About the Artist
Hogmolly is an acoustic trio based in Springfield, MO, featuring Bo Brown, (Guitar, Mandolin), Matt Maydew (Fiddle, Mandolin) and Jeff Sowards (Bass). Their music is an eclectic mix of Bluegrass, Funk, R&B and Swing, thrown into a high energy original sound. Jeff's vocals are reminescent of something between John Cowan (New Grass Revival) and Greg Allman, featured in his many original songs. The group's vocal harmony sound ranges from gospel blues and bluegrass to 60's rock, overlaying lots of hot picking by Matt and Bo. They've finished and released their first CD, titled "Hickadelic Jazzgrass"!

Astonishing!.......2002-03-22
If you like a variety of music, such as R&B, Funk, Rock and Bluegrass, you definately have to have a listen. They have a unique style of rolling all this together to come up with some very energentic music with lyrics that'll keep you on your toes.
Some of their songs have a way of sending a great message, others are funny, while others are down right wierd.
