About the Artist
Julie Ingram has been preparing for a career in music most of her life. Growing up in Kansas, Julie at age 11 could play five different instruments. "From the beginning I knew my heart belonged to music; my father purchased my first guitar, and I played Yellow Rose of Texas for all of his friends! That's when I knew my soul belonged to country music."
During her high school years, she gave a great deal of thought to what direction her life should take. She dreamed of one day entertaining large audiences. She took her first steps toward this dream by entering the Junior Miss Pageant as Centralia High's representative. From there she earned such titles as Miss Arlington, Miss Yellow Pages, and Miss Urban Cowgirl in conjunction with KPLX Radio and CBS Records, and was a finalist for Miss World and Miss Kansas.
It was only logical that upon graduation, her dream to have a career in modeling required formal instruction and training. Barbizon School of Modeling and Bauder Fashion College were her next steps toward stardom, so much so that she eventually formed her own modeling agency.
Appearing in the television series Dallas, a national Pro-Arts poster and many radio/voice over commercials has always given her name credit, making her very identifiable. Her expertise in front of the camera and interviewing skills made her "not just another pretty face."
Julie has chaired numerous events and served on many charitable organization boards in the Dallas/Fort Worth Community. Those closest to her heart and "just a natural part of her life" are TACA (the largest fund raiser for all the performing arts), The Science Place and TI Founders IMAX Theatre at Fair Park, and Northwood University National Woman's Board.

Album Description
Ezequiel ViñaoEzequiel Viñao, J.Y. Song
Ezequiel Viñao was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1960. At age 20, encouraged by the legendary American pianist Earl Wild, and through the auspices of the United Nations, he moved to New York City where he still lives. At the time, in addition to his activities as a concert pianist, Viñao immersed himself in the task of blending the classical instrumental tradition with computer generated sound worlds. In 1987 he was invited to the Festival d'Avignon to work with the late Olivier Messiaen. The result of these explorations was La Noche de las Noches. These "seven concentrated, evocative pieces, of austerely theatrical force" (The London Times), written for string quartet and live electronics, were selected by the European Broadcasting Union for over 100 broadcasts throughout the world. Other works from this period include The Voices of Silence, a four movement symphony for computers ("always beautiful, exquisitely sustained music" Express-News, San Antonio) and a series of works based on the twelfth century epic poem The Conference of the Birds. Scored for solo instruments and computers these pieces pushed the limits of man-machine interaction to new levels of virtuosity. Performances throughout Europe, in Japan and America were met with critical acclaim. The New York Newsday, reviewing a performance at the Museum of Modern Art, found the music "fascinating" and the computer manipulations as producing "a wonderful array of sounds." In 1992, the Boston Pro Arte Orchestra commissioned a work with live electronics to commemorate the discovery of America. But after El Sueño de Cristobal, "a hallucinatory vision of the sleeping admiral's dream voyage marked by skewed dance rhythms and accumulating textures of fevered intensity" (The Boston Herald), Mr. Viñao's interest begun to move away from the computer sound world.
In 1996, the composer's first monograph, at New York's Carnegie Recital Hall, was hailed by Jed Distler (Classical Pulse/Piano Today) for NCR: "what's immediately clear is the (music's) authority and sophistication", "the torrential energy", "there is nothing generic about this highly gifted composer, whose music, whichever way it turns, is always vibrant and alive."
Mr.Viñao has collaborated with major presenting organizations including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York; the Kennedy Center in Washington; the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society; the Aspen and San Antonio Festivals; the Musikverein in Vienna; the Almeida Theatre in London; the Scottish National Orchestra Centre in Glasgow; the Presences and Bourges Festivals in France; the Helsinki Biennale; the Diligentia Hall in The Hague; the Shobi Institute in Tokyo; with musicians such as Dennis Russell Davies and Joseph Kalichstein; with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and the American Composers Orchestra; as well as with chamber groups like Da Camera of Houston; Speculum Musica; the Smith Quartet and the Brentano String Quartet. His music has received awards from the International Music Council in Paris; the Argentinean Academy of Fine Arts; the New York Foundation for the Arts; the Djerassi Foundation in California; UNESCO's Rostrum of Composers, as well as three consecutive prizes from the International Society for Contemporary Music. In 1995 his Piano Études were awarded the Kennedy Center's prestigious Friedheim Award. Ezequiel Viñao studied with Jacobo Ficher, a Russian composer trained by Rimsky-Korsakov. He later attended the Department of Acoustic Musical Studies of the C

Album Description
In Parterre transformation works as an almost psychedelic fantasy. In the composition Childs juggles a kaleidoscopic assortment of musical colors that are presented as layer upon layer of energized pulsations. These colors later develop and mutate with a wonderfully rich and warm sense of expansion. Childs creates a world where we feel anything could happena truly universal world that's primordial in its understanding of humanity. She would like her listeners to get completely involved in the music and lose themselves. Her aim is to write music that `satisfies people but also which surprises them . . . not a huge surprise that shocks people, but something that is just not what they expected at all.Kilter has the two pianists working out cooperative ventures and independent exercises: their voices may entwine like the laces of a cat's cradle; or they may line up, play off one another, part company altogether. They seem to have decided, in this democratic world of two, to allow for disagreement and embrace it. Chaotic experience isn't the dark side of order, something to be suppressed. To know order is to know and embrace its opposite. And to blur the distinction between the two.
The Capacity of Calm Endurance, a meditation on the rewards and pains of patience (the title is one of the dictionary definitions), was written for pianist Anthony de Mare. They appear to be solo pieces, but the world of Mary Ellen Childs is a little like Wonderland: solo instruments are protean, acting out many roles at once. But her ensemble work Parterre, is a unicycleeccentric, colorful, full of surprises and an ironic sense of balance, though in the end making its way as one. A "parterre" is an ornamental, patterned garden. I can picture Alice wandering through this one, exploring both its sunny and foreboding regions. If she remembers where she is, she'll also remember that one can't exist without the other.
