Dion has released a lot of music in the last four years, which in lesser talents could generate a "got the last one, don't need this" yawn from the public. Every conceivable base is covered here--"Tell Me" is the iconic pop adult smash, "Treat Her Like a Lady" has sewn up Contemporary Hits Radio, and there are a half-dozen others to keep the party going till 1999. The inclusion of the theme song to Titanic ("My Heart Will Go On") proves that nothing is likely to scuttle the unsinkable Ms. Dion. --Jeff Bateman

Customer Reviews:
"titanic".......2006-07-05
This one is worth the price just for the theme from "Titanic" .Who can resist that tearjerker? And who better than Celine to deliver it? Oh by the way, the rest of the album is great also
It Draws You In.......2006-06-02
Celine Dion's LET'S TALK ABOUT LOVE album has become my favorite music of all time. I originally bought the album for its famous theme song from Titanic "My Heart Will Go On," but the more I listened to the CD, the more I found myself always skipping over that song to get to the best song on the album, "To Love You More." This song grabs your attention with its instrumental opening that carries throughout the remainder of the song and exhibits Dion at more than her best. Celine Dion uses her talented voice to stun, mystify and move you throughout the entire album.
And let's not forget the duets with Barbara Streisand and Luciano Pavarotti. "Tell Him" left me speechless when I first heard it. The voices of Streisand and Dion in this timeless love song pull you into the theme, as almost everyone has wanted to tell someone that they love them, but is hesitant for whatever reason. With a famous voice like Pavarotti, Dion definitely added even more greatness to this wonderful, love filled album with their duet "I Hate You Then I Love You."
#3 on the album, "Treat her like a Lady" adds upbeat and kick to give the album a variety of rhythm and sound. The entire CD of LET'S TALK ABOUT LOVE reminds people of how important love is and how wonderful love can be. It also shows off the unbeatable talent of Celine Dion who actually knows how to sing without shouting, which has become the fad of the day.
Awesome.......2006-05-30
I have gone through three copies of this CD. Yeah, it's that good. If you like Celine Dion, this is her at her best!!! If you are thinking about it you should definantly buy!
not as good as Falling, but still great.......2006-04-05
a lot of people seem to snub their noses at Let's Talk About Love because it wasn't the career-defining album as the album that preceded it, but all in all, it's still a fantastic snapshot for Celine's career in 1997.
Celine shocked almost everyone by releasing a follow-up so shortly (Falling Into You was still in the top 40 on the charts at the time) but it was very worthy.
Among my faves on the album include "The Reason", "Immortality" with The Bee Gees (for a "Celine-less" version of the song, check out The Bee Gees' 2-disc hits collection from 2001), "Love Is On The Way", the very funky "Treat Her Like A Lady", "To Love You More" and the beautiful singalong title track. This album also housed "My Heart Will Go On" which certainly helped push this album to sales over 9 million. While it was a song that you wanted to smash the stereo at the time because it was being played every five minutes, I'd say enough time has passed that once again you can enjoy and appreciate this beautiful, powerful ballad.
With "Falling Into You" and this album, Celine was the #1 female artist for a period, becoming a superstar right as Mariah was abandoning AC for r&b, as Alanis was going on hiatus for awhile, and when Shania was taking off but hadn't yet exploded into major-superstardom. Love her or malign her (it seems fashionable to do the latter), she became one of the premier voices in Adult Contemporary and won over a large audience. I haven't been a fan at all of her last few albums, but if she ever comes back with an album like these two, I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat.
Her last really good album!.......2006-01-23
Celine Dion is of the best singers in Europe and around the world but after her "comeback" nothing reminds of her good true self. Her new albums are belted-out (almost "shouting"); the songs are totally uninspiring and she seems to have become another product of the American music industry. Therefore, no surprise that she has no huge success in countries she used to (and when I mean success I talk with the standards she had put with albums like "Falling into you", "D'eux" etc). This is her last good CD that you can find some nice ballads and interpretations as well as interesting collaborations with Streisand, Bee Gees , Pavarotti and others. Few of the songs are not a big deal but are saved by Dion's glorious interpretations. If you like her voice try this album and anything before that. After the year 2000 you will be really dissapointed..

Album Description
Holiday blues comin' on? Well, put a spike in `em! Here's the zaniest, wildest and just plain sickest Collectors' Choice Music exclusive yet79 tracks from Spike Jones and his City Slickers! These represent Spike's complete Standard Transcription sides, but these tunes are anything but standard; Mr. Jones brought his full bag of tricks for these non-commercial recordings (made in Hollywood during the early `40s). Add to that the fact that most of these have never been on CD or even LP, and any lover of Spike's mayhem-filled mixture of laughs and hot licks is going to flip over this set! Notes and great pictures accompany this 3-CD walk on the wacky side from the greatest novelty band of all time.

Great set of wartime rarities.......2003-05-14
Spike Jones was the king of the novelty song performers, with hits like "Der Fuehrer's Face" and the parody version of "Sheik of Araby" becoming huge hits during World War II. This is a swell 3-CD set, gathering a full eighty-one of Jones' best tracks from his 1940s heyday, drawn from an extensive archive of radio broadcasts made for the Standard Transcription service. The tightness of his City Slickers band is amply demonstrated in these manic, kookily orchestrated performances. Toots, squonks, blatts and bleats whiz by at lightning speed, as one daffy song after another will delight devoted fans. Amazingly, Jones had the unusual, almost unique ability to perform a repertoire almost entirely made up of comedic material, and yet still be quite listenable and engaging. His jazz chops were hardly in question, and from time to time Jones would dash off a non-novelty ballad or two, just to give the rubes something to think about. Of course, just as often he would perform a song that *sounded* like a straight ballad, but would turn out to be another goof. (One great example of this is the sultry "Serenade To A Jerk," sung in slinky, burlesque tones by Myrtle Horwin.) This collection may seem a little overwhelming, but like his studio recordings, these radio performances have a certain brilliance and joie de vivre about them that will leave you enchanted. Definitely worth checking out!

Standard Transcription Collection.......2003-04-12
This collection has remastered material from the large stack of Standard Transcription discs from the early 1940's. There are many songs not recorded on RCA, many on the theme of wartime ("48 Reasons Why"), and the quality is excellent. The packaging is threadbare but this is an essential CD package for true music lovers.

Customer Reviews:
a little funky but still cool!!!.......2003-12-06
Joannie Sommers possesses a bell like voice with clarity, and this little mama knows how to swing!!! And she swings hard! she would have made a great big band singer, however this was the 60's when this was originally out on lp, and Sommers was a mere teenager, who fully inderstands the meanign of each song and lyric. A great cd, she sounds enthusiastic and she's a cutie too! Some of teh arrangements can't help but sound like the early 60's, though in general they swing, and are very jazz, but in spots are slightly loungy and dated, however that doesn't detract this from being the best lp, by any new jazz singer from the 60's(with the acception of Sheial Jordan, portrait of...). Buy it, you'l llike it if you like creativity and slight improviation in your singers, and her vocie is so appealing and sweet'n'swingin'!!!
My favorite of all of Joanie's albums!!.......2002-05-08
I'm happy that this album (released in 1962) finally made it to CD (I own the LP version)...this is one of my personal favorites among Joanie's albums, thanks in large part to Tommy Oliver's swinging big band charts!
What a find!!!.......2002-04-17
Being familiar with Joanie for only "Johnny Get Angry", I was thrilled to find this CD full of big band swinging arrangements. It's a mixed bag; some of the tracks I skip, but the versions of "Till There Was You" and "After the Lights Go Down Low" are stunning and worth buying the entire CD. I pray that Collectables will reissue some of Joanie's other LP's, especially "Softly, the Brazilian Sound", and "Sommers' Seasons"

Customer Reviews:
80's German disco/Pop/synth, Very Romantic.......2004-07-06
It was 1985, second album by MT, and Dieter Bohlen's house was still filled with Euro-Disco Romance... Simple yet Romantic lyrics and Romantic Synth melodies that hit very close to the heart (isn't that where it matters the most?).
Although it's my opinion that the high-pitched (BeeGees-like) choruses could have been used less. They get annoying after some time, and are a bit overused by Dieter, not just on this album, but on many others that followed.
Otherwise this album is perfect, with very touching and beautiful songs; lyrics are sometimes a bit corny (Warning!).....but still it's Great stuff. It's one hit followed by another, starting with the commercially successful single "Cheri Cheri Lady" to the last song on the album "Let's talk about Love".
Beautiful stuff here, beautiful. It's a big part of my musical experience.
Let us talk about love.......2004-02-23
"Let's Talk About Love"(1985) is their second album - not their best, but well-known.
It contains a few good songs -
04 You're The Lady Of My Heart (easy pop)
08 Why Did You Do It Just Tonight?
10 Let us Talk About Love (tender midtempo)
must have.......2003-12-18
This is an AWESOME cd! If you're hesitating, don't. Every song on this cd is catchy and you'll find that you won't be able to stop listening to it.
Letýs Talk About Modern Talking!.......2002-04-19
This album has my favourite song of modern Talking! `Cheri Cheri lady'! The third no.1 hit of MT.
This and the 5th and the 9th albums are the only three albums that I wouldn't give full 5starts. I like this album very much as it has for of the romance atmosphere than any other feeling. It is full of meaningful songs and none except `Cheri Cheri Lady' are singles. I give this album 4 stars out of five and I say it is worth the money if you are looking for a romantic evening with someone you love. All the songs are slow and are very harmonious especially `Heaven will know', `Lady Of My Heart' and `Wild Wild water' are to be listened to when relaxing.

Remixes and then some of Brandy's new track........2004-08-06
This cd single comes with 10 remixes---8 vocal mixes and 2 dubs and run the spectrum from hip hop to trance to aggressive house to a little bit of old school house. This is the latest single from Brandy and was produced and features Kanye West on rap. Shock to see that it barely cracked the Pop top 40 (36) and came in the top 20 r&b. But she is doing quite well on the dance charts--debuting at number 2 on the sales charts and still climbing the club charts. I really like all the mixes and although sometimes the vocals are a bit fast (pitch control!!!!) for what the original version is .
Tracks:
1- Extended Mix (4:57)- features the FULL Kanye West rap.
2- One Rascal Mix (6:01)- a bit of a slower r&b mix from Albert Cabrera from The Latin Rascals.
3- Bill Hamel Club Mix (7:13)- a slower trance house mix. Okay but not the greatest mix here.
4- E-Smoove Classic Club Mix (7:14)- beautiful bass driven house mix that is what Eric "E-Smoove" Miller does best. Very aggressive.
5- Ford Trance Mix (7:40)- features a typical trance keyboard loop that really is the loop for "Yeah" by Usher.Listen!
6- Alan Smithee In Blueblackness Mix (9:59)- a bass and acoustic guitar driven Ibiza Masters At Work kind of mix.
7- TKC Club Mix (7:59)- the big room mix . My personal favorite.
8- Ford House Mix (6:39)- a older sounding house mix that has drum rolls straight out of Technotronic's best songs. Very Nice.
9- Bill Hamell Clubbed Up Dub Mix(8:58)
10- Thick Dick Dub Mix (8:04)- E-Smoove 's drum driven tribal and much faster dub mix.
A great collection of remixes. A bit bit too many mixes but at least Atlantic is putting this cd single out which is a plus !
GREAT MAXI-SINGLE!!!.......2004-07-30
Atlantic did a very good job with the first single of the latest Brandy album. The "Talk About Our Love" single comes with 10 (!) versions of the song - from house to trance, with the hottest remixers from atuallity. All record labels should release maxi-singles like that! The tracks are:
1. EXTENDED MIX (4:57): a very cool R&B tune, i like it. But, in my oppinion, is not my favorite Brandy song... 4/5
2. ONE RASCAL MIX (6:00): is very simmilar to the original version. There's not much changes on it. 3/5
3. BILL HAMEL CLUB MIX (7:13): the best remix on the single, ladies and gentleman! This remix has many latin elements, guitar chords, is very "sexy"!. 5/5
4. E-SMOOVE CLASSIC CLUB MIX (7:14): a classic house mix, with piano lines, etc. Is not a very impressive mix. Sounds like you already hearded this before. 4/5
5. FORD TRANCE MIX (7:39): a very un-usual remix. But for a trance mix, the BPM are too low, around 130 BPM, will sounds better with 140/150 BPM... but is a very nice mix! 5/5
6. ALAN SMITHEE IN BLACKBLUENESS MIX (9:59): another house mix. This is more funky. With many vocal efx. 4/5
7. THAT KID CHRIS CLUB MIX (7:59): A very dark house mix, with a dramatic bass and abrassive sinth lines! well done! One of the best on the single. 5/5
8. FORD HOUSE MIX (6:38): this mix have many breaks, a very acid mix, but the Ford Trance Mix is better! 4/5
9. BILL HAMEL CLUBBED UP DUB MIX (8:58): this version is pretty boring, the club mix sounds so much better, is very hard to find a dub mix completly different from the club mix. But this dub, doesn't help so much... 3/5
