The report came over the TV networks. The stores in the small town of Palestine, West Virginia, the hometown of Pvt. First Class Jessica Lynch, had no more flags and ribbons. Like in so many other American stores, they were all sold out. With millions of flags and ribbons, we the people are showing our heartfelt support for the men and women who are defending the freedoms that we enjoy.
No More Flags or Ribbons is Rick & Gwen's musical prayer on behalf of our brave troops. It was written some eleven years ago during a similar grassroots response to Desert Storm. They never got around to recording it and so they've taken it out, dusted it off and are offering it now. As you know, the events of 9/11 precipitated the all out war on terrorism. Should'a Been Home By Now is included on this CD because it was written to help us to never forget how the events of that day forever changed America and the rest of our world. It is also offered as a 9/11 memorial song dedicated to the memory of the heroes and the thousands who were lost.
