Amazon.com essential recording
The great irony of John Barry's Academy Award-winning score for Out of Africa (which also took the Oscar as Best Picture) is that it almost never was; director Sydney Pollack had originally envisioned the film with native African music, going as far as laying the indigenous score down as he was editing. But the weight of John Barry's arguments--not to mention his considerable track record and composing gifts--held sway, and the composer delivered on his intent: a lush, romantic masterpiece for the ages. --Jerry McCulley
Customer Reviews:
Simply beautiful.......2007-01-11
Out of Africa is a CD with beautiful music. When I listen to it, I imagine myself in the nature of Africa. You will enjoy it!
CD has missing track.......2006-12-03
John Barry's compositions are pleasantly sweeping. There's nothing wrong with this album, just not really enough to recommend it.
I was puzzled to learn that some time between my buying the LP record and the issuing of this CD, the track "The Music of Goodbye (love theme from Out of Africa)" was omitted. It's not that this song, sung by Melissa Manchester, is a must-have; it's more that it's sneaky to leave off tracks when you reissue a soundtrack in another format.
Disappointed.......2006-11-10
I absolutely love the music from Out of Africa, but I do not recommend this CD at all. The sound quality is so poor that I could only bear listening to it once.
Worth Buying!.......2006-11-06
Highly recommended for those who love instrumental music. A lot of beautiful flute, strings and some piano and harp. Very contemplative and hauntingly beautiful music.
Great Album.......2006-11-04
For me, one of the best music of last decade. Romantic, full of sense. Please give a listen at least

Contemporary Afro-Cuban and Latin dance music flavors the soundtrack to Dance with Me, a movie about (what else?) dancing. Costars Vanessa Williams and Chayanne duet on "You Are Home" both in its Spanish salsa version and its more straightforward R&B incarnation. The upbeat numbers swing: Electra's "Jibaro" gets a lively remix treatment from Paul Oakenfold, Black Machine provide the funky "Jazz Machine," and Elvis Crespo's "Suavemente" will have the dance floor sweating. Overall, with the exception of slow-dance numbers "Want You, Miss You, Love You" from Jon Secada and the aforementioned "You Are Home," Dance with Me is a predictable but fun mix. --Jason Verlinde
Customer Reviews:
surprisingly good.......2007-06-08
From a dancer's perspective, the music is fantastic. It is emotional, stirring and passionate. For a little known film, its an amazing soundtrack.
Dance With Me: Music from the Motion Picture.......2007-03-11
I loved the music in the motion picture. Upon receiving and listening to the soundtrack, it was wonderful to hear the full versions of the songs.

What more can I see. Listen to the preview online and you will hear all of these really popiular songs that you have been wondering where you can find them. If you like various forms of dancing, including Samba, then this is a good one to add to your collection.
awesome soundtrack---a great cross-section of dance songs..........2005-11-02
I bought this CD, almost immediately after I saw "Dance With Me," in the theaters, back in 1998. Though, the film left me cold, the songs continued to sizzle in my memory, and resonated with my steps on the dance floor.
Some of the best songs on this album include: "Magalenha," a great Sergio Mendes tune that was utilized in the dance competition sequence in the film. It is a lively samba, and gets you up on your feet and moving. "Atrevete (No Puedes Conmigo)" by Dark Latin Groove is an awesome, sizzling salsa, combining the fiery vocals of Huey Dunbar, with the salsa/reggae elements of Fragancia and James "Da Barba." What a shame that those guys broke up........Overall, this CD combines soft ballads with up-tempo dance numbers. It's great background music for a party.
The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of the luke warm bonus cuts ("Suavemente" remix with Elvis Crespo--which sounds too repetitive and "Pantera en Libertad" by Monica Naranjo, which just sounds like she is screaming--no real melody).
You definitely need to get this album, as well, because it is just too flavorful to resist!
Love It!.......2005-10-15
I didn't buy it on Amazon but I do have this CD. I absolutely love it. This is the movie / CD that got me started on Salsa. I tried learning moves from the movie. Didn't work out so well but I got a Salsa dancing instructional DVD from Salsa Crazy (which is sold on Amazon too) and am on my way!

David Duchovny and Minnie Driver star in Bonnie Hunt's romantic comedy Return to Me, named after the Dean Martin standard that leads off this soundtrack. According to the liner notes, Hunt assembled these songs to reflect nostalgia for her own childhood, and, aside from the incongruous addition of
Smokey Robinson and the Miracles' "I Second That Emotion," it's all orchestrated pop that recalls a far-removed age before rock 'n' roll. Several tunes were composed and orchestrated by the movie's music director, Nicholas Pike, who, with the help of singer Joey Gian, nearly re-creates the past. However, it's the campy good time of the Jackie Gleason Orchestra and Dean Martin himself ("Good Mornin', Life" serves as a parody of Up with People, while "Buona Sera" is prime Martin) that best reflects this ersatz-glitzy era. --Rob O'Connor

Return to Me.......2007-06-13
This CD brings back a lot of memories of growing up listening to Dean Martin and othe crooners and the big bands. Very nostalgic.
Fun Music.......2007-01-16
This is a really great soundtrack to listen to and sing along to at home or in the car. I really enjoy all of the different songs and artists. The movie is sweet, too.
Most excellent music to relax to.......2006-11-06
I bought this sound track after watching the movie. I had it in my possession for all of 1 day. Everyone is borrowing it. Where is it now? I guess I'll have to buy another. That will be three now!
Good music but not as good as expected.......2006-08-19
I loved this movie and the music was a big part of it - Frank Sinatra and others. Unfortunately the CD didn't have all of the songs I was hoping for - no Sinatra at all. Still a fun CD, but not quite what I was expecting.
Picture Soundtrack 'Return to Me'.......2006-02-19
Hi, Loved the movie soundtrack of 'Return to Me,' as well as being a musical, it had it's funny bits, as well as serious pieces. A romantic at heart, I found this a beautiful love story as well.
Thanks,
Dianne

Selection of Songs?.......2006-07-02
Perlman is a man of extraordinary clarity and tonality also one of my favorite violinists. After I finish practicing a piece I usually find a recording to listen to different interpretations. Most of them are by Perlman and Heifetz. Unfortunately this album has some obscure songs and the songs itself do not do justice to Perlman what some other songs may have done. Still it is important to broaden the scope, so I would recommend this to all music connoisseurs :). btw i'm only 16 so...don't take this review too literal huh?
If you are a violin lover, buy it.......2003-01-19
It's beautiful. Simply put.
This is "THE" Greatest Hits alum by Perlman.......2000-12-03
Perlam is already a great player like the whole world knows. But the music selection couldn't better! I espacily like the piano accomplimant. Perlman pays the pieces with true style. The working realtionship between Perlman and the Pianist is truly incredible. Before geting any of Perlman's other greatest hits albums, get this one!
This is a relaxing, however, somewhat disjointed collection........1998-11-12
This collection of familiar tunes will provide a relaxing hour with one of the world's premier violinists. However, the combination of "The Old Folks at Home" and "Motto perpetuo" is somewhat difficult to assimilate. At any rate, Perlman is a listener's joy!

This is one of those soundtracks that may have worked better during the vinyl era. Most of the tunes here (each and every one a '50s rock classic) are likely already in the CD collections of fans of this kind of music. That's probably the case with Buddy Holly, Ben E. King, the Del Vikings (two cuts here), the Coasters, Jerry Lee Lewis, and perhaps Shirley & Lee. It's probably not true of the Chordettes' "Lollipop," but that tune is used to such great effect in this terrific flick that you may just want to watch the video again. You can't go wrong with 10 feel-good classics. --Bill Holdship
Customer Reviews:
Great Songs.......2006-09-28
I listened to this soundtrack in a friend's car a couple times on a trip. The music was great! I can't wait until I buy myself the CD.
Let The Good Times Roll!.......2006-06-22
This soundtrack is easily one of the most timeless you will ever hear. From the Chordettes and "Lollipop" to Shirley and Lee "Let The Good Times Roll". This music takes you back to those warm summer nights, whether you are 12 or 62. Stand By Me is a true coming of age story, and these songs will remind you of that magical time in your life. Don't pass this one up!
Great starter set for a future rock n' roller.......2005-09-28
I loved that movie Stand By Me when I was a kid, as I was the same age as the boys in this movie and felt like I too was going on sort of a "spiritual journey" with them in the course of the movie. Years later seeing it, well, it's not the same. I've lost my innocence since then and it doesn't have the same magic it used to. The soundtrack, however, will always live in my heart.
I had never heard of any of the artists, let alone the songs, which this wonderful soundtrack included. I began to explore a world out there that I didn't know existed, the world of the past and who all these great rock n' rollers were. This soundtrack, as well as The Lost Boys soundtrack, helped mold and shape me into who I am today. For this I will always be greatful.
If you love the jukebox...........2003-11-17
A dandy of a soundtrack filled with a set of 10 songs from the era of Cadillac's and corner malt shops. It surprised a lot of people who saw the movie and bought the soundtrack that Elvis, with his fun bop or sweet croonin' would be exempt from this beauty. The stars here more than make up for his absence. The maverick of early rock, Buddy Holly, makes an appearence with his sweet "Everyday". The Del Vikings get the snappy "Come Go With Me" goin', and then smile all around with "Whispering Bells". My cousin, brother and I can't get enough of The Chordettes and "Lollipop". You gotta admit that the disc does come to an end pretty quick, and 50's tunes are usually two minutes (plus) long. At least the plate is loaded with a small but yummy helping, including the classic "Stand By Me" and The Coasters' "Yakety Yak". Though it's time limit is nowhere near the best innocence era soundtrack of them all, "American Grafitti", it would be just as good if it somehow had the same running time.
As good as the movie.......2003-06-01
Since I say the stand by me soundtrack is as good as the movie you realize there's just a word that can define it: perfect. The songs aren't just good, they're so amazing that they're visible. The images from the movie go into your head as you listen to the music and bring back all the emotions you felt while watching it. The 50's tracks are very well chosen and fit the perfection of a timeless movie.

World's best trumpet player.......2007-05-12
The incredible Wynton Marsalis plays the classics of the brass solo genre.
If you want to hear some very delightful music played by a most impressive instrumentalist, get this album.
Listening to this will make you realize the mediocrity of most of today's popular music. They don't grow people like Jean-Baptiste Arban any more.
Credit Wynton Marsalis.......2007-01-25
This outstanding collection of turn-of-the-last-century cornet solos is a collector's item. Mr. Marsalis (and the ensemble) makes it all sound so easy and enjoyable. As an instrumental music teacher I find hearing these inspires many of my high school high brass players to work on them.
stylistically wrong.......2005-05-29
Having studied with an international authority on cornet playing I can con fidently say that Wynton's cornet playing is ok at best. More than anything hes tryying to sell CDs rather than capture the essence of Cornet playing, like most of wyntons playing its alot of flash but no substance. Great if your a trumpet head and you get off on empty virtuostic fluff.
Wynton, Wynton, Wynton........2005-01-01
There are times, when I'm listeing to Wynton, I get depressed like the flash of a 64th note played. His sounds is so pure and wonderful. He rocks. I don't mind realizing that there aren't many other trumpeteers out there like him.
I met him once actually. In Alice Tully Hall, after a holiday concert. He stood on the stage towering over my dad, brother and I. He called us "the frontline", after my dad telling him we play the trumpet, trombone, and clarinet. What a cool guy.
Good, but not the best.......2004-11-28
Marsalis is an excellent trumpet player, there is no question as to that. He is certainly not the best in the world, however. I prefer a better recording of Carnival of Venice and many other cornet solos by Gerard Schwarz. The spirit of such solos is lost when they are put to ensemble accompaniment, Schwarz interprets them far better in my opinion. Also, his technical mastery is at least equal to that of Wynton's, or was when he made the album. His sound is sweeter and more perfect to my ear. And this is not the only album in which you can hear dazzling technical pieces, either. Sergei Nakariakov, Rafael Mendez, and Allen Vizzutti are the most proficient players with recordings out there. Nakariakov and Mendez both do better readings of the Paganini, playing the entire song double-tonguing and circular breathing. The Mendez Flight of the Bumblebee has a much better sound and fits the piece more, too. The most amazing song I have ever heard is the Carnival of Venus, by Vizzutti. Listen to anything by Wynton and then this song, you will be absolutely amazed. The last variation of the Marsalis is Vizzutti's first, and they get harder from there. Simply put, this is a good recording and the most accessible, but there are better ones out there. I wouldn't buy this to hear cornet solos or amazing technical pieces, but for hearing other interpretations. I prefer Schwarz, Mendez, Vizzutti, and Nakariakov.

A vibrant tribute to MGM's legendary confluence of brains, talent, hard work, ambition--and dare we say it?--massive egos, Singin' in the Rain long ago took its rightful place among the first rank of the studio's dizzying catalog of film musicals. This double-disc, 46-track 50th-anniversary edition features all of the film's familiar songs, as well as numerous outtakes and extended versions, many culled directly from the film's original recording masters. Its second disc also chronicles the film's clever--if studio imposed--self-referential musical gambit of recycling a slate of Arthur Freed/Nacio Herb Brown songs from Metro's first decade by including 14 of the originals, including performances by Jeanette McDonald, Judy Garland, Mickey Rooney, and Freed himself. Featuring a dozen previously unreleased recordings and an illustrated booklet containing the insightful reminiscences of the film's original writers, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, it's the ultimate musical companion to one of cinema's magical, enduring masterpieces. --Jerry McCulley

the perfect movie.......2007-03-10
My old Gene did it: the perfect movie, the perfect american history, the perfect music. Some people think musicals are "B" movies. I say them: look about the dream, the performance, the music.
Who can say what is beatiful? Look at faces of Gene and Stan during the shooting on the set: whole concentration and attention for everything.
This is a unique moment in their story, and in the story of cinema.
Unforgettable.
I LOVE MY FAVORITE SONG, AND THANKS TO THIS CD I CAN LISTEN TO IT ALL DAY LONG!!.......2007-01-28
I love Singin' in the Rain. It was the movie that made me like musicals, not those simple, mellow movies like South Pacific and the Sound of Music, but REAL musicals, with people like Fred Astaire or Eleanor Powell tapping their hearts out, or great singers like Frances Langford or Dick Powell putting over a song like they mean it.The Singin' in the Rain 2disc special edition introduced me to my favorite movie, the Broadway Melody of 1936, the MOST AMAZING MOVIE EVER! So I was so glad when my parents got me the soundtrack to Singin' in the Rain, and besides the music of the 1951 versions of the Nacio Herb Brown/Arthur Freed, there are also the original versions of the songs in their original movies. I am so glad that Rhino put the duet of Robert Taylor and June Knight singing I've Got a Feelin' You're Foolin' on this CD set! It's my favorite song, and now I can listen to it! Hooray!! It's the best song EVER!! There's also vocals of Charles King singing the Broadway Melody, which is great! And many more, like Bing Crosby, Frances Langford, Jeanette MacDonald, and other great singers I can't think of right now. This CD set is great, the sound is nice and un-staticy (mostly), there are 30-plus songs, and the price is phenomenal. I love my favorite song, and now I can listen to it all day long!! Yay! :)
Wonderful Soundtrack to a Wonderful Movie.......2006-06-16
Yes, this is it--the first real musical I ever saw. Okay, I saw "Wizard of Oz" and "The Sound of Music", and I love both of those musicals dearly. I had even seen "My Fair Lady." I thought musicals were all like those. Until this one. I had never seen such dancing. And this CD causes me to relive the joy of the musical each time I listen to it. Complete with the tap sounds. I love that they included even the deleted songs. Now we just need a DVD that has all the deleted scenes in context. But the studio probably threw all those away. Oh well, our imaginations can take care of what is missing.
Great CD.......2006-03-20
This is a great CD of music for your family to listen to. Our family enjoys it very much.
musical memories.......2006-03-14
I enjoyed this CD very much, as I remember seeing the movie years ago. I grew up watching MGM musicals and this was one of the best. I loved all of the wonderful songs that came from this movie. Great sound on this CD.

Director Wolfgang Peterson took Homer's The Iliad, excerpted the epic Trojan Wars, ditched those troublesome Greek gods, and largely hung his film's fortunes on copious amount of CGI wizardry and Brad Pitt. Immersing himself in the sword 'n' sandal genre largely revived by Gladiator composer James Horner (whose work here replaced the original score of Gabriel Yared) faced some challenging musical choices: Employ the dark synthetic goth textures of Hans Zimmer, or evoke a more traditional, heroic orchestral tack? The veteran scorer's "3200 Years Ago" arguably goes Zimmer one better, its dissonance-laced textures and dark percussion evoking an ancient, frightening world. There are similar intrigues ("The Temple of Poseidon," "Hector's Death," "The Wooded Horse...") elsewhere, but whether because of the haste with which he composed the score or other filmmaking pressures, Horner also dispenses some cliched, orchestral heroism more worthy of Steve Reeves or Ah-nold. Aficionados often accuse the composer of repeating himself, and the repetitive brass arpeggios he uses as frequent punctuation here do seem straight from the playbook, not to mention Enemy at the Gates; at least he's thematically apropos. There's a closing nod to Jarre's Lawrence of Arabia lyricism, and then Josh Groban gets to burnish his career with a suitably melodramatic take on David Foster's bathetic, neo-exotica ballad Remember Me. -- Jerry McCulley

Music for a Certain Mood.......2007-07-05
First of all, I am just happy that this score sounds nothing like Horner's scores in the 90's, because Horner has a tendency to recycle himself when he creates a new musical score.------Taken on its own terms, this score goes into the 'rousing' category.-------If you need something to help you get up in the morning this is it.--------I own scores for all my different moods, and this one really does the job when you want something relatively simple with a lot of horns! Of course, having Josh Groban sing a rousing 'Remember Me' during the end credits does not hurt at all!-------Truly, if you are an eclectic music listener, you will be able to gladly fit this into your collection for a certain mood that wants a 'wake-up' call. 'Remember', this is James Horner afterall------no shoddy orchestration here!------------------ Still uncertain, wait for the 'used' price to drop another dollar or two. Yet, definitely put it on your future purchase list.----There are times when we all feel like some rousing 'epic like' music that does not beat around the bush!
Coming from an unbiased fan of the Yared soundtrack..........2007-01-30
NOTE: People often give four or even five stars to film scores that don't deserve it. By awarding this score three stars, I am not saying it is significantly lacking or intrinsically flawed. This is a worthy collection of music we're dealing with.
Horner's score for Troy was an earsore for some. The word most frequently employed by his detractors to describe this CD is "bombastic." I can tell you with authority that Yared's score is much subtler in comparison, but it does not render this CD worthless. It's good, but not THAT good. Though I have recently acquired the Yared score and thoroughly enjoyed most of it, my sympathies lie with Horner. Now that I've compared the two, Horner's score lack finesse in many areas yet proves to be more memorable than anybody cares to admit. I've been courted by all the hype surrounding Yared's score for well over a year now, but now that I have listened to it I still appreciate Horner's work. If things were my way, I'd have tracks pulled from both scores for use in the film. Yared's work certainly does have its highlights (Although if it were up to him, Troy's sacking wouldn't have been nearly as poignant. Unlike Horner, who chose to include the wailing women we all know and love during the attack, Yared was content just using the orchestra).
Horner's score is much more straightforward than Yared's at times. Its occasional bluntness compliments the epic nature of Troy well. It has everything Troy needed: exciting battle themes, a good deal of exotic instrumentals and vocals, and subdued themes that convey the loss and sorrow characteristic of any war. I was perfectly content with this score's use in the film and it's just as good in CD form. If you enjoyed Troy, the music is obviously evocative of the film and therefore is a must-buy. And, not that this is relevant at all, but I can't believe this CD is rated lower than the score for Batman Begins.
I do have ONE gripe about this particular CD's contents:
Remember, sung by Josh Groban, is utterly passable. He has a good singing voice, but this isn't the Prince of Egypt. This is Troy. His poppish vocals and the background beat don't belong on this CD or in the credits. Give me ethnic instrumentals and wailing women any day, but this is the only track here I really despise.
Excellent Soundtrack, But Missing Some Cuts.......2006-08-15
This stirring soundtrack contains all the music for the lengthy battle scenes in the film but omits some of the shorter pieces. I was especially sorry that the rendition of what appears to be the theme for Achilles only appears briefly within the battle sequences; the stand-alone version that occurred early on in the film isn't included on the soundtrack album.
The Studio Must Be Crazy...Or Deaf.......2006-08-07
At first I wasn't that excited about the fact that Gabriel Yared was going to write the score for "Troy" because I thought he was not the kind of composer who could create a colossal score. Then there came the controversy regarding the rejection of his composition in favor of one written by James Horner. I must say that I was not surprised about that decision.
Then my concerns were confirmed: James Horner went back to his usual tricks. The "danger motif" -as heard before on "Star Trek II-The Wrath Of Khan", "Krull", "Brainstorm", "Willow" and, in a very infamous and repetitive way, "Enemy At The Gates" -is once again here. But unlike "Enemy At The Gates", there are three different themes that are really quite catchy. The most impressive one is the theme for Achilles and his Myrmidorns, very epic and triumphant. Then there is an exhultant motif for the city of Troy. And I don't want to forget the love theme, which is later turned into a song sung by Josh Groban. The action music is quite enjoyable, but they would be great if the "danger" music didn't interfere. Another thing that bothers me about this work is the use of a wailing woman; you know, I'm getting tired of the endless use of that technique.
After the release of the movie and the soundtrack CD, I got the chance to listen to Gabriel Yared's sample music, and I must ask myself "Is the studio crazy...or deaf?" Because what I heard blew me away. Yared's music is more lyrical and impressive than Horner's. Unfortunately, we have to stick with this CD until somebody at the studio opens his/her eyes and ears to see and hear the real music for "Troy".
a let down.......2006-07-06
Well I saw this film and loved it, even though I know it was nothing like the actual event, it does not mean this movie cannot be enjoyed. The fights are great, great characters, and great music.
It took me a while to get the soundtrack to accompany the film, and I am sure those others who appreciate film scores agree that when you want a soundtrack the music you know from the film stays in your head, as if metaphorically nagging you to buy it.
So eventually when I bought it I had a quick flick through the tracks(as you do with a new one) and I did not think much of it at the time but was a bit dissapointed, however I thought that when I had a proper listen I would feel better - I did not.
The first track was actually belonging in the middle of the movie, it is horrible and not good to listen to.
The secong track was good untill they reach troy, that same tune of bells and trumpets is repeated for ages and becomes really annoying.
I wont go on with them; but I found that the best music parts in the film are not on the CD; like when Achilles fights Boagrius and when he is playfighting with Patriclus. All in all it gets worse everytime I listen to it.
It is a waste of money.

Music Poetry Romance.......2007-03-08
Don't be put off by the negative comments judge for yourdelf as I did. I found this by accident looking for some romantic music for my lady and that is exactly what I found. Now I need to see the film. The music conjures up such a feeling, relax listen and enjoy. Imagine moonlight skys, the sea gently lapping along the shoreline, candlelit dinners with the one you love. This will leave you with a warm feeling and if not then you will not know romance. The poetry is warm sensitive and well read, a bonus to the CD.
Il Postino (Le postier).......2007-02-01
Excellent album. En plus de la musique originale du film, plusieurs lectures de poëmes de Pablo Neruda par des acteurs et actrices de renom, sur fond musical.
True Romantic Cd - www.michaelpalmer.net.......2006-12-18
If you are a true romantic, you will love this cd, even IF you are not a fan of some of the famous stars who read the poetry - I know I am not a fan of most of these actors, but it does not take away from the excellence of this soundtrack. If you like this cd, please look at the tv series Beauty and the Beast cd. It is called "Of Love and Hope". It is a must have cd.
lovely!.......2006-09-07
The musical score is haunting without resorting to melancholy. It befits Pablo Neruda's timeless poems. Highly recommended, even if not all of the poetry readings are well executed.
WHAT DID THEY DO?!.......2006-04-01
What is this trash?! This film is beautiful but the soundtrack sucks big time. They should have used the actor who was playing Pablo Neruda to read the poems in ITALIAN! It's a beautiful and romantic language but no..they screw it up with actors from the U.S. OMG! I HATE JULIA ROBERTS! she makes the soundtrack even worse. I spit on this cd! believe me..I would so give this trash 0 stars but amazon doesn't allow it!

Brings back memories.......2003-04-16
This cd brings back alot of memories from the childhood. The cd has the songs straight from the movie which is hard to find on current soundtracks from these new movies that come out. If you love the tunes in the movie then you'll love the soundtrack.
One of the best soundtracks of the nineties.......2000-01-31
This soundtrack is incredible. The beats on this album are to die for. It's full of high-octane, shut-up-and-dance cuts like "Ice Cream Dream," "The Best Things In Life Are Free," "Let's Get Together (So Groovy Now)", and "Money Can't Buy You Love." In addition, the soundtrack also includes the an enchanted star-soaked ballad by Mint Condition entitled "My Dear" --I recommend listening to that song at night, it just evokes such beautiful imagery. Overall, Mo Money is one of the best (if the best) soundtracks of the 90s. Worth it.
weak.......2000-01-30
considering the Legacy of Jam&lewis they could have done way better than this mess.you know it's a joke when Janet Jackson&Luther Vandross are doing a duet? that's the funniest thing that i've ever heard.cuz vocally they are world's apart.the rest of this cd is dead weight to the ears.
Brilliant Timeless Tunes.......1999-09-30
My favourite tunes on the album are Ice Cream Dream, I adore You and Money can't by you love. I bought this album back in 1992 and lost it I loved the album so much that I went out and got it again. The movie was excellent too. Another favourite soundtrack album of mine is Above the Rim.
