huge talent for ministering a song, has made him very popular among those who attend his concerts. Bill is a man of strong Christian convictions and is a true man of integrity. In every concert he performs his zeal to express God's love through his music is transferred to his audience.
Recently Bill has performed at the CCA convention, sharing the main stage with other guests that included, Dottie Rambo, Laverne & Edith Tripp, Stella Parton, Ken Holloway, & Darin Norwood. He has also performed at the "Nashville Cowboy Church" for Dr. Harry Yates and Joann Cash Yates. He is a seasoned Songwriter, Recording artist and Minister of the gospel.
His ministry not only extends throughout the USA but has become a world wide ministry being broadcast in over 10 different countries.
Bill was called to preach at the age of 16 but ignored the calling until later in life. Playing guitar and singing in clubs and bars was a lifestyle he led until Jesus Christ changed his tune. He was directed by the Lord to attend Rhema Bible Training Center and was ordained by Dr. Kenneth E. Hagin. He now preaches and sings a new song dedicated to the Lord. With burning desire he travels and ministers to all hearts open and needing to experience the love the Lord allows him to share.
In 1987 Bill began his career as a solo artist and has established a reputation among churches and pastors as a versatile and inspiring performer. His musical styles range from Christian Country to Inspirational, with a touch of contemporary and Southern gospel mixed in. The release of his most recent CD "Dreamland" features "Not Turning Back" which has charted on the Christian Country national chart.
Believing that "WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE" Bill brings a message of hope and inspiration, packaged in a wonderful mix of old style country and new gospel influences. There are testimonies about his music bringing healing and restoration of personal and family relationships, bringing couples closer to one another while strengthening their marriages and renewing the love of Christ in their hearts.
Bill has the unique ability to minister to an audience of all ages and musical tastes, and never fails to leave them uplifted and encouraged. His music comes from a heart of gratefulness with a purpose of ministering for his Lord.

Customer Reviews:
Another great trip down the MFU memory lane.......2005-10-19
Volume 2 (comprised of 2 CDs) is another first rate compilation of the series' original music and not to be missed by U.N.C.L.E. fans. The liner notes are wonderful and add a lot to ones appreciation of the music.
My only problem is that THE CDs ARE COPY PROTECTED! Considerable work is needed to get the music onto your iPod, if you really want the music in your mp3 collection. This is a major hassle and a surprise, since the first set in the series was not copy protected.
The best of the three Double CDs ORIGINAL soundtrack release.......2005-07-12
Many of us have always thought The Man From UNCLE had the best music for a TV series ever, and this three double CD release confirms this. Wow! I'd be just happy with one CD, but having SIX (three double CDs packages) is absolutely out of this world, I mean, a lifetime wait come true.
Indeed, this is an unbelievable collection of three double CDs packages with the complete series soundtrack, and I mean the complete music, not a tune is missing.
And this is the ORIGINAL Man From Uncle music. Let me stress the point: this is the four years ORIGINAL soundtrack with the original recordings as they were heard throughout the series, not a no-name orchestra doing personal versions of the stuff. The audio transfer is very, very good, the music from late episodes is even in stereo.
Each individual CD carries over 70 minutes of music. All in all there you have the four TV seasons main titles and all, absolutely all of TMFU unforgetable music.
This is not a chronological release, meaning, all CDs have a mix of music from all four TV seasons. Volume 1 is heavier on early TV seasons stuff, fans of Jerry Goldsmith will love it. Those of us who prefer what Gerald Fried and later Richard Shores did with TMFU music, then volume 2 is mandatory. If you are a fan, you can't miss any of these six CDs. However if buying all three double packages is too much for you, you must go with Volume 2, no questions asked. Volume three is the weakest of them as it brings "suites" and a whole CD with "The Girl From Uncle" soundtrack, but you have a bonus "Open Channel D" beeper.
Each package is gorgeous, each with a glossy color booklet with extensive liner notes with details on how each tune was written to a specific TV series episode and how it was used onwards. You have bios on the composers, on how the recordings were made, even an overview on how many instruments were available in each of the years the music was recorded.
So, throw away your Hugo Montenegro Man From Uncle CD, this is the REAL thing.

Customer Reviews:
Absolute classics performed perfectly.......2005-06-07
The art of the english anthem is second only in church, and actually, all of music to the rennaisance motet. On this CD, you can hear 11 of the most fine english anthems ever written. John Stainer, Charles Stanford, Balfourd Gardiner, John Ireland, Edward Bairstow are geniuses and their work shines perfectly on the first ever volume of English Anthems. Only Edward Naylor's "Vox Dicentis: Clama", which is still fine, doesn't seem to belong among the other giants.
The boys are the best in the St. Paul's Cathedral Choir, the countertenors are also right on. The tenors and basses while overdoing the vibrato just a bit, are still a reliable foundation.
Highlights: "I saw the Lord" (1), the mysterious and evocative "Evening Hymn" (3), "Beati Quorum Via" (6), the best english anthem ever written "Blessed City, Heavenly Salem" (7) (although a bit too slow on this recording, in my opinion), "Greater Love Hath No Man" (9) and the jubilant "God is gone up" (11)
Out of everything I've ever heard (which is a lot), this is the one choral recording to own.
English anthem, St Pauls Cathedral, vols 1-7.......2000-05-05
If you could have only one CD collection of English anthems, this should be it! Besides the incomparable ST Pauls Cathedral choir, the selection of composers & anthems offers a wide variety from medieval times to the present. Excellent recording - also very difficult to choose which of the 7 volumes. Buy them all!

Customer Reviews:
wedding classics.......2007-06-18
a very useful collection of music for weddings. A pity that at least two of the samples let you hear the wrong music, i.e. other music than the title shows......
Problem with Samples.......2007-06-13
I am just reviewing to let people know that at least one of the audio samples is incorrect. I clicked the sample to listen to the sample of Meditation from Thais by Massenet but what played was the Entrance to the Queen of Sheba by Handel.
Perfect Music for a Perfect Day.......2003-04-02
What an excellent collection of music from the amazing Chandos catalog. All the selections are arranged into sections based on where in the ceremony the music would be heard. And there's more than just 'Here Comes the Bride' (although it is there) but all sorts of choices that any bride would love to make her wedding memorable and individual. 2 CDs that have all sorts of different music whether you're planning a traditional wedding or just a few friends in the park, there is something in it for anyone. I highly recommend this collection!

Stunning, but one annoying flaw.......2006-03-17
The singing is flawless and deeply moving.
But why does track 13 - Ubi Caritas - insist on starting AFTER the music has already begun. When approached from number 12, it works fine. But to cue the thing (which is why I bought this CD), you have to BACK UP to hear the song from the beginning.
I thought it was just my CD or my player - but NO, the flaw is on this web page too.
Still, this is a treasured CD.
Beautiful Tribute.......2005-08-06
This album from one of the world's greatest organists, John Scott, is one of the most beautiful musical tributes to those who lost their lives in 9/11. The Nunc Dimittis is one of the most haunting versons of this traditional prayer ever written.

Customer Reviews:
No Greater Love!!!!.......2007-06-05
There is no greater love than Christ for his Redeemed!! This CD with selections from various artists celebrate this fact, and the piece, "I Will Glory in My Redeemer," is just one example of the theme which this album promotes. I love the album and have listened to it repeatedly. Each and every selection, I guarantee you, will continue to grow on you, and also become a part of you, so that you will be singing it or humming its melodies wherever you may be. And the lyrics are rich in meaning and filled with solid teaching and theology, although put to contemporary styles. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommended!!!
No Greater Album!.......2005-11-24
No Greater Love has got to be my all-time hands down favorite PDI/Sovereign Grace album. It gives great value for money with a whole whack of tunes and every single one ranks among the best worship music I've ever heard. Musically, there's some great rockers, one of which borders on punk, and a couple of stand-out medium-speed worship songs (which are the hardest to write and therefore the hardest to find), and classic worshipful ballads: I Will Glory in My Redeemer, Your Holy Majesty, and O Wondrous Love, just to name a few. Theologically, this album is as strong as it gets, a unified opus extolling the greatness of our Savior as evidenced by him dying as our substitute. If you like Sovereign Grace music, you're going to love this album.

A Very poor recording.......2000-05-09
I was very disappointed when I received this CD. The recording was of very low quality -- it sounds as though someone is holding a pillow over the speaker. Don't waste your time with this one.
Amazing, wonderful, beautiful!.......2000-03-14
A must have, I was blown out of the water by this fabulous recording by the choir of Grace Cathedral. The sound of the boys is stunning, and the treble soloists have outstanding voices. If you enjoy choral music, this cd is a must.

If you never heard a jazz record in your life, this might be the one to hear first. Simple, soulful, well-produced but not over-produced. And if you're as big a fan of The Brute as I am, you'll love this record!

Album Description
Handel's oratorios vary greatly in their presentation. In many ways, Esther is a rarity;it is by far the most intimate, not surprisingly as it was composed for the Duke of Chandos. The Duke's Palladian palace near the village ofEdgware had not been completed in time for the first performance so this may have taken place (as did Acis and Galatea) in the intimate surroundings of a small church, St Lawrence, Whitchurch.
We decided, therefore, that we should attempt to convey that intimacy of performance on disc; so we performed in the round with microphones in the middle, the orchestra in front of me, the choir behind and the soloists alongside. The result is everything that chamber music should be where players and singers can enjoy every aspect of Handel's masterpiece.
"The 'sound' of Esther, superbly communicated in the recorded performance here, is pure enchantment... The choral singing has an exceptional grandure, and the instrumental playing a shimmering beauty. Among the soloists, none of whom is less than accomplished, Nancy Argenta and Michael Chance dominate... Both singers affirm a new golden age of Handel interpretation".

THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME.......2007-01-26
Esther is the first of Handel's oratorios by a good many years, written when he was 33 and enjoying the patronage of the Duke of Chandos. When he later became his own impresario and was running into trouble as a composer and producer of Italian operas he turned to oratorio as a strategic alternative, but at this early date his concern was to deliver staged entertainments for the Duke, and Esther, contemporary with the work that later gained the title Acis and Galatea, seems to have been just an unusually serious specimen of its type.
As often with Handel, there is no fully official version of the score, and this particular score may not even be fully complete from any point of view. The libretto seems to have been the work of someone in the frivolously named association of big literary figures called the Scriblerus Club, perhaps Dr John Arbuthnot, dedicatee of Pope's great poetic Epistle, but Pope himself may have had a hand in it too. As we have it here, the work breaks into two very asymmetrical parts. Scenes 1 and 2 start with a recitative lasting only seconds from Habdonah followed by a longer one in which Haman announces his onslaught on the Israelites, and from there on feature only anonymous participants. Esther herself and the other named characters make their appearance first in scene 4, but the change of tone occurs in scene 3. At this point the music gains gravity first in the chorus Ye sons of Israel with its extraordinary modulations and then in the striking aria O Jordan, Jordan. I myself feel that this weightier tone is maintained to the end, whether or not the writer of the liner note is correct in saying that the long final chorus with solos is out of proportion to its context.
Throughout - in the first part as well as in scenes 3-6 - the instrumental writing is vivid and varied, with an extraordinary pizzicato accompaniment to Tune your harps and then an even more extraordinary obbligato from the harp itself at Praise the Lord. The harpist is no less than Jan Walters, but sometime I would like to see the score and check out what seem some odd rhythmic interactions here between her and the soloist Nancy Argenta. There are no fewer than ten vocal soloists in a work lasting a little over an hour and a quarter, and a very distinguished bunch they are. I was particularly pleased to find Michael Chance in the countertenor role of the Priest of the Israelites as I admire the strength of his tone, but there is no real weakness among them, unless Lynda Russell as Esther has a couple of very slightly awkward high notes in Flatt'ring tongue, which must be a little nerve-wracking to sing as she has to find her note for herself unaccompanied at the start and later at the reprise. You will see some big names among the instrumentalists too, with Crispian Steele-Perkins on the trumpet making a predictably fine contribution towards the end, and of course with Jan Walters in that marvellous harp part early on. The chorus gets some wonderful work to do, and rises to it fully. I really am unable to worry about the proportionateness of the final chorus when I hear that incomparable Handelian build of tone, sung by 18 singers and sounding as if there were 100.
There is a good liner note by Graydon Beeks Jr, not perhaps the last word in lucidity (neither is the plot of the libretto come to that) but worth re-reading. Harry Christophers himself contributes a short foreword largely concerned with the recording process and highlighting the contributions of Mark Brown and Mike Hatch, his long-time technical collaborators. I was interested to see also the name of Geoff Miles in a role described as `editor'. What responsibilities this involved is not stated and perhaps I ought to know without being told, but I know the work of Geoff Miles as recording engineer from elsewhere and it gave me confidence just to see that he is involved in the proceedings, and the technical work is predictably excellent.
My collection of Handel oratorios is now almost complete, and what a wonderful musical experience they are. Each is unique in its own way, but Esther is unique in some very special ways, and I suggest that you do not wait until you are my age to get to know it.
a voice teacher and early music fan.......2006-04-04
Handel began composing the oratorio 'Esther' in 1718. There is some confusion as to who actually worte the libretto for it, but the story follows very closely the biblical story of Esther in the Book of Esther in the old testament. The story tells of a plot of Haman, the Agagite (Michael George-bass) jealous and powerful vizier of King Xerses (Ahasuerus-Tom Randle-tenor) of Persia(485-464), to destroy in a single day all the Jews living in the Roman Empire. He is moved to this out of hatred for the Jewish servant Mordecai (Mark Padmore-tenor),who for religious motives refuses to render him homage. The day of the proposed massacre is determined by lot. Meanwhile, Esther, niece and adopted daughter of Mordecai, is chosen Queen by King Xerses. She averts the pogrom planned against her people and has the royal decree of extermination reversed against Haman and the enemies of the Jews. Mordecai replaces Haman, and together with Esther, works for the welfare of their people. As you can see this makes for an interesting Oratorio, which it truly is!
This is a "small" contribution compared to many of Handel's other works. However, it is not "small" in a musical sense. There is much creativity on the part of Handel as to orchestral scoring; he exploits his small orchestra and chorus in surprising ways, introducing new vocal and instrumental colours throughout the score, adding and subtracting instruments and voices in many and varied ways. This is a listening surprise as it moves along. And what a great performance on the part of the Christophers as well as some outstanding vocal soloists. Mark Padmore's (Mordecai) aria "Tune Your Harps to Cheerful Strains" was superb as was the Duet between Lynda Russell (Esther) and Tom Randle (Ahasuerus). But the aria that really drew me into the entire drama was sung by Michael Chance (Priest) "O Jordan, Jordan, sacred Tide." It was perfection itself!!!!The Chorus was extremely good and dictionally perfect. It is a great listening experience.

one of the Glories of Fine Church Music .......2007-03-21
This collection of English Anthems is a real treasure for anyone who wants to here good Church Music in a glorious Setting. The two Anthems that would simply bring tears to your eyes and send shivers down your spine for me are the Edgar Bainton And I saw new Heaven and the Kenneth Leighton Let all the world with the final chords dying out on that sonorous Double 32 Trombone of the magnificent Harrison Organ.
The perfect performance.......2007-03-06
This recording is remarkable in the consistency of its superb sound.
The anthems selected are all excellent - most are well known, but there are a few "hidden treasures". The choir's tone is beyond criticism, as is the organ.
The performance of Harris's "Faire is the Heaven" is spine-tingling.
I can think of few recordings more fitted to begin a collection of English choral music, and if you already have recordings of most anthems on this CD, these performances are heartily recommended to hear nonetheless.
I certainly consider this CD a wonderful purchase!
Glorious!!.......2000-09-26
An earlier LP from King's in the 70's under the then Conductor Sir David Willcocks touched upon some of these choral'gems'. The present conductor Stephen Cleobury continues this tradition with some of the same and several 20th century anthems. Glorious singing of the highest standard!! The choir is in fine form here. Particular highlight's are 'Faire is the heaven' and 'And I saw a new heaven'. Recommended wholeheartedly!!
A fascinating anthology.......1999-01-14
This album is well-appreciated in being a well-performed anthology of choral gems by English composers. Much of the fine music here is by composers whose names may not be as familiar as Britten, et al. What is revealed, however, is the mastery of those individuals, as well as their lack of deserved recognition.
