Editorial Reviews
Rhett Ashley, International Country Music Association Newsletter February 18, 2002
"A Voice this good deserves a better production, but overall a good album".

Product Description
Singer-Songwriter Meade Skelton has released a brilliant sophmore attempt with "They Can't Keep Me Down", a classic mixture of heartache and humor, and honesty without pretense. The CD runs the gamut from Progressive and Alternative Country to Pop and Folk, and even a tinge of Gospel. Meade's voice has never been more powerful or beautiful on this album. His classically trained Tenor soars on the slow ballads, and pumps energy through the uptempo songs. This album is perfect for fans of strong vocals, powerful lyrics, and well crafted songs.

Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Awful just awful.......2007-06-08

This music is incredibly dull and pointless not to mention Meade Skelton harassed numerous people on the internet to buy into his garbage that he's a great musician and he went on to verbally assault lots of people who didn't think he was as great as Elvis, a pathetic cd and an even more pathetic human being

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant !.......2007-05-01

Wonderful songs and a great, powerful voice. If you like Americana Pop then this is the Album for you. The best tracks are "They Called Me Porker", "I Love To Eat (And It Shows)", "Beautiful Lady", and "Rusty Barbed Wire Dream".
Infectious music that is addictive.

5 out of 5 stars One of the best albums of the year!.......2005-12-03

I can't believe that I enjoyed this album as much as I did. It's wonderful date music - women really love it. Meade Skelton is like Barry White for my generation. Seriously. You have to play this next time you have a girl over. Especially the track "They Called Me Porker".

1 out of 5 stars So bad it's scary.......2005-12-02

For the sake of all that is holy, let's hope that "they" can keep Meade Skelton down.

5 out of 5 stars highly recommend.......2005-11-29

I wasn't sure what to expect the first time I heard this CD, I was pleasantly surprised. Since then it's become one of my all time favorites. The lyrics are original, witty, and at the same time touching as they depict some of things we all experience in our lives. I have given this CD as gifts to my friends and family. I highly recommend.
