Product Description
Full title - Science Hat Artistic Cube Moral Nosebleed Empire. The Country Teasers are best known for their stunning output on the Crypt and Fat Possum labels. How a band of Scots and Londoners crazily influenced by the likes of The Fall, Joy Division, Devo, Bauhaus, hip-hop and country & western music wound up recording for labels best known for American rootsy-down -home-style output is anyone's guess. But here they are again with their most expansive and eclectic endeavor to date.

5 out of 5 stars a wonderful mixture of sloppy joy.......2002-11-26

This is a compilation of various Country Teasers UK only stuff from over the years. All the thanks in the world to In The Red for putting this out.
This shows just how nuts these guys are. The opening track is some kind of lo-fi punk techno, then they bust in to their trademark post-punk-ripping-off-deranged-country greatness. They even cover Ice Cube.
If you're a fan of the Country Teasers, you should own this. If you're new to them try their self-titled or Satan is Real Again. Actually, either way, buy everything you see by these guys, you won't be sorry (unless you're P.C.).

5 out of 5 stars Pure British brilliance!.......2002-06-19

I first became familiar with this band by their "Satan Is Real Again" album which was a masterpiece of post punk music with a lot of sardonic wit. This is a band NOT for the politically correct. But, if you have a sense of humor and a taste for raw Fall-esque rock mixed with twisted country music this is the band for you. This CD collects twenty tracks from various times and places from their ten year career and somehow, rather than coming up uneven, is their most cohesive and interesting release to date. A must for fans of The Fall, Jon Wayne, Butthole Surfers and Pussy Galore.
