Editorial Reviews
Taaffe C. O'Connell, Power Agent, November 2001
A name to watch for, to experience her music is truly to be "In The Arms Of A Good Woman."
Product Description
Suzanne Edwards Alford, is a brand new country artist whose voice has been compared to the smokey sound of Bonnie Raitt and the velvet and sultriness of Dottie West.
This album promises something for everyone with a taste for new country with the title cut "The Arms Of A Good Woman" co-written by Suzanne and Ron Miller, veteran songwriter of such Motown hits as "For Once In My Life," "Touch Me In The Morning," "A Place In The Sun," and other such hits as "If I Could" and "I've Never Been To Me."
Suzanne also serves up some traditional sounds with "Love That Daddy Took Away" written by Suzanne and "Tulip's Dream" penned by Paul Williams, well known for numerous Carpenter's hits including "We've Only Just Begun" and "You're Gone" by Diamond Rio and co-written by Gene Nelson "Eighteen Wheels And A Dozen Roses" made famous by Kathy Mattea.
Suzanne reaches back into her Welsh roots when she brings a Celtic flavor or as she has coined the phrase, "Big Celtic Country" to "Faraway" by Lori Mecham, Tabitha Fair and Greg Barnhill, writer of "Walk Away Joe" by Trisha Yearwood. She also includes a song from fellow writer Jana Stanfield, who wrote "If I had only known" recorded by Reba McIntire.
With her first single "Window Shoppin" just launching to radio nationally and internationally, Suzanne promises just the right amount of spunk and sassiness that will make the listener want to do a little "Window Shoppin" of their own.
