About the Artist
A deep rooted love of country music is the driving force for SHERRY LEECE. Being born in a small rural town in central Arkansas, Sherry grew up thinking that it was the only music there was. She still believes it should be.
Sherry works endlessly to improve her singing and writing skills and is fortunate to have the love and support of her family. It is truly a family affair with her.
Sherry has received several awards including "Vocal Duo of the Year "(while singing with her sister) and "Country Songwriter of the Year, 2001" from the CMOA. Golden Microphone Award from the International Airplay and King Eagle Awards. She also has been on several European Charts and One US Chart with the releases off of this CD.
One of her greatest achievements was being signed to the Stardust of Nashville label under the expert guidance of the legendary Col. Buster Doss. The Colonel is an award winning producer, singer, songwriter and actor. Stardust was recently voted "Label of the Year" by the Tennessee Country Music Association.
Sherry completed her CD in May 2002 which she titled "A New Leece On Life" She wrote 9 of the 12 songs on the CD and is very proud of that fact. She hopes to help keep country music where it belongs...in the hands and hearts of the fans.
