Play it loud, pour a beverage, and you've got a party started.

Product Description
This disc is the ultimate in REAL country-rock. Just as Shania mixes fake rock with fake country, The Blue Chieftains keep it real as if Hank met Chuck via Johnny Thunders. The songs are delightfully clever, funny, insightful, and rockin'. The playing is absolutely superb throughout, with twin guitars burning. This reunion show captures the vibe perfectly which is very hard to do when you consider that the vibe is a party and it's on a little silver metal thingy. If you like country that rocks, this is the disc for you. Do yourself a favor and find out why they are legendary on the Lower East Side.

1 out of 5 stars Another one hit wonder.......2007-07-10

I'm soooo tired of hearing the Tees squeek out their one hit wonder "Delilah". This song should be used as a torture device to get criminals to spill their guts. Hearing this over and over and over would invite madness. This is my most hated song of all time, surpassing "I Shot The Sheriff", "Betty Davis Eyes", and "Loving You". Dull, sappy, weak, thin, garbage.

5 out of 5 stars as expected.......2007-06-03

the merchandise arrived to my house in a reasonable amount of time as described.

4 out of 5 stars Definately a good CD.......2007-05-31

Plain White T's CD is definately takes care of your alternative itch. The CD has really good pacing, is fun and and smart.

5 out of 5 stars Plain White T's are All That We Needed!.......2007-01-14

A mix of power pop/alternative/and indie songs, Plain White T's put a lot of passion in their music. The songs are very good and well written even if they are slightly repetitive. Many of their lyrics are sweet love songs or songs about relationships gone wrong that would appeal to many who listen to emo music. However I would not classify them as emo for their music is generally upbeat. If you like to listen to just a few songs off a CD Plain White T's, All That We Needed, is a good buy. You will find that you fall in love with ½ the songs and the find others are good also. Listening to a CD as background noise you will love the sound and the lead singer, Tom Higgenson, has a great voice. The song "Hey There Delilah" sinks into your soul and make you want to melt in your shoes. It is soft and sweet love song it starts off with;
"Hey there Delilah,What's it like in New York City?, I'm a thousand miles away, But girl tonight you look so pretty,Yes you do,Time Square can't shine as bright as you,I swear it's true"
If this is the only song you've heard off that album I will warn you that it is the only real acoustic song on the album. The other songs are good in a different, more 'get up and jump around,' kind of way. The music is passionate and have very good beat that cause you to want to put it in your CD player on repeat. I would 99% recommend this album but try not to over play it as soon as you get it!

2 out of 5 stars One Good Song.......2007-01-11

This CD get 2 stars for the last song and 0 stars for the rest. I bought this CD spefically for the last song, "Hey There Delilah." I had hopes that there might also be some other songs on the CD that would be worth listening to. In my opinion the last song was the only one worth listening to because all of the others are simply annoying.

As fans of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy know, each film exists in two versions: the theatrical one and the extended one that appeared on DVD. This luxurious box set--which also comes with a detailed essay on the movie's musical themes--features the full extended score, so many cues not on the CDs of the individual movies are included. Granted, the majority of listeners will be perfectly happy with the shorter versions of the scores--it's a safe bet that most people can live without hearing, say, Ian McKellen's 35-second-long ditty "The Road Goes Ever On" at the beginning of "Bag End," or Viggo Mortensen's performance of his own composition, "The Song of Lúthien," within the track "The Nazgûl." But if you're a completist and/or a devotee of Howard Shore's pounding tympani and overwhelming choral compositions (featured particularly prominently on disc 3, a large chunk of which is devoted to a battle scene), then this set is a dream come true. Audiophiles should note that the fourth disc, a DVD, offers the score in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. Fire up those speakers so the whole shire can hear. --Elisabeth Vincentelli

Album Description

An epic film score receives epic treatment with The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring/Complete Recordings. Released for the first time on CD, the complete score for the first film in the Lord of the Rings trilogy contains more than 180 minutes of music on three CDs plus a DVD-Audio disc of the entire score in Surround Sound. Breathtaking and majestic, the 2001 Oscar and Grammy winning score compsted by Howard Shore also includes Enya's Oscar nominated "May It Be." For fans of any of The Lord of the Rings films, the Fellowship of the Ring/Complete Recordings is an essential experience.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful.......2007-06-15

I picked up this set because I am both a LOTR fan, movies and books and I need music to help me work. There are some tracks that I skipped over, like the short little ditties in the bar, but many of the songs, such as the Elvish chants are easy to get lost in - its just too bad they don't last longer. The packaging really is well done, though the DVD disc was loose when I received it in the mail, but unharmed. I will have to wait until the price on the second set comes down a little more, but I can't wait for ROTK.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome.......2007-06-12

This is by far the editon to get if you loved the lord of the rings soundtrack. It has every song on it from the extended edition. and the DVD-A version is very nice.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Music tracks from Movie.......2007-05-03

Brings the movie back as you listen to the full version of the track.

3 out of 5 stars Complete?.......2007-04-07

This CD collection is wonderful; it has much of the material from the movie that was only included in the extended edition DVD, but it is far from complete. While it does have the complete version of "The Passing of the Elves" and two versions of "The Road Goes Ever On", many of the songs are highly incomplete and inferior to the originals. "Aniron," the theme for Aragorn and Arwen performed by Enya, is incomplete and the lyrics are hard to match to what is being sung. The sound quality for this song is even worse on the accompanying DVD, which is supposed to have all of the music in "superior sound". The song "Prophecy" is reduced to two barely-audible lines and "May It Be" is shortened and different than the original. $60 for this when there are more complete songs on the original soundtrack is ridiculous.

3 out of 5 stars Great Collection, Poor Packaging.......2007-04-03

I realy can't add to what others have said about this set, the music is simply the best LOTR soundtrack collection out there! It is all here, and the contents of this set will make any LOTR fan happy and the music DVD is a great one disc addition if you want to hear the entire score in one sitting (to which I have done a number of times already).
My only complaint is the somewhat flimsy cardboard box that houses the contents of this musical treasure. Mine came damaged, and considering the price, I expected better packaging. This is a minor quabble on my part and NO, I havent returned it due to the fact that the music itself Is what I truly treasure, It just would have been nicer to have recieved it undamaged.

Amazon.com's Best of 2000

The foursome come roaring out of the blocks with their latest collection. The album's first single, "Beautiful Day," raced to the No. 1 slot on the U.K. singles charts and received a similar rapturous reception stateside. From its shimmering preamble to its sweeping, infectious chorus, it perfectly stakes out the middle ground between the anthemic U2 of the '80s and the more grounded group of the '90s. With Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno sharing production chores again after having taken a break with Pop, the U2 team enters the new millennium with their lineup--and mission--intact. --Steven Stolder

Amazon.com essential recording

If U2 hadn't used the title already, "A Sort of Homecoming" might have suited this, their 10th studio album. All That You Can't Leave Behind sounds, at various points, like any or all of U2's previous albums, as if the band is sending postcards back from a protracted ramble through previously conquered territories. The euphoric opening track, "Beautiful Day," reintroduces Edge's signature delay-laden guitar, which has been pretty much absent since The Unforgettable Fire. Elsewhere, the gospel stylings of Rattle and Hum resurface on "Stuck in a Moment," and the deranged, Prodigy-influenced dance textures that characterized 1997's Pop crop up on "Elevation." None of which suggest that this commendably restless bunch is running out of ideas. Having spent the '90s making three of the most bizarre and adventurous albums ever delivered by a stadium-rock band (the consecutive masterpieces Achtung Baby, Zooropa, and Pop), it's as if they're now trying to figure out what is the one particular thing they've always done best. Based on the evidence presented here, their forte remains a facility for making the epic statement alongside Bono's increasing lyrical intimacy: "Walk On" and "Peace on Earth" are two of the best things he's ever written or sung. All That You Can't Leave Behind confirms that U2's laurels are still making them itch. --Andrew Mueller

5 out of 5 stars U2 For You If For U2 You Are True.......2007-03-27

This won't be one of my typical long reviews. I will simply say that I started buying U2 when they 1st came out with what I call protest songs. I haven't stopped. To me they are the band of the 80s and 90s and even into the 21st. century. I own every cd that U2 ever brought out. I will always buy U2 as long as it consists of Bono, The Edge, Clayton and Mullins Jr. I don't even have to think about it....their music is my music and I will buy them.....this cd is a U2 cd and reason enough for me to buy it...if you love U2 you will buy them all or you are not a true U2 fan...the preceeding was a Joliet Jayke the Bluze Brother Editorial opinion and only reflects my opinion..nuff said.

5 out of 5 stars I just love this cd.......2007-03-25

This cd is one of the top three in U2 catalogue, the other two would be "The joshua Tree" and "Atchung Baby". I can listen to this one many times each week and never get tired of. This is what we can call "A desert Island cd" if you see what I mean. Eleven great songs, the ballads are really good, "Stuck in a moment you can't get out of", "Kite", "In a little while" are incredible, lot of emotion and the voice of Bono is awesome. This band gets better with age.

5 out of 5 stars All That You Can't Leave Behind unheard.......2007-03-09

This is one of the best album of U2. As an album it is number 3 after Joshua Tree, and Achtung Baby. It is one of those records you better not stop at all. Not only for fans.

5 out of 5 stars THEIR BEST; EVEN BETTER THAN JOSHUA TREE!.......2006-12-25

Six years now since the release, and this magnificent grouping of songs is still fresh! Beyond the obvious hits "Beautiful Day", "Elevation", and "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of", take a new listen to "In a Little While", "When I Look at the World", and "Grace." Bono's voice never better on these cuts. I never tire of this album!!

5 out of 5 stars Released before 9/11....Really?.......2006-12-06

I have to say that one of the most remarkable things about this CD has nothing to do with its engineering and songwriting. What has always struck me about this CD is that it became such a tribute album to the events of September 11th, but it was released almost a year earlier. The lyrics are uplifting and eerily fore-shadowing all at once. For example:

-As some reviewers have noted "Walk On" has become an anthem to rising above the ashes and carrying on in the face adversity.

-"Beautiful Day" is a tribute to wonderful day that is laid out before us.

-"New York" is an ode to a city that is collectively stronger than anyone thought possible.

-Lastly, "Peace on Earth" has got to be one of the most fore-telling songs in the past twenty years. "They're reading names out over the radio/All the folks the rest of us won't get to know/Sean and Julia, Gaerth, Ann and Breda/Their lives are bigger than any big idea." It's scary, but I think U2 kind of knew where we, as a society were headed.

It's been a point of discussion between my wife and I, becuase she insists that there is no way these songs could have been written before 9/11. But they were and it makes it all the more remarkable.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent!.......2006-11-17

I was debating whether to give this CD 4 or 5 stars, and I went with four because this band does not rock enough for me. But what it does is deliver tight melodies, empassioned vocal performances, and consistent songcraft. The cover of Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time is great, although they cut some of the lyrics out of her original, more reflective version. If any dude out there can cover Cyndi Lauper and pull it off, you know he can sing, and this vocalist is exceptional, very similar to the vocalist from "All American Rejects." Other tracks "Maybe Misery" and "Rise From the Ashes" are top-notch, and there are not really any bad songs on here. When they turn up the guitars, it gets even better, and this band has some major potential. Keep your eyes on this band - they are the real deal.

5 out of 5 stars Unbelievably awesome!!!!.......2007-07-09

I'm not one who is much for metalcore, as I like the likes of Wintersun, Nevermore, Opeth, Antestor, and Amon Amarth, and such. In fact I was a bit hesitant to get this one, but I really love this album. I even like the screams, which normally I wouldn't. Powerful, melodic, heavy, catchy, and virtuosic. Every song has a solo, many of which are longer and relatively fast. The only downside is it is short, only 39 minutes. Other than that, perfect.

So get it!!!

5 out of 5 stars Unbelievably powerful.......2007-06-17

This band is simply amazing and the best you can get in this genre. Every song on here is well-constructed from the mind-blowing guitar solos from Oli Herbert to Phil's vocals which have an enormous range. The thing about this band is that they are indeed very heavy but in my opinion it seems like every song has a sad mood to it and it is that mood that makes you want to listen over and over again. A great example of realizing this is on "Whispers(I Hear Your)" on the bridge where the guitar plays really heavy and then puts in a soft chord. As for the songs, my review for each is as follows:

1. This Calling 10/10
-Love this song it can be interpreted in so many ways and you can also easily relate it to yourself. The heavy parts are amazing with how Phil's deep screaming harmonizes perfectly with the head-banging guitar.

2. Not Alone 10/10
-A really emotional track that makes you think about the power of love and how it can heal sadness.

3. It Dwells In Me 9/10
-I thought this song is very good like the others however I didn't really see it as a standout track as it represents a theme presented throughout the album.

4. We Stand 10/10
-I love this song. The way I intrepret it is that people with anger in their hearts are often the ones whom have to stand up to the world and be strong. Cool bridge on this song as well.

5. Whispers(I Hear Your) 10/10
-In my opinion, the verse in this song is the best heavy verse in this entire album especially on account of the anticipation of the riff to come in after the acoustic intro.

6. The Weak Willed 7/10
-Personally, I'm not into Death Metal. Although, I like the acoustic parts.

7.Six 10/10
-I first heard this song on Guitar Hero 2 which is where I started to listening to All That Remains(Thank god for that). The bridge on here is irresistable the song would be completely out of place without it. The intro/outro is astonishing.

8.Become The Catalyst 10/10
-Amazing song about having passion and getting rid of the fear of losing that passion hence;("Let the fire consume me.") The chorus is really catchy and my favorite part is "I pound the walls; I shake the cage!"

9.The Air That I Breathe 10/10
-I thought it was a little odd that the two songs about failure were right after one another, but this song is really catchy. Great melodic guitar solo in this one.

10. Empty Inside 10/10
-If you don't like this song something is wrong with you! Probably my most favorite track on the cd.

11. Indictment 10/10
-The beginning riff reminds me of something from Slayer, which is obviously a good thing. To that single riff, I head-bang I never have before. The bridge gives me goosebumps. I love the guitar solo because it is more of a crazy solo rather than a melodic-type solo which is what most of the album is like.

^^Pick Up This Album^^

4 out of 5 stars It's hard, it's soft, it's hard again!.......2007-06-15

I like their screaming, I like their guitars and drums. The chorus parts can get a little corny sounding at times, but I think a little variety helps give them an edge over all the sound-alikes there are out there. I love the guy that has the low scream on "The Weak Willed", its like the grim reaper yelling in your ear! I just think it sounds crazy. I love the double bass kick in the first verse of "This Calling". There's definitely some good stuff on here, it's worth a listen. If you want all screaming lyrics go elsewhere. The singing in some choruses is similar to Hoobastank's album "The Reason". The screaming is awesome, I like their vocals and Unearth's.

2 out of 5 stars why do so many people like this?? .......2007-05-17

I dont know what to say about this band. I know that they're becoming pretty big but i cannot figure out why. This cd is the same cookiecutter over produced sh** that is ruining the repuatation of a great genre of music. Between the repetitive song style, the girly vocals and a lack of originality, this cd isn't even worth the time it takes to listen to it, unless you want to hear the same lame unoriginal song 11 times. I guess if you like cheesy a** copycat metalcore then its a good buy. If you dont feel like wasting your money look elsewhere. From A Second Story Window's Delenda or Nights Like These' The Faithless (I know i know victory sucks but oh well) are a good place to start if your looking to buy some cds. Oh im not 13 either im just sick of signing in.

5 out of 5 stars Shadows Fall Ain't S#@T!.......2007-05-10

Of course you can't really write a review without mentioning SF, (given the history of the two bands) but give me a break, I simple can't stand Brian AT ALL. Dude sounds cheap and forgettable, as do his backing vocalists that couldn't write a catchy riff if their life depended on it. SF are nothing, I stepped in a pile of Dog crap and thought of them the other day.

ALL THAT REMAINS on the other hand are far from the pile I mentioned. I find that at anygiven time of the day, I have riffs running through my head from this new release. Not to mention that production wise this is the heaviest by far, not really too much different from the last release but it is HEAVIER-(somehow.)

As a guitarist, (which is a huge part of my beef with SF - cause again they SUCK) I find All That Remains to be on the top of their game. And the material is just honest. The stories are real and true to life, but then again SF could be, but I fall asleep before they ever get to their point.

There isn't one song on this disc that I don't love, but 1 - 2 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 9 & 11 are my favs, the rest are just my second favs.

SF is a history lesson Phil and ATR are present and FUTURE.

If there's one thing film producers and record executives like more than Success, it's Success: Part 2. Thus when Ridley Scott's high-tech sword 'n' sandal epic scored both Golden Globe wins and Academy Award nods for Best Film and Best Score, it was a sure bet that another volume of Hans Zimmer's and Lisa Gerrard's music for the film couldn't be far behind. Though not exactly leftovers, the tracks here sometimes point to the fact that there wasn't enough fresh material to fill this volume out, hence we get some remixed cues, a handful of familiar music with dramatic dialog excerpts edited and superimposed (or misplaced, with decidedly mixed results), and even a beat-heavy, dance-club mix of "Now We Are Free." With a little over half an hour of entirely fresh material and some souvenir dialog snippets over the rest, there's enough here to please Gladiator die-hards. Also of note: guitarist Heitor Pereira's flamenco-flavored flourishes are better showcased throughout; and "The Gladiator Waltz" serves up one of Zimmer's original synth demos (with a dash of Russell Crowe dialog up front)--a dramatic amp-up of Holst's "Mars, the Bringer of War" that's a prime example of the composer's state-of-the-art digital orchestral conjuring. --Jerry McCulley

5 out of 5 stars Essential.......2006-12-30

One of those pivotal soundtracks. Unfortunately, there is dialogue over a few of the tracks, but it is well worth sitting or fast-forwarding through. There is a duduk (the sound used for that thing Mr. Tumnus plays in 'Narnia'), and I have fallen in love with it. There is the use of a female voice (Lisa Gerrard) wailing in another language, which had become something of a trend ('Troy', 'Munich', 'Narnia' again, and many others). "Now We Are Free" is the kind of song that first intrigues you, then entraps you, and then takes you on an emotional ride. The soundtrack is intensely bittersweet, exciting ("The Gladiator Waltz"--yes, you're supposed to giggle--Hans did!), and just very consumable. If you were impressed by movie--and I haven't run into anybody yet who wasn't--then consider this soundtrack an equivalent of that experience, but audio.

5 out of 5 stars HANS ZIMMER IS THE GREATEST PRESENT DAY COMPOSER!!!.......2005-10-23

I HAVE TO SAY HANS ZIMMER IS THE GREATEST OF HIS ERA. I HAVE PURCHASED ALMOST ALL OF HIS MAJOR SCORES FROM RAIN MAN, CRIMSON TIDE, GLADIATOR, AND EVEN THE LATEST BATMAN AND I KNOW I HAVE PLENTY OF MORE THAT COULD BE LISTED. I FIRST WAS WEIRY ABOUT BUYING THE SECOND SCORE TO GLADIATOR THINKING IT WOULD BE JUST LIKE THE FIRST ONE. IT IS AWESOME AND JUST AS GOOD OR BETTER, IF YOU ARE A TRUE ZIMMER FAN YOU HAVE TO ADD THIS TO YOUR COLLECTION. I HOPE HE KEEPS MAKING MUSIC FOR YEARS TO COME.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Extention!.......2005-10-22

Gladiator may be the best middle eastern score ever written. The Duduk was incredible!

The first CD was amazing as well, however, I believe this disc to have a few advantages.

First of all, "The Gladiator Waltz." This song TOTALLY improves upon "The Battle" from disc 1. The original stopped way before the new track. The synth sounds are very good, and don't take away from the beauty at all!

Another highlight is "Homecoming" this is a sad, angry song that will have your blood pumping. If you've seen the movie, you remember the scene where Maximus escapes execution, and rides home like a mad man, only to find his wife and son Crucified. A truly angry and intense song.

"Secrets" is a sneaky evil track, portraying the violent insanity of Commodus.

I have mentioned the highlights, but all the rest are great too! A must have CD, even if you own the first!

4 out of 5 stars beautiful music.......2005-07-28

This is just what the title says: more great(beautiful) music from the motion picture, including some "spiced-up" remixes. This album also features sound clips from the movie. Listening to it will make you think you're in Rome again.

2 out of 5 stars Disappointing companion to the Oscar nominated score........2005-05-28

The original score for Gladiator was a grand triumph for composer Hans Zimmer. Unfortunatly, this cd follows a trend during the latter half of the 1990's. When you have a successful score cd, follow it up with a cd full of dialogue, demo tracks and occassional new music. That is what this cd is full off. I expected more of the great music from the movie, instead I was disappointed bitterly.

4 out of 5 stars Wonderful, but not my first choice.......2007-04-07

I believe this was the first recording of Elijah in English that used an "international" conductor and some international singers. Fruhbeck gives a good, dramatic sweep to the piece, with some wonderful dramatic moments. This is an old fashioned performance, with only a solo quartet, and if there is a semi-chorus, I can't tell the difference. This means that the soprano is the Widow, and an Angel, the mezzo the Angel and Queen Jezabel, etc. You really should have a libretto, but you don't get one at this price.
Fischer-Dieskau roughens up his voice for the role, and therein lies a problem. The voice spreads and his diction suffers because of it; that and his unidiomatic pronounciation, with far too many rolled "r"s. He does the drama well, but what works well in lieder works here less well on the large scale. Odd, given his success as on opera singer (check out his Iago), that here he frequently comes off blustery.
Dame Gwyneth Jones belies her reputation and gives a contolled, dramatic performance, using her "edge" to advantage in "Hear Ye, Israel". Gedda's diction is amazing, with exactly the right color for this literature, and projecting a little more blood than an English tenor.
Dame Janet Baker is my star in this performance. Dramatic, heart-rending when need be, and in wonderful voice. She'll chill your blood when she tells the people of Baal to "slaughter him, do what he hath done!".
And as for the people of Baal, the Philharmonia Chorus is wonderful. Incisive and dramatic, with beautiful tone. I could do without the trick of the boy choir for "Lift Thine Eyes", and I miss the small ensembles, but all in all a fine performance, and good recording, circa 1968.
First choice in English, Daniels/Terfel: better Elijah in Terfel, better recording, more authentic orchestra, small vocal ensembles (as per the score) but inferior women (including Fleming: beautiful tone, but where's her head?). In German, it's Sawallisch/Adam all the way.
But if you're singing Elijah, and have a score, this is a good choice.

5 out of 5 stars THE BEST recording of the BEST oratorio ever..........2006-08-15

Okay, I'm gonna admit I'm biased- I first sung in the chorus of Elijah when I was 14 and it made a BIG impression on me!
This recording is in every way wonderful. Starting with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. He IS Elijah to me. His singing is perfection. He has amazing phrasing and his diction makes it possible to understand the lovely, inspired libretto to this heavenly music. There are so many pieces that are ephemeral, but a couple of my favorites are: #14, Lord God of Abraham and #37, For the Mountains shall Depart. Dieskau does a great job of what I think of as compassionate, heartfelt singing. His interpretation sounds like the voice of God himself. It has a quality of kindness and yet he sounds just as convincing reprimanding the people of Baal. He is the true highlight of this recording.

That said, the rest of the cast is wonderful as well. Gwyneth Jones has a lovely, silvery voice that has a clarion bell-like tone that rings over the large orchestra with ease. She has occasional "misfire" but is a consistent performer. Dame Janet Baker and Nicolai Gedda both perform at a consistently lovely level. The orchestra and chorus are both wonderful. #15, Cast thy Burden upon the Lord, #32 He that Shall Endure to the End, and #38 Then Did Elijah are all highlights.

All said, for me the main reason to get this recording is Dieskau's Elijah- after all, he's the main character. But don't forget the lovely music. This story is exciting and passionate and sacred all at the same time. For me, it's the best oratorio that has a moving story and great music too.

4 out of 5 stars Too bad there are so few recordings of Elijah.......2006-07-03

This is a good recording of an oratorio that deserves more attention. The chorus and soloists are very good--I just wish Fischer-Diskau wouldn't slide around so much in singing the title part!

I am very unsatisfied with this order. I have ordered many times from Amazon and have received CDs in great shape that still had the proper jackets on them. I have even recommended you to family and friends. After this order, I do not feel inclined to recommend this site anymore.

5 out of 5 stars His best cd ever and one of the best R&B albums (in new, not old r&b) ever.......2007-05-19

If anyone can make a cd like this now, with the state of r&b today, it would be a good thing. I am not for songs about love, relationships and sex, just for the sake of it, to make money as they do now.If you are going to write about it, use your brain, be original, with new topics and well written songs. This album has this, in tearms of new topics you have, All The Things Your Man Won't Do, Don't Wanna Be A Player and Good Girls. In tearms of well written you have, Love Don't Make Know Sense and The love Scene(in part a new topic or just smart thinking).

4 out of 5 stars Actually, It's Just the Tip of the Iceberg of Who Joe Is.......2007-04-26

This second CD of his really helped him boost his career and helped to uplift the spirit of the 1990s. Songs like "All the Things Your Man Won't Do", "No One Else Comes Close", and "The Love Scene" help to bring out his depth in R&B as a singer and performer. Personally, the song "Good Girls" describes how I felt for most of my life, including the period that the album came out, so as a whole, I give it 4 stars, and it's definitely worth the time and money spent.

5 out of 5 stars Grab this album when you're in the mood to pull an all- nighter!.......2007-03-05

This joint is the soundtrack for 12 rounds of love making. Nuff Said!!!

5 out of 5 stars Contemporary Soul.......2007-03-03

I remember when this CD first came out in '97 and playing it for that special young lady of mine but not fully appreciating it. It came out around the same time my boy Brian McKnight's Anytime dropped. This CD alone established Joe as one of the best contemporary R&B artist of the late '90s going into the new millenium. This is still one of my favorites to set the mood.

5 out of 5 stars Absolute classic album from the mega-talented Breathe.......2006-12-02

As long as I live I'll never tire of this fantastic album. These guys knew how to write a song. The quality of the music here on every song is just out of this world, with a highly professional sound. These were serious musicians who unfortunately didn't become huge (although they should have).

But I admit that I'm a little biased, for the reason that "Hands To Heaven" is here, my favorite song of all time. And it literally took me about 10 years to discover which band performed it. I became obsessed with this song the very first time I heard it, but didn't know who performed it. I must have sung the words to at least 40 different people, yet none of them knew the song. And then finally, several years ago, someone at a record store knew it and pointed me to the album. I was fortunate enough to find it while it was still in print. Sadly it is out of print now, and it will cost you a pretty penny to get it. But it's worth every cent. I suggest also checking eBay-I've seen it pop up there from time to time. Also recommend is Breathe's other album, Peace Of Mind, which I think is also out of print. Not quite as strong as All That Jazz, but still definitely worthy of tracking down.

5 out of 5 stars Incredible.......2006-05-20

I remember buying this on audio cassette as a kid, and I loved it. I recently came across the tape again and gave it another listen, and, as an adult, I have a newfound appreciation for it. The songs are smooth, easy to listen to, and catchy! Almost everyone remembers How Can I Fall and Hands To Heaven, but the album has much more to offer than that. All This I Should Have Known and Don't Tell Me Lies are two more incredible songs. The music sounds great, and the lyrics are excellent. Definitely worth listening to, and buying!! (Also great music for wining and dining!)

4 out of 5 stars They are an unforgettable band. .......2006-04-18

When I was a student, I listened their album and felt so good.
They are very special band.

5 out of 5 stars Back Together Someday ...........2006-01-22

I give this album 5 stars just for "Hands To Heaven" alone since I play it every night while thinking about my boyfriend who is far away in the Middle East right now. I play that song to bring hope that I'll see him again. Some of my other favorites are not only "How Can I Fall?" but also "Won't You Come Back", "Monday Morning Blues","All This I Should Have Known" - heck virtually the entire album!

On another note, I have a lot of my friends who did not grow up here when they were younger, so I always have to play what they missed during the 80s (I'm grew up here in the US). While they are familiar with Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Prince, Breathe is not well known in my social circles. However, I only need to play the 2 most popular songs "Hands To Heaven" and "How Can I Fall" to for them to fall in love with the group. You can tell when songs are timeless when a person who has never heard them instantly become fans nearly 20 years after they are released!

5 out of 5 stars Unforgettable hits from the 80's!!!!!.......2005-10-16

I was 9 years old when this c.d. came out and obviously didn't remember a lot being I was a kid. But when I turned 15, the memories kicked in! HANDS TO HEAVEN is no doubt a true classic!!! I remember when they would play this on the radio station, I would sit on my desk in my room, open up the blinds, stare at the beautiful sunset, and would think about the girl I was in love with. It might sound weird but it just gave me courage to get up and take a chance with her. Well, it's been 12 long years, I've been in the military, and the rest is history..... However, HANDS TO HEAVEN just has the words and music to relax and basically put anybody in cloud nine mode. Thank you Breathe for the great music/memories and may GOD richly bless you all. (...)
