About the Artist
Speaker, singer, author, song writer and professor, Dr. Ken Tangen is at home in a variety of settings. He began with a voice scholarship to a major conservatory and ended up with graduate degrees in education and counseling psychology.
Product Description
Ken Tangen recorded this Christmas CD to raise funds for his daughter's medical and living expenses. The doctors know there is something wrong with Katrina's autonomic nervous system but they don't have any idea of exactly what is wrong or how to fix it. After Katrina finished her 2nd year at Harvard, she volunteered her summer in a Nicaraguan orphanage. She returned sick and remains disabled, unable to return to college, get a job or live by herself. Ken did the vocals (with Katrina joining in on a duet on the title song) and wrote several of the songs on the album. The CD has a definite country flavor but also includes jazz, blues, bluegrass, and Southern Gospel touches. A classically trained tenor, Ken quips "It's sort of Pavarotti meets the Beverly Hillbillies." ARTISTCOMMENTS: Christmas is a time for music, love and family. Here's an album from my family to yours.
