Brad Paisley's previous release, Mud on the Tires, was the sort of landmark album nearly every artist has difficulty topping. Not so this time. On Time Well Wasted, Paisley's voice--never overwhelmed by overmixed instruments (a problem dogging many current vocalists)--remains keenly focused. There's quality material in abundance, heavy on originals and delightfully quirky bonus tracks. The album's first hit, Paisley's self-penned "Alcohol," has the potential to become a lasting anthem in a genre where booze songs long ago became an art form. Guy Clark's "Out in the Parkin' Lot," a duet with Alan Jackson, sounds more organic, less contrived than most Music Row pairings. The same applies to "When I Get Where I'm Going," a spiritual duet with Dolly Parton. As in the past, Paisley's country-jazz Telecaster prowess (phemonenal on the dazzling instrumental "Time Warp") remains remarkable, as does his insistence that his sidemen get ample space to shine. Such assets set Paisley apart, as does his ability to make real creativity commercially successful in a Nashville concerned mainly with the latter. --Rich Kienzle

5 out of 5 stars Bright Paisley.......2007-06-24

When I first saw Brad Paisley I thought he was a hayseed singer with a hat too big for his head. That was though until he opened his mouth and sang. He has a warm honey voice that throughly enjoyable to listen to. This CD is varied with ballads, up-tempo to humorous. His funny songs are a favorite of mine. I don't think anyone will be disappointed in this CD

This CD arrived very fast. I listen to it constantly and really like it. I appreciate that Amazon.com sold it to me for considerably LESS than Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Target, Silver Platters or any other retailer where I had priced it at.

Thanks, Amazon!

4 out of 5 stars Almost perfect!.......2007-03-23

I love this whole album except for the "Cornography" track.
The songs are all either beautiful/funny/toe-tapping, etc. but I think Brad has misrepresented himself with the final track.
I'm still a loyal fan though, I've met the guy and his convictions are real. I think he just lost his head for a second.
Five stars without the "Cornography" track.

5 out of 5 stars Great but Still Wanted More.......2007-06-27

First, I do not like the cover. But beyond that, the CD is great fun to listen to. John Denver had so many hits, that this doesn't cover all of them by any means, but it is a great CD to take you back to a more peaceful time musically. It makes me want to bring out my guitar and play along.

5 out of 5 stars TRUELY a song's best friend!.......2007-05-28

what else can i say? at 36, and i grew up in a strictly religious household, so i missed him growing up, but i got spots going into public places & whatnot. i remember a vacation while young in the WV woods when one of his most popular songs was on the radio & i memorized it the first time i heard it and sung it to myself time and time again, while walking through the woods or horse back riding- just enjoying nature. he has a way of giving you nature and the beauty of it in a song. God gave us such as one as him so we could stop and remember the beauty of all that is around us all the time.

5 out of 5 stars All of John Denver's Greatest Hits.......2007-05-23

John Denver passed away in October, 1997 while piloting a small airplane. Before that, he left an indelible mark on the pop music industry. By combining harmonic vocals with a recognizable acoustic sound, John's music still remains popular with fans of all ages.

From the autobiographical "Rocky Mountain High" to the melodic and uplifting "Calypso", this collection contains many of John's most famous songs. Other selections include "Annie"; a song John wrote for his wife, "Take me Home, Country Roads", and "Thank God I'm a Country Boy".

I wasn't a big fan of John Denver before I bought this CD, but I really enjoy listening to his music now. This is the perfect disc for the casual fan, because all of his most popular hits are on it; there's no need to buy several other discs to get them.

I give this great collection my highest recommendation. If you're a major fan or just a casual fan, then this is the CD you'll want to own.

After switching to big-name British producer John Paul Jones (of Led Zeppelin fame; he also contributes some instrumental support), this female stringband quartet continues to go wider and deeper in its exploration of acoustic Americana. On their sophomore release, Uncle Earl's balance contributes to their range. Each of the four is a virtuosic musician, all contributing vocals that blend into the buoyant harmonies of "One True," the a cappella shape-note spiritual "Buonaparte," and the field hymn "Easy in the Early ('Til Sundown)." While uptempo fare spotlights the sprightly fiddle of Rayna Gellert, banjoist Abigail Washburn sings a stark meditation on mortality in the revival of Ola Belle Red's "My Epitaph," with guitarist Kristin Andreassen illuminating the vocal purity of A.C. Carter's "The Birds Were Singing of You." As for percussion, Gillian Welch provides guest drums on "The Last Goodbye," and Andreassen's clogging serves as a rhythm track behind Gellert's fiddle on "Sisters of the Road." --Don McLeese

5 out of 5 stars What a sound!.......2007-05-28

This is my first exposure to Uncle Earl and I must say that they are phenominally talented. The fact that they could get John Paul Jones to produce this album is a huge plus because I have always been a huge fan of his picking. This is definetly a good disk to pick up.

5 out of 5 stars Another Excellent CD.......2007-05-07

I have really been enjoying this CD. It certainly meets the high expectations I have for this group!! I want to see them live now more than ever.

4 out of 5 stars Woohoo for Waterloo!.......2007-04-16

I like that this cd has its dark moments (The Last Goodbye, My Epitaph, The Birds were Singing of You), but also manages to find room to get frisky (Black-Eyed Susie, Streak O' Lean/Streak of Fat, Easy in the Early). I often find myself effortlessly identifying with the characters in these songs. The vocal chemistry of these gals is extraordinary and I like the steady rotation of lead vocal duties. And of course, this cd is packed full of fiddles, banjos, violins, acoustic guitars, and mandolins which are played just as sharply as the singing. A sterling addition to any bluegrass collection.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent .......2007-04-11

Uncle Earl again showed excellent talent. If you like old timey music or more traditional blue grass, you will fall in love with these girls.

5 out of 5 stars Should be your favorite uncle..........2007-03-24

As unusual as it is for a relatively new group's second offering to surpass their first, the women known as Uncle Earl have pulled it off. Their blend of wonderful traditional pieces and great original works, performed with joy and virtuosity are a marvel to behear and behold it you're lucky enough to catch them in concert and don't even get me started on their unique harmonies... Do yourself and acoustic music a favor, buy it.

5 out of 5 stars Great Songs, Just As You Remember Them!.......2007-05-30

I remember my father listening to Roger Miller when I was 6 or 7 years old. He had a small reel to reel tape that we took to the beach with us. It was the kind where you had to feed the tape onto the empty reel, and then rewind it when it was done. I know, dinosaur technology, but I have fond memories of those days.

This album of Roger Miller's best songs sound as great today as they did back in the 1960s. I've had "King of the Road" stuck in my head for days, thanks to this album. I also love the aw-shucks sound of "Dang Me", "Chug A Lug" and "Do Wacka Do". My kids loved listening to "You Can't Roller Skate In a Buffalo Herd" until I actually refused to play it again.

Not all Miller's songs are funny or nonsensical, though. He sings about heartbreak and true love in "In the Summertime" and "Little Green Apples". He also does an impressive version of "Me and Bobby McGee".

In all, there are 20 classic Roger Miller songs on this album. There's also a great CD insert telling about Miller's life and his untimely death from throat cancer. I was surprised to read that Miller wrote most of his own songs, and that he was a gifted fiddle player and guitarist. So take a walk down memory lane - anyone who grew up in the 60s will remember these songs! And it's great that his albums can entertain another generation.

5 out of 5 stars Roger Miller.......2007-05-19

This album is better than I remembered. I was not a country western fan in the late 70s and 80s, but I did have a Roger Miller album than used to get into the mix now and then. I remember liking it more than I expected so I ordered a new copy recently and was surprised at how much more I enjoy it now.

5 out of 5 stars Big River.......2007-05-07

Great selection and finally River In The Rain from Big River again available.

5 out of 5 stars Truly a classic!.......2007-01-17

Roger Miller was a talented artist and this CD is a joy to listen to. Yes, a fond trip down memory lane each and every time we hear it. The songs possess a sense of humor and a sensitiviy for the human condition.
We highly recommend this collection of superb timeless music.

Jimmy Buffett's third album, Living and Dying yielded the hit single "Come Monday," which still ranks among his finest compositions. As wistful and romantic as that number may be, the dominant feeling of the album is gentle good humor, as on songs like the richly detailed "Brand New Country Star," the nostalgic "Pencil Thin Mustache," and a recitation of the Lord Buckley tall tale "God's Own Drunk." Buffett approaches country & western-style topics on "Livingston's Gone to Texas" and "Brahma Fear" without succumbing to the blandness of de rigueur Music City product. "West Nashville Grand Ballroom Gown," meanwhile, has to be considered the definitive song of debutante rebellion. It's a thin field, admittedly, but a song worthy of the title nonetheless. --Daniel Durchholz

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Updating Buffett Collection!.......2007-01-04

I have played my ORIGINAL cassette tape so much, it is beyond use. Purchased this CD and I am thrilled with the clarity.

3 out of 5 stars Buffett Goes Country.......2006-11-06

Buffett is still rooted in Key West for this album, but the music actually takes a step backward towards his country Nashville leanings. Although the cover shot is of Jimmy on board and old shipwreck of a boat called "Good Luck" the album itself is one of his least tropical oriented works. Buffett scores his first big top 40 hit on this album with "Come Monday" and also includes longtime fan favorite "Pencil Thin Mustache". As a whole this album leans a bit too far on the country side for my tastes. Songs like "Brahma Fear", "Brand New Country Star", "The Wino And I know" are straight forward country. They are all decent songs, but not what I normally like about Buffett. My favorite song on the album "The Ballad Of Spider John" is not even a Buffett original, but a cover of WA Ramsey. Jimmy also does a live cover of Lord Buckley's "God's Own Drunk" which is good, but not as good as the live version that appears on the "You Had To Be There" live album a few years later. Buffett also covers one of his own songs here with a new version of "Livingston's Gone To Texas" that originally appeared on his "High Cumberland Jubilee" album two years prior. A lot of Buffett fans really love this album, but for me it is not one of his best.

5 out of 5 stars Buffett Classic.......2006-11-02

A great album that holds up well 30+ years later. Jimmy B was not given his dues for his great songwriting then, probably why he has switched to his more popular modern format.
He is one of the great American singer\songwriters of this or any genre.

5 out of 5 stars oldy but goody.......2006-03-09

This album is one of Buffett's earlier ones but its got some great songs that aren't on any of his greatest hits albums.
My personal favorite is "God's own drunk", its very funny and I haven't seen it on any other album.

Amazon.com's Best of 2001

The considerable promise carried forth on Gillian Welch's first two albums is thoroughly fulfilled on Time (The Revelator). Welch has traded the guidance of her previous producer, T Bone Burnett, for the sympathetic studio skills of her longtime guitarist-harmony singer David Rawlings, who loosens the reins just enough to allow moments of spontaneity to sparkle within the duo's spare, eloquent playing. "Revelator" is an instant classic, perhaps the first great folk song of the 21st century. "I Want to Sing That Rock and Roll" is three minutes of Louvins/Everlys-style bliss. "April the 14th, Part 1" haunts its historical context with an achingly melancholy melody. It all leads up to the epic 14-minute "I Dream a Highway," one of the finest closing tracks ever put on record. --Peter Blackstock

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars I want her to sing more of that rock'n'roll!.......2007-07-07

Wow--that track "I want to sing that Rock'n'Roll" just blows me away every time I hear it. I learned about Gillian Welch the way I do about many of the singer-songwriters, by hearing her work covered by someone else. I first heard "Caleb Meyer" and "Elvis Presley Blues" on Joan Baez' "Dark Chords on a Big Guitar". They were beautiful and I went to seek Welch herself out.

No big surprise, her work is wonderful. Her spare style on this CD lends to an intimacy that nothing else will achieve. For the most part, it's just Gillian singing, playing pretty simply on an acoustic guitar. Sit quietly and she comes into the room with you, haunting with her words.

"Red Dirt Halo" is something I can definitely identify with growing up in Oklahoma. 'Port Silt Loam' is the name of the copper intense red clay of the area and the rusty stain is more pernicious than grass. There's actually a company in Oklahoma that uses the red clay to tie dye t-shirts, it works so well.

Only one gig: "April 14 (Part 1)-Ruination Day (Part 2)" is a two parter that I wish was put side by side on the CD. I love the song, but I doubt I'll listen very often, because it brings tears to my eyes. It'd be a lot easier to just skip both of them at once.

5 out of 5 stars A real masterpiece - timeless and thoughtful.......2007-07-02

Considered by many to be Gil & Dave's "masterpiece" (being that it came out right after the huge 'O Brother' craze), Time (The Revelator) is one of the records I can listen to over and over and over again and never get sick of. Gillian Welch has the unique ability to tell a story in her songs, and deliver them in such a way that one has no idea whether they are auto-biographical or just something from her imagination.
The album is slow, with Red Clay Halo and I want to Sing that Rock and Roll the up-tempo old-timey tunes of the bunch. This is definitely an "inspired" album, but don't think you'll be inspired to get up and dance.
Mr. Rawlings guitar playing is fantastic throughout, and Gillian once again picks up the banjo on a few of the songs. Time finishes up with the 14-minute epic "I Dream a Highway", which is, in my opinion a lyricial masterpiece, intricate and detailed and full of emotion.
In short, if you've enjoyed the previous Gillian Welch albums you'll dig this one. If you've never heard them before, get ready for some brilliant, moody, folky song writing, though-provoking lyrics, and stories that are part melancholy, part hopeful, loving, depressing,a little religious and downright captivating!

4 out of 5 stars Gillian Welch - The Revelator.......2007-06-01

bought this because i heard a clip on bbc2. best purchase i have made in a long while. the songs are soothing, foot-tapping and easy to learn. brilliant for listening to on long car journeys, relaxing, or back ground music whilst entertaining. Gillians voice is fantastic as is her partner in crime - david rawlings. what a team. Elvis Presley blues must now be one of my all time favourite songs.

4 out of 5 stars The Way Country Music Should Be Made.......2007-05-01

From the moment you play this album, the words and melody will stay with you. The music is a simple guitar duet, but what really makes this album stand out is the fine songwriting and hauting voice of Gillian Welch. The standout songs on this album are "April the 14th", "Revelator" and "I Dream A Highway".

Normally, I wouldn't like a song like "April the 14th", since musically (and even lyrically, with its out-of-time-and-place historical allusion) it is a dead ringer for Neil Young's "Cortez, The Killer". However, Welch owns the song, and no one can say that it isn't a fine piece of songwriting in its own right.

This is probably one of the best examples of contemporary country music out there.

5 out of 5 stars Great but sad music.......2007-03-17

The first time I saw the Elvis Presley Blues video, I knew that I would have to find out about Gillian Welsh. I bought the Revelator CD and have not been disappointed. I still love Elvis Presley Blues which reminds me of Come to Jesus by Mindy Smith which is also one of my favorite songs.

Each song is very strong although I Dream A Highway is somewhat too long. I usually turn it off before it ends but that is only a small quibble. This is a must-have CD from a great musician who has the courage to create music true to its roots without fear of failure. David Rawlings is the perfect accompanist for her.

Like a human infusion of chamomile tea, hearing Van Morrison's voice has the effect of instantly soothing even the most stressed listener. That said, some of his releases have been so mellow that they muted the '60s soul influences that had been a part of Van's appeal. Not so with Magic Time, a wonderful balance of groove and smoothness, with a "live off the floor" feel evident throughout the disc. Right from the start "Stranded" shows Van at his crooner best--relaxed, present, and joyful. "Celtic New Year" comes next with a very Astral Weeks feel, leading one to believe that this disc might be sedentary through and through… until "Keep Mediocrity at Bay" kicks in, a feisty blues romp proving that though in his sixties, Morrison still has the sass of his best previous days. Morrison's cover of Sinatra's brassy "This Love of Mine" and Perry Como's "I'm Confessin'" are full of cheek and charm. Morrison-as-producer has chosen stellar horn sections that elevate the music from good to great and come from an obvious deep love of classic blues and soul. He's a lover and a fighter (the disc has two references to his disdain of the music industry: "They Sold Me Out" and "Carry On Regardless"), but ultimately true to his own musical vision. This destined-to-be-classic release will please a wide variety of his fans. --Denise Sheppard

5 out of 5 stars Van morrison-Magic Time.......2007-05-31

What can one say about one of the greatest artist of modern times? He could sing the phone book and make it interesting. I've loved Van the Man since the days of THEM and have more of his music in my collection than anybody else. I've seen every performer I've wanted to see worth seeing...almost...except Van and Paul Simon...and just may go to Austin in September if gas comes down! This particular CD is blues and he sticks to the genre like syrup on pancakes on Saturday morning....ummmmm! He is a true genius that deserves to be affected and particular and maybe even strange and a recluse if choosen...like greta garbo...just wants to be left alone. If anyone calls tell them you haven't seen me. He will be worth shedding a tear over when he is gone because he has made the world I live in so much better. Thanks Van the Man for Magic Time always.

3 out of 5 stars DISAPOINTED LONG TIME FAN.......2007-05-15

Definately not his best effort. In fact I have only listened to it one time. Having been a fan since the 60's I can easily say that this is not worth the time or money to include it in your collection. There are so many memorable tunes from Van the Man don't disapoint your self with this one.

3 out of 5 stars standard van morrison fare. nothing wrong with that........2007-02-21

3 and 1/2 stars i would say. this is an enjoyable set, absolutely. there is not really a bad van morrison recording out there (heck, i even get enjoyment from "a period of transition"), but let's face it: van is not trying very hard here. this is the kind of recording he is so used to making that he could call it in on the phone from home. a little r & b, plenty of mid-tempo stuff with nice tame saxophone, standard blues harmonica and some gentle string arrangement stuff. all nice, all predictable. none of it classic (listen to "astral weeks," or "veedon fleece," for the classic stuff). the only tune here that's close to outstanding is "gypsy in my soul," which is very, very strong. lots of the rest has an almost cheesy las vegas feel to it. and hey, nothing wrong with that; i find it enjoyable, myself. it's just not great. it doesn't even try for great. it is what it is: an easy to listen to piece of entertainment. fine by me.

5 out of 5 stars A lot to like.......2007-02-10

I'm not really familiar with the career of Van Morrison or many of his recordings, but I was completely taken with this terrific collection of songs. Morrison has a smokey, bluesly delivery here that is tremendously appealing. My favorite tracks are "Stranded," and "Greta Garbo," but there aren't any losers on the whole CD. Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars An eclectic mix of soul, jazz and blues.......2007-01-13

Van Morrison never fails to put across an intimate feel with his music. It seems to place you in a smoke filled juke joint somewhere in middle america, or in an upscale jazz club in some big city the moment you listen to it. His distinctive vocals always deliver the heart of the piece he is performing. This collection is exceptionally good, not one track you will likely skip during playtime. Well done...

Marty Robbins has more greatest-hits compilations than most artists have hits. This 20-cut single-disc collection is one of the better values, with a representative selection that extends from gunfighter balladry such as "El Paso" (his 1959 chart-topper and biggest crossover success) and "Big Iron" to the calypso-tinged "Devil Woman" to his cover of Gordon Lightfoot's folkish "Ribbon of Darkness." Throughout his 30-year recording career, Robbins combined a tremulous tenor with canny commercial instincts, stretching the boundaries of country music while expanding his popular base. He was equally at home with a cowboy song ("Red River Valley"), a gospel tune ("You Gave Me a Mountain"), and a slice of Hawaiian exotica ("Aloha Oe"). Inexplicably, the album features the schmaltzy "Love Is Blue" at the expense of "A White Sport Coat (And a Pink Carnation)," a '50s pop smash that remained one of his biggest hits. --Don McLeese

I have a couple Marty Robbins CDs. This one is my favorite. Really enjoy the collection of songs. Would recommend this CD without hesitation.

3 out of 5 stars Maraty Robbins Greatest Hits.......2007-01-10

Received it timely...good stuff...but not what I was looking for for his greatest hits. I still enjoyed it.

5 out of 5 stars Great Gift.......2007-01-09

I bought this as a gift for my parents and they love it.

5 out of 5 stars Reincarnated Cowboy.......2006-03-20

Marty Robbins believed he was a reincarnated cowboy. Many of his songs came from dreams. All 20 of these wonderful songs take you to another place and time and tell delicious stories of love and adventure. Wonderful places to go - especially if you're a true Marty Robbins fan.

4 out of 5 stars Mixed Emotions.......2004-11-30

You can take any given number of Marty Robbins songs and call them his greatest hits as the man had talent and versatility to spare. Certainly most of the songs on this package are exceptional but there are so many left out. "A White Sport Coat (And a Pink Carnation)", perhaps his greatest crossover hit is missing in favor of Hank Williams, Sr.'s "Kaw-Liga" (done to death) and the so-so "Maria (If I Could"). And the hit doesn't even appear on the follow-up album of "more greatest hits". What were they thinking? Early hits "I Couldn't Keep From Crying" and "The Story of My Life" are not here. And on it goes. You will probably enjoy most or all of the songs herein but if you can find it, it's better to go for "The Essential Marty Robbins 1951-1982" that covers some hokey early recordings before he hit his stride plus the ones named, other certified HITS and songs that were only mild hits or not hits at all but are a lot more rewarding to listen to than the less-than-blockbuster filler found here. Shop around before you buy.

Often overlooked as it comes between Young's career-defining 1977 three-LP set Decade and the decade-ending Rust Never Sleeps, Comes a Time is a gentle album that includes some of Young's most soft-spoken material. "Lotta Love" became a hit for Nicolette Larson, who adds harmonies throughout the album, and tracks such as "Look Out for My Love" and "Human Highway" are indicative of Young's divergent styles. With four producer credits, six studio listings, an orchestra, and Crazy Horse all on the same album, Comes a Time is an interesting pastiche of all the things that make Young tick. Lacking his usual conceptual thrust, you'll just have to settle for some great songs. --Rob O'Connor

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars My Second Favorite Neil Young Album.......2007-07-06

Neil is amazing in how he succeeded in bands (Buffalo Springfield, CSNY) and as a solo act. Then, he can succeed as an electric rocker or a gentle acoustic folkie.

I like so much of his work, but Everybody Knows This is Nowhere remains my favorite. Close on its heels, though, is Comes A Time. Brilliant and thoughtful songs that establish a mood and a place, except for the odd "Motorcycle Mama" which is best omitted.

4 out of 5 stars strong neil young release........2007-02-10

this is a somewhat neglected album from neil young that is among his strongest overall sets. except for the rocking "motorcycle mama," this is a gentle cycle of songs, laid-back and pleasing in its entirety. if you are a neil young fan and don't yet have this, get it quick. if you have no neil young cds (really?) this is a fine place to start digging his quieter side.

4 out of 5 stars There Comes A Time Neil will change again when you least expect it.......2007-01-30

Good album. Plays like Harvest Part 2, but more polished. Contains a few leftover Crazy Horse tracks that sound out of place here.

5 out of 5 stars Polished Young.......2006-11-22

Comes a Time is arguably Young's most polished and commercially astute album. It combines the dark, anarchic artistry that sets him apart from his talented colleagues Crosby, Stills, and Nash with the songcraft and production skills they possess, skills that Young shares, but which he only chooses to demonstrate on occasion. An example of this combination from the album is "Look Out for My Love," one of Young's finest compositions. Comes a Time appears almost effortless, but its value is highlighted when set beside his later "follow-ups" to Harvest, Old Ways and Harvest Moon, which, apart from significantly weaker songs and lyrics, appear forced in comparison.

5 out of 5 stars It's a Classic .......2006-08-31

You can't go wrong with this classic Neil. Not to mention the very reasonable price for a cassette which works in my 1997 vehicle!

More than any children's music release this year, Justin Roberts's Way Out makes you want to buy multiple copies and pass them out to friends--if only to prove that children's music can be unaccountably great. Justin's gift for transplanting himself into the psyche of an 8-year-old lifts him head and shoulders above his goofy-voiced peers. However, simply pinning Justin's talent on songwriting alone sells him short--few others (Dan Zanes, Ralph Covert and They Might Be Giants are exceptions) rock their records as hard. Way Out draws us way in, expertly mowing down musical age barriers and delivering us from the mistaken idea that kidstuff doesn't count. -Tammy La Gorce

5 out of 5 stars Loved this!.......2007-01-09

Every time my son asks me to purchase a "new" Justin Roberts CD I find that it;s better than the last we bought! His music is not just for children, but the whole family.

5 out of 5 stars Way Out CD by Justin Roberts.......2007-01-05

I was fortunate to walk past the librarian's desk and discovered a new CD of his. I LOVED it sooo much i had to buy his others immediately. I am so tired of the typical kids songs we have always heard. He is a humorous, talented lyricist sounding similiar to my favorites - Squeeze and the Cure. I was not disappointed - i can't wait for his next CD.

5 out of 5 stars Wow! The best yet!.......2006-04-25

20 minutes after dropping my kids off at school, I'll realize that I'm still listening to Justin Roberts by myself. Truly great 'kids' music' that adults can enjoy, too.

The beat and brass on this one will get you moving.

Love it!!

5 out of 5 stars Rescued from the Wiggles.......2006-03-16

We discovered Justin Roberts music on XM Kids radio one day, and my entire family was hooked. His lyrics are clever and surprising - and has brought my three kids (ages 5, 3, and 1) to both giggles and quiet thoughts while listening. We dance to "Airplane of Food" and "Daycamp" almost daily, and we LOVE the "Humpty Dumpty" song - it's inspired a game where the kids dream up crazy things that Humpty can see while up on the wall.

We're anxiously awaiting his new "Meltdown" CD release on March 21st, and are proud to own all of his albums. We each have our favorite songs - and the kids (and I) fight over which one to listen to next. We've graduated from the Wiggles, and are never EVER looking back!

5 out of 5 stars Great for kids and parents!.......2006-01-15

This is an upbeat, comical CD with great music for kids and parents. Parents, you'll find yourself listening to this music even when the kids aren't around! This will become your favorite kid music to play, I promise!
