Gotta have this CD.. I bought it on a whim and love ever single track on this thing. The best money spent I ever spent on a CD. My disk was enhanced with extra features including a video that I played on my computer. It was a lot of fun with a interview and all. I promise you won't be sorry if your a country fan.

I'm a huge Chris Cagle fan and this CD is full of great songs. I really love his four hit songs on the CD "My Love Goes On and On", "Laredo", "Country By the Grace of God" and "I Breath In, Breathe Out". I really love the song "The Love Between A Woman And A Man"! The song has a great rhythm to it. The whole CD is awesome!!! I'm going to buy his other two CDs soon. I love his voice and I would love to see him in concert. Play It Loud is a CD I listen a lot and the title track his a terrific beat to it and I always crank it up when I play the song Play It Loud. A terrific CD and a wonderful voice!!! Keep up the fabulous work, Chris!!!

Prior to reading the first review, I was thinking about his voice and who to compare it to. I love the early style of Garth Brooks and the sounds of Tim McGraw. He EASILY fits in with this group of performers. I agree with the previous reviewer, Chris Cagle is destined to be a household name!

Chris Cagle will be around for a long time to come. His debut Cd was awesome. There are so many songs on there that hit home and are just hard to pick just one favorite song. When the title says Play it Loud...Play it Louder.

Amazing, not only does Chris Cagle have a wonderful country voice and amazing songs to sing, but he wrote the majority of his songs; it is tough to come by singer-songwriters anymore.

I can listen to this CD over and over and never get tired of it! His upbeat tunes and the amazing quality of instrument players make this CD fun to listen to and even sing along with.

Chris Cagle sets this honesty about his music, after attending a small, local concert of his I learned about what made him decide to write a song and to produce it; all of the songs he wrote come from real life experiences that not only he can relate to! This brings an even wider acceptance to his tunes, people can connect with them.

Chris Cagle did great on this record and I cannot wait untill he comes out with another!

I love this CD! It's full of great songs. I like the two hit songs on the CD, "What A Beautiful Day" and "Chicks Dig It"! The whole CD is great!I love every single song! The songs "I'd Be Lying" and "Everything" are great songs and they have very upbeat tempos to them. A lot of good songs on this CD. I would love to meet Chris Cagle in person, I'm huge fan! An excellent sopohomore ablum from Chris Cagle!I'm going to get his latest ablum eventually. This CD is a must have for country fans!

For those of you country fans that don't have it, BUY IT! It is really awsume ablum!Country music is great! Keep up the fabulous work, Chris!

I absolutely LOVE this CD.....
This is the best CD I have bought in a long time.....Cagle is strong as an artist/vocalist, whether singing a country rocker or ballad. I have always liked his music, but this one tops all priors! I read that more copies have sold of this album than either of his previous....so the majority of country music fans must agree with me. It's official - call me caglehead!

This CD was great to listen to. :) Because I received it for Christmas, I did not know that I was going to get it but I am glad that I did. When I heard "What A Beautiful Day," I fell in love with the song, and wanted to buy the CD, and I guess my friends over heard me talking about it. "Chicks Dig It" is another great song on this CD, it made me laugh when I heard it. Bottom line is, if you like country music and you are a Caglehead (or even if you aren't), get this CD. You will NOT be disappointed!

Yes....it was a beautiful day when I popped this cd in my player. What a voice!!!! What a passion!!!! What a great talent!!!! Chris definitely didn't let us Cagleheads down. Chris uses personal experience as well as his humor to give us a cd that is full of life and love. Never have I seen or heard someone that puts so much of himself into his music.

From the beginning, I knew What A Beautiful Day would be a popular hit on my weekly country college radio show. This song along with Chicks Dig It and Everthing were within the Top 20 most requested country track at the station in Feb 2004. This album says one thing PERFECT. This is a very well done album! Not a Caglehead yet, listen and you will be!

Chris Cagle's third album, Anywhere But Here, is a collection that crystallizes the promise of the first two and takes him another big step forward. OK, let's get down to it. I loved this album. I liked every song and I normally would have given it a four or five stars.

The tragedy is the copy protection. The CD has it's own software built in to copy the music onto your hard drive or make a CD copy. Even following the software's instructions (that pop up when you put the CD in your computer), the software successfully copied the songs onto my hard drive--but flaked out completely on the last step when it went out to secure the "license". This left the music completely unlistenable.

I use copying for three purposes other than playing the CD itself. 1.) Make my own complication CD's for long drives. 2.) Play on my IPOD. and 3.) Have my computer shuffle play my large collection of favorite songs through the speakers for hours of enjoyment. Music industry folk can say that it is not their responsibility to see to it that I can do these things. I disagree and object to the whittling away of "fair use". Not being able to do these things reduces a CD's value at least by half.

True, issues about the copy protection say nothing about the music itself--but it says volumes about the PURCHASE. A car can have the most advanced engine under the hood but if the rest of the design is lousy it spoils the package.

The artist needs to know that if his record company does anything to make his fans unhappy they are unhappy with him as well. He needs to raise holy hell with the bosses and if they will not change then he needs to go somewhere else. Sure, easier said than done. But, if a significant part of the buying public will no longer buy his CD's, untimately it's his problem not ours.

This was my first experience with this type of protection. Horrible! I personally will never buy another CD with this type of protection and I will be leary of this artist's CDS because of this awful experience. Sorry, but if the artist supports this type of protection, then they need to live with the repercussions.

This CD is ok regarding country music but the "Copy protection" issue drove me crazy. That without mentioning neither my CD player or my computer at home (Linux system) play this CD. In this case, Chris Cagle and all singers out there should pay more attention to what "the music industry" tried to do. I can tell you I will NOT buy any more CDs if this means having that "protection" installed.... by the way, who is getting protected with this? Certainly not me!

All in all, I enjoyed the CD as far as the vocals and songs but the content protection is terrible. I could not get it to save onto my computer and play. When I tried it ended up crashing the whole system, and when you play it back it sounds grabled and scratchy. They say this helps protect the software but I was just downloading it to my computer for the first time and it still did not work. Be wary of these content protection unless you just want to listen to the CD in your car or stero, otherwise they are useless. I am extremely disappointed by not being able to copy the CD to my computer.

This album is great! The ballads are worth the price alone. The song "You Might want to think about it" and "Hey Ya'll" are just plain fun. Cagle does a supurb job with Bon Jovi's "Wanted". I love Bon Jovi too but I like Cagles version better. Bon Jovi himself has praised Cagle for it.
It's a fun album to listen to and Cagles vocals are at their best yet. He has learned how to use his vocals even better (if thats possible) during his forced rest.

The first time I saw Chris Cagle was in concert at a festival, and I didn't even know who he was. Have you ever heard a song that you cannot forget, and you are so glad when it finally comes out? That's what happened with "Country by the Grace of God". It's got an awesome funky rhythm, such great lyrics -- and they're so true! I never forgot that performance until his CD finally came out many months later.

Like everyone's said here, don't miss the chance to see him live. His expressive singing is far better than the bubblegum technical "perfection" that's all so annoying and boring these days, and he has a live energy that just crackles! He's one of those people that, when onstage, his command of the live atmosphere makes him seem 10 feet tall. He also has an awesome band! One thing about the CD, the perfectly boring "session musicians" don't hold a candle to Chris' real band, especially in "My Love Goes On and On" or any rocking number. But that's typical Nashville for you. Anyway, it's not a complaint, just a mild difference.

His ballads are just as powerful, but my favorite, "What a Beautiful Day", is on a later CD. This is a great CD, and almost does justice to what Chris actually does as a performer. He's the real deal, not the Nashville flavor-of-the-month.

On and On got me hooked on Chris Cagle, now I'm hooked on Laredo! It's the greatest country song I've ever heard! Plus, as a teenager, I feel that he is one of the sexiest older men in the world! He sings with such compassion and emotion-who couldn't love him!

Chris Cagle had been knocking around Nashville as a songwriter for awhile before making the leap to performer. I am glad he leapt! His writing abilities are second to none and his delivery is phenomenal, wrap that up in a HOT package and you have Chris Cagle (I wouldn't mind "playing loud" with him if you know what I mean!).

After hearing "My Love Goes on and on" on the radio, I picked up this CD and was struck by its versatility. When I sing along with "My Love Goes on and on", I always find myself adding a couple of extra "and on"s, it is such a catchy tune I end up singing it every time. Then there is the country-boy anthem "Country by the Grace of God", the upbeat title track and the straight-up rockin' (and, therefore, appropriately titled) "Rock the Boat". There is really not a ballad per se, but "Laredo" (my personal fave track) is dripping with raw emotion and definite #1 material. Other stand-out songs include "Who Needs the Whiskey" and "Love Between a Woman and a Man".

I highly recommend this CD and, if you get a chance, seeing Chris perform live, he does not disappoint!

I bought this cd a few days before seeing him live at Billy Bob's Texas and loved it from the first play. He's even better in person. I'm most impressed that he writes his own music. He has the energy and emotion of a Tim McGraw of early days.

Definitely buy this cd, but don't miss a chance to see him live!
