About the Artist
Donna Lee and friends brings together New England and Nashville. The songs of Massachusetts writers Jim Armenti, Clark Honeywell as well as Donna's own creations are recorded in Nashville at County Q Productions. Donna Lee's "Northern Country" sound was created when Nashville musicians Scott Q. Merry (Bass and Upright Bass) Paul Sholten(Drums) Tony Harrell (Piano - Organ) Larry Franklin (Fiddle)John Catchings (Cello) and others were all lead by the Never heard in Nashville style of Jim Armenti. His one of a kind guitar playing with his creative production skills made this recording a pleasure for all who performed on it as well as all who now enjoy listening to it. JIM ARMENTI (clarinet, guitar, mandolin, back-up vocals), area master musician, is known throughout the northeast as an instrumentalist, songwriter and teacher. Jim is currently performing and writing with several bands. As principal writer, vocalist and guitarist of the Lonesome Brothers he shares the stage with recording artist and longtime collaborator Ray Mason and Steel Guitar World columnist Doug Beaumier. The Lonesome Brothers just released a self-titled CD with all originals by Jim Armenti and Ray Mason. Jim plays electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin, bazouki and tenor sax.
