Editorial Reviews
Miles Of Music
"captures the charm and simplicity of '50s and '60s country-flavored rock 'n' roll without sounding like a full-on retro record."

Product Description
This is the debut album from Columbus, Ohio's Justin Lute. Like many Americana artists, Lute draws inspiration from a host of different genres --- rockabilly, classic country, alt. country, vintage R & B. Lute and his co-producer, José Gonzales (Two Cow Garage), obviously aren't too hung up on tradition here, though, and they've certainly put their own stamp on things. Thus, this eclectic and catchy batch of tunes is able to move through and between all of these styles without sounding schizophrenic. A few of the numbers, such as the two tracks that open the album, kind of rock like hell. Others, such as "Lori Lou" and "I'd Rather Be Crying", gallop along in a very pleasant, unassuming way. The songs are simple, but there are lots of memorable hooks and some very crafty lyrics in there for those paying attention. Fans of contemporary artists such as Buddy Miller, Jim Lauderdale, Scott Miller, and Dwight Yoakam, should get a kick out of this one.
