I love country music and this album lets me listen to various artists without buying the entire album. I liked most of the cuts on this album.
Another Package of Treats Comes Rolling In.......2007-02-23
Once again a collection of recent country hits under the title of "Totally Country" arrives on the music store shelves; to provide a sampling of today's modern selection of country fare. These songs were on the country music charts in 2005 and/or 2006. In general, many of these are modern-style, mid-tempo tunes dealing with contemporary issues of daily life, with a few slower, and some faster tracks included in the package.
Country newcomer and American Idol winner Carrie Underwood presents "Don't Forget To Remember Me", a sentimental pop country hit, about a young woman who has moved out to her own place. It first depicts her mother telling her to remember her, then the daughter asking her mother and then God to remember her during this life transition. Two fast-paced, upbeat hits by female singers include "Sunshine & Summertime" by Faith Hill, a pop tinged song about summer fun, and Gretchen Wilson's "California Girls", a semi-traditional yet semi-pop hit featuring fiddle and guitar (not to be confused with an older song of the same title by a different artist). In moving the focus from play to work, Sugarland performs "Something More", a bouncy pop/country hit describing a career woman who desires more from life than just her tiresome, stressful job.
Life (or love) is not always ideal as illustrated in several of the songs in this collection such as "Life Ain't Always Beautiful" by Gary Allan, a slow, soft ballad about the downsides in an otherwise beautiful ride; Lonestar's "Mountains" about conquering challenges in one's life; and "I Never Promised You A Rose Garden" by Martina McBride, a remake of Lynn Anderson's 1970s hit about love's imperfections. Breaking up is featured in "Leave The Pieces" by the new female duo The Wreckers, in which the woman urges her undecisive man to leave their doomed relationship; Keith Anderson's "Everytime I Hear Your Name" features a man who is reminded of a former girlfriend and their relationship whenever he hears her name. George Strait's "She Let Herself Go" is a basically traditional gentle-sounding piece with a title that suggests the woman went to pieces when her man left her, but she let herself do some fun things instead.
Losing someone is featured in a couple of songs here. Kenny Chesney's "Who You'd Be Today" is a soft track about experiencing the loss of a friend or loved one and wondering what they would have been like and what they would have become or done if they were still living. The ballad "Last Day Of My Life" by Phil Vassar begins with an acoustic piano accompaniment, in which the death of a friend's girlfriend inspires the singer to love his own girlfriend and be as close to her as possible as if he might not have another chance.
Love songs are included here, as this is a tradition in country music. Blake Shelton's "Nobody But Me" is soft and low key, about a guy telling his girlfriend that he is the only one who really cares about her and loves her that much, and reminding her not to love anybody but him. Against a backdrop of a fast thumping beat, hurried fiddle, and guitar, "The World" by Brad Paisley, tells his girl that she means the world to him, even though other people know her as just another (fill in the blank here) as though she is just another one in the crowd. "Must Be Doing Something Right" by Billy Currington is a soft, gentle romantic ballad possessing a flavor of rhythm and blues blended with country.
"Something To Be Proud Of" by the Kentucky duo Montgomery Gentry is a mid-tempo piece that mixes country with a heavy rock sound. It features a boy talking with his father first about an event in war the elder recalls, and later (as a grown man) about his low-paying, humble job. His father reminds him that living an honest life and working hard to provide for the family are things to be proud of. Finally, Big & Rich present "The 8th Of November", a story of a Vietnam veteran reflecting on a day and event in the war nearly 40 years ago (at age 58 looking back on that historical day while he was 19 years old).
Overall, this is a well-rounded taste of today's popular country songs which are played on the radio. Many of these hits are also featured in music videos that can be seen on country music television networks. This album deserves 5 and 1/2 stars on a scale of 1 to 5.

worst of the totally country series.......2006-05-11
Can't recommend this one. I am a huge fan of country music especially the new stuff. Not this collection. Where is George Strait? Where is Gary Allan? Not even the best from Dirks Bentley. Save your money on this one. Miranda Lambert is hardly on the charts. Why does she have a selection let alone being first on the album?
It Just Keeps Getting Better.......2006-04-17
The fifth issue of the Totally Country series delivers another great set of recent country hits that are frequently broadcast on the radio. Many of these hits were also made into videos that can be seen on country music TV networks.
The album begins with songs by two new female country artists: Miranda Lambert sings a high-energy song about ditching love after it has gone bad in "Kerosene"; Gretchen Wilson warns a female rival about not getting involved with her man, or else, in "Homewrecker". Some fast-paced new style songs include Dierks Bentley's "How Are You Doing", a discussion about how it feels after a broken relationship; Lonestar's "You're Like Comin' Home"; Jason Aldine's "Hicktown", a dance song about old-fashioned country fun; and newcomer Keith Anderson's "XXL", a caricature about an extra large boy as he grows up and experiences adulthood as a very big man. More traditional sounding fast-tempo songs are Sara Evan's "Suds In The Bucket", a story about a country girl growing up and leaving home - to the dismay of her parents; and veteran Craig Morgan's "Redneck Yacht Club", a party song characterized by a banjo and sawing fiddle in the background. A couple of heavy ballads are "Help Somebody" by the duo Van Zant (brothers who are former members of Southern rock groups Lynard Skynard and 38 Special); and "You Do Your Thing" by the Kentucky duo Montgomery Gentry, a song about rugged self-will and self-determination.
Country music blends its sound with hip-hop and rap in "Coming To Your City" by the new duo Big & Rich; and in "I Play Chicken With The Train" by newcomer Cowboy Troy. In the Big & Rich song, a fiddle provides the sign that this is primarily a Country & Western hit rather than traditional hip-hop. The subject matter in the rhythmic Cowboy Troy song gives clear indication that this is also a country song. These two extremely modern songs are balanced on this disc by two very traditional country style songs: Blake Shelton does a remake of Conway Twitty's "Goodbye Time", about a marital breakup; and Ray Scott sings in a baritone reminiscent of the late Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash in "My Kind Of Music". This song could easily be misattributed to Waylon Jennings because of the accompanying music and rhythm.
This album ends with three soft ballads: "It's Getting Better All the Time" by Brooks & Dunn, a description about recovery after a breakup; the poignant "If Heaven" by Andy Griggs; and a story about a disabled boy in "God's Will" by Martina McBride. These last songs balance out the faster, more energetic material in the earlier part of this collection.

Love it.......2007-01-10
Have had this for a while now and never get tired of listening to it. Great selection for all country fans.
Just OK.......2007-01-09
This was for my husband, and he didn't care for it. I am not a huge country fan, but I tolerate it, and this was barely tolerable.
Totally Country , Vol. 4.......2006-07-04
Verry good Various Artists. And a Verry good asourtment of hits.
Beach Balls, Boots, and Other Good Stuff.......2006-05-11
This is the fourth release of the "Totally Country" series, which offers a package of 17 relatively new country hits (relatively new at the time the album first became available) that were frequently played on the radio. Most of these songs were on Billboard's country singles chart the preceding year (2003).
This album starts out with Alan Jackson's fast-paced "That'll Be Alright", a semi-traditional dance song with fiddle in the background. Gretchen Wilson follows with her debut hit "Redneck Woman", a bouncy, kick-it-up introduction to what she is all about. Much later on is "Heaven" by the new group Los Lonely Boys, a mellow rhythm-and-blues style country hit.
Several of these songs deal with guy losing his girl and having trouble coping with the aftermath. Clay Walker vividly describes a severe case of insomnia after his girlfriend leaves him in the melancholic "I Can't Sleep"; Joe Nichols paints his girl's departure as the devil in "Brokenheartsville"; and George Strait presents a remake of Bruce Robison's "Desperately", a tale about despair after his lover abandons him. Both of these versions are excellent, and they are both popular in Texas. Check them out side-by-side and compare them.
The slow-tempo song "Let's Be Us Again" by Lonestar, is a plea by the couple to get back together and try to understand each other after having some difficulties. Another slow song about relationships is the more positive "Little Moments" by Brad Paisley, where little imperfections and quirks are the things that make marriage worthwhile. Sara Evans performs a high-energy song about these acceptable imperfections in "Perfect". Parent-child relationships are covered in a gentle sounding "Tough Little Boys" by Gary Allan and the semi-traditional "Help Pour Out The Rain" by Buddy Jewell. There is also the timely soldier ballad "Letters From Home" by John Michael Montgomery.
The hillbilly pop/dance hit "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" by Big & Rich is an attention-getting item that is a good pick in honkytonks. Get out your boots and Stetson hats and party to this one. Montgomery Gentry's "Hell Yeah" is another favorite accompaniment to wild parties or downtown bars. This track depicts what goes on during these events. Just don't let your own party get out of control like the one in MG's video of this song. Things are toned down in Toby Keith's "I Love This Bar", where he lists all the positive aspects of the place: the patrons, the dancing, "no cover charge, come as you are", lack of dress code. Of course, there is no mention of chicken wire to protect the singer from all the horseplay that frequently occurs in this type of establishment.
In "Some Beach" Blake Shelton performs a humorous reggae-styled poem describing the frustrations of dealing with people's rudeness or lack of compassion and his desire to retreat from it all by going to a quiet tropical island. Kenny Chesney already has found such a place where "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems" is the policy in this island song.
All the tracks in this album are great. They come in a variety of styles and all were played on country music stations and many were also seen in videos on CMT or GAC. It is likely that they will be included in country music rotations for a long time. This album deserves 6 stars but gets just 5 because the scale only goes that high.
I think this is great.......2005-11-06
I happen to listen to all kinds of music and I agree with the person before me on the excellence of this compilation. I heard it in my dads truck and I thought this was just a great collection, I "rocked" to it while helping a buddy move to his new place.

A good collection........2007-02-12
The "Totally Country" series of CDs include a selection of music which represent what is happening with country music today. Each selection is a good song, usually a hit, and not a "B" side performance. Country fans will love these CDs.
Hmm..........2005-02-14
Mainstream "country" is pretty much all watered-down crap these days, so this CD naturally doesn't appeal to me. However, the one surpisingly bright spot on this otherwise dull compilation album is "I Want You to Want Me" by Dwight Yoakam. Kudos to whoever decided to put him on this CD, because it shows that at least SOMEONE in the corporate Nashville music industry has real, honest-to-God taste in good country music.
Save yourself a few bucks and buy a Dwight Yoakam CD instead. Now THAT'S quality listening.
Totally Country, Finally.......2004-06-08
1. Only In America - (5/5) This is a great song and a nice message. It's not neccessarily like Toby Keith and Darryl Worrley's "worship the US" songs (although i like those to, hehe) yet simply a song that points out the positives in the good 'ol USA.
2. She Couldn't Change Me - (5/5) Montgomery Gentry is one of the best new country acts...Then I found out they weren't even knew! I hope their newly acquired fame lasts, because they release the funnest songs. I got their CD "My Town" and, with the exception of "Speed", the other 2 singles from this aren't even some of the best!
3. With Me - (4/5) It gets boring to me. Like another reviewer said, the fiddle adds a nice touch. Otherwise, I like some of their other songs, like "I'm Already There", "Walkin' in Memphis" and their newest one better. But I guess this was their recent one, at the time of the release.
4. Without You - (4/5) I'm not a huge fan of Dixie Chicks, except for "Travelling Soldier", but this was a nice song. I don't listen to it often, because the lead singer's voice annoys me, but when I do listen to it's nice.
5. On A Night Like This - (5/5) a little overplayed, but a cool song that a lot of girls, especially teenagers/early 20s, can relate to.
6. I Lost It - (5/5) I can listen to Kenny all day. His voice isn't remarkable, but it's distinguishing and he hasn't released a bad song in his entire career. Just another song to add to my Kenny collection :P Very pretty song that shows Kenny's sensitive side, as he professes his love and shows that he's not afraid to show his emotions.
7. Angels In Waiting - (3/5) I only like the chorus. The chorus is AWESOME, but I think the rest of the song is kind of bland. That may be because I'm just not a fan of hers, but the chorus earned all those points. Which is a rarity-usually the chorus is the worst part.
8. Born To Fly - (3/5) I'm SO sick of this song. To this day, it remains somewhat overplayed on my local country station (KICKS 101.5). Luckily, it's starting to die down. But I was never crazy about this song. THe beginning is the kind that you hate but it gets stuck in your head, anyway.
9. Austin - (5/5) This song, although not as popular, is better than his 2002/2003 song "The Baby". Really pretty, and in story form.
10. One Voice - (5/5) I love Billy. He's so talented. This, even, isn't the best song of his. "Oklahoma" and "Elisabeth" are easily better. His first 2 albums are better than his more recent one. This is a pretty song, about our violent culture.
11. Where The Blacktop Ends - (4/5) I don't really like Keith Urban that much, except for "Raining on Sunday" but this is a fun song.
12. One More Day - (5/5) very pretty song that anyone who's lost someone can relate to. I probably played this to death after a friend of mine, Nathan, died earlier in the school year.
13. It's A Great Day To Be Alive - (5/5) Fun song. It is a bit overplayed, but it's a nice, feel-good song.
14. I Want You To Want Me - (1/5) err obviously, this isn't my style. I'm more into contemporary country...so I didn't take to this song. The background music is obnoxious.
15. The Little Girl - (5/5) I've loved this song since I first heard it. It goes along with "The 11th COmmandment" by Collin Raye but with a different perspective/background.
16. Buy Me A Rose - (4/5) I always thought of Kenny Rogers as an old-time singer, so I was surprised that I liked this song. I'm glad I gave it a chance isntead of being an ignorant..yeah ^_~
17. There You Are - (5/5) Martina is an amazing singer. Second, in female standings, only to Reba. Another beautiful song, although not as good as "Concrete Angels" and "To All the Girls".
I think this CD was lacking some essentials to a totally country CD. Reba McEntire, for example, is a great you just don't exclude. I wouldn't have minded if they had put an older song. I hope the newer TC includes "Someone", or w/e her most recent one is called.
Most of the songs on this CD are quite good, so I gave it five stars. Sorry this was so long ^__^
Great Stuff.......2003-09-13
It's not often you find a CD with 17 of the very best selections. This is one of those special buys that you are destined to play over and over. I made a copy to keep from wearing out the original. The selection of songs, themes, and styles is varied, yet they blend well enough together to keep you singing along. I discovered some new favorites after just one listen. Even if you are not a die-hard country fan you will enjoy this CD, I did.
Beverly J Scott author of RIGHTEOUS REVENGE and RUTH FEVER
So good!.......2003-02-19
I found this CD and had to buy it. All these great hits in one place? How could I pass it up? This CD is great to listen to because it has such a variety. A CD no true country fan should be without!

A Great Bunch of Country Treats.......2007-06-30
Once again, a package of recently released (at the time this album first became available) country hits that are considered great arrives on the market shelf. In general, many of these songs sound relatively traditional, or neotraditional and deal with typical country themes. Give the rapid turnover in radio airplay nowadays, some of these tracks are played infrequently on mainstream country radio lately, even though they are no more than five to six years old at this time. Fortunately, the producers of this album captured these hits in a collection that the fan can listen to as often as he/she would like to, preventing these gems from slipping into the forgotten oblivion.
Story songs are abundant in this collection. Travis Tritt presents "Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde", a bluesy poem about a man and a woman trying to rip off some cash. In "The Best Day", George Strait gives a soft traditional sounding chapter-by-chapter account of a young man and his relationship with his father as he grows from childhood to adulthood. In "She Was", Mark Chesnutt also delivers a parent-child story in chapter form: about a mother as told by her son, in soft traditional country sound. Another traditional, soft-sounding country song is "Life Happened" by Tammy Cochran, in which a woman tells about how major plans are diverted by life's events. "The Impossible" by Joe Nichols, yet another gentle and traditional track, is about how the unexpected events in life seem striking and fascinating to a boy. Finally, "Ol' Red" by Blake Shelton is a bluesy, humorous story of a prison guard dog, and a prisoner's creative, clever method of escape using the dog to assist him (ironically to the dog's usual behavior) in his plan.
Love and romantic songs are also plentiful here. Slow-paced and ballad type love songs include "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out" by Chris Cagle, and "The One" by Gary Allan. Moderately-paced, yet relatively gentle songs are the religiously-themed "But For The Grace Of God" by Keith Urban, and "That's When I Love You " by Phil Vassar. Somewhat more uptempo love songs such as the bouncy "Wrapped Around" by Brad Paisley and the neocountry-flavored "Just What I Do" by Trick Pony round out the happy romantic section of this album.
The downside of love is also explored in "I'm Moving On", a melancholy ballad by Rascal Flatts that deals with the aftermath of a breakup; the high-energy "I Don't Want You To Go" by Carolyn Dawn Johnson; and the percussion-laden "Ashes By Now" by Lee Ann Womack.
In a theme frequently explored in country music, a down-home song found here is "My Town" by Montgomery Gentry, a lively song about one's home town, background singers cheer the home town as they accompany the principal singers. Another common theme found in country music is drinking, as presented in the dance track "Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo" by Tracy Byrd. In this performance, the popular beverage is consumed in a game-like fashion, as told by the singer as he downs one drink after another (and describing the effect the alcohol has on him after a given successive number of drinks, in stepwise fashion). This party song adds a twist to this package of country hits.
Overall, this collection is a nice package that the listener can find handy whenever he/she wants to enjoy the great sound of neo-traditional country music. This album deserves 6 stars on a scale of 1 to 5.
GREAT COUNTRY CD.......2007-04-23
THIS WAS THE FIRST COUNTRY CD I EVER GOT. I THINK I GOT IT BACK IN 2004. THIS CD IS GREAT FROM BEGINNING TO END. EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT A COUNTRY FAN YOU'LL STILL LOVE THIS CD. I HAVE A FEW FAVORITE SONGS ON THIS CD- "ITS JUST WHAT I DO", "WRAPPED AROUND", "THE IMPOSSIBLE", "THE ONE", AND "OL' RED". THESE SONGS ARE THE BEST ON THE CD IN MY OPINION. I HATED COUNTRY MUSIC BEFORE I HEARD THIS CD. NOW COUNTRY IS ALL I LISTEN TO. ANYWAY JUST GET THE CD YOU WONT REGRET IT.
Ageless - takes you right back to where you were in 2002!.......2007-03-03
It is now March 2007, and after all these years, I am struck by the hold that the music on this CD still has on me. These are country tracks that compelled me to be the CD back then, and now, looking back almost five years later, they are still among my favorites.
From the nostalagia and reflection invoked by tracks like "Life happened" and "The Impossible" to the grit of songs like "Ol' Red", these are all timeless country classics.
If you are one of those people who like country not only for the music, but also for the lyrics, that touch you as if the artists' stories are own, then these CD is for you...
Enjoyed the compilation.......2006-08-03
I had resisted picking this CD up for some time, now I'm sorry I didn't do it sooner. I liked all the tracks and the quality was good as always.
Awesome.......2004-08-09
If you like at least 3-5 songs on this CD you will like all of them because i like about 7 and i wasnt sure about the others but all of them are awesome

Customer Reviews:
No Soul - No Beauty.......2007-01-01
If you prefer your country music formulaic and dull then this series, and most of what comes out of Nashville and is featured on the Country Music Awards is for you. This is the Big Mac and Whopper of Country Music. You can do better, but it'll take a little effort.
They Just Keep Cranking Them Out.......2006-09-26
Here comes the third release of the "Totally Country" series, a collection of 17 relatively recent country hits (fairly new at the time that this album first became available, in 2003). Generally, these songs were popular on the radio and on music videos in the past couple of years immediately preceding this album's breaking out onto the shelves.
This is a package with a variety of themes which might be expected in modern country music. The album begins with Tim McGraw's "Unbroken", an upbeat song about a man who is happy that his new lover has fixed his heart that had previously been broken. It starts out with a distinct piano intro. Next, his wife, Faith Hill follows with her sad power ballad "Cry", where the woman asks her lover to cry about the lies he told and the heartache he has has caused her. (Of course, this is fictional here for Faith Hill and Tim McGraw).
As is to be expected, story songs can be found here in this country package. Randy Travis presents "Three Wooden Crosses", a traditional country song with a Christian theme, in an inspirational story told by a preacher. Blake Shelton sings about being the youngest child and his relationship with his mother in "The Baby", another traditional country track. Later, Dusty Drake sings a very sad ballad "One Last Time", about a guy making a phone call from a doomed airplane, telling his wife goodbye for the last time.
In contrast, there are some upbeat, happy songs here. Martina McBride sings a mid-tempo, "new" styled country song "Blessed", another Christian-themed piece, about how she is blessed with a wonderful life, home, husband and kids. Next is "Love You Out Loud" by Rascal Flatts, a very contemporary style country hit about a guy who is so overjoyed with love that he wants to tell the world. Immediately following that is "Beautiful Mess" by Diamond Rio, another contemporary hit about a guy who is in love; who is "addicted" to his lover that he has turned into a mess that cannot function, can't get enough, and finds nothing he would rather do. In this selection, which borders on a pop sound and theme, he seems almost like a nonfunctional drug addict. Later, there is "On A Mission", by the group Trick Pony, a lively dance track with a flavor of 50s or early 60s rock/pop. This is a happy song about a woman who plans to "cut loose" after work and on the weekend, "hitting every honkytonk bar to have a good time". Somewhat more mid-tempo is the new style country/pop hit "Was That My Life" by Jo Dee Messina, in which she reflects on her philosophy of life, her good experiences with her family and husband, going through life only once and noticing how fast it is going by. Another moderately-paced song is "American Child" by Phil Vassar, telling about an American boy as he grows up and has become a singer, becomes a father, and reflects on his grandfather who was killed in World War 2. This is a rather personal-sounding story, with a 3/4 rhythm.
In keeping with country tradition, breakup songs are presented here, too. In "Not A Day Goes By" by Lonestar, a slow power ballad with orchestra in the background, a guy thinks everyday about the girl who left him, how he misses her, and how she's gone but thoughts about her remain. Montgomery Gentry presents "Speed", a mid-tempo selection about a guy looking for a fast car with which he can drive as quickly as possible to get away from his girl and her memory. Leann Rimes sings the country/pop crossover hit "Life Goes On", in how she cannot go back, regrets that she was with an undesirable guy, but realizes that she must move on and will be stronger afterward.
Love ballads help to round out this collection here. Travis Tritt sings "Strong Enought To Be Your Man", a neo-traditional ballad about a man who promises to stay with his wife and reassures her that he will never leave her. Kellie Coffey performs the slow romantic "When You Lie Next To Me", a neo-traditional piece with a piano and orchestra in the background. Finally, Andy Griggs sings "Tonight I Wanna Be Your Man", a slow, soft romantic number with a new traditionalist flavor, in which the man wants to go from being the husband to just being her man. This love song provides a nice slow ending to this album.
Totally Country 3.......2006-07-04
Very good various artist country CD. It has a good assortment of hit songs.
Well Worth The Money.......2006-04-08
I liked the songs and music on this CD when I first got it. But after I got the lyrics to every song, I liked the CD even more! The music is great, and this CD has a good mixture of song types.
+1/2 -- Brimming with modern-country hits.......2003-10-15
Drawing from the catalogs of Warner Brothers, Sony, BMG, and Curb, volume three in this series collects seventeen modern country hits from the past couple of years. This is a great way for those who love the current Nashville sound to get a quick fix of songs that topped the charts and spent time in heavy video rotation on CMT.
For the most part, these are all middle-of-the-road, crossover-styled tunes. There's an element of twang, and the lyrics, though not plumbing the depths of human behavior of yesteryear's country songs, retain some downhome sentiments. What really makes these songs distinct are the great voices. Whether or not you're pleased with the centrist leanings of Faith Hill and Martina McBride, there's no arguing that they're both enormously talented singers.
Highlights include Randy Travis' first #1 hit in nearly a decade, the Christian-themed "Three Wooden Crosses," Blake Shelton's steel-lined weeper, "The Baby," Tim McGraw's power-country-pop "Unbroken," and Phil Vassar's proud-to-be-born-in-the-USA, "American Child." The inclusion of LeAnn Rimes' passable teen-pop tune, "Life Goes On," is a mystery. Is it considered country because Rimes once-upon-a-time recorded country music?

Customer Reviews:
Awful, but better than TH 2005.......2005-08-03
TH, you could've done better. Only good artists are Mis-Teeq, Ryan Cabrera, The Darkness, Alanis Morisette, and Jet. I guess I'll give it 2-stars. I guess I'm generous.
And since people are complaining about Ciara and Willa Ford, I'll add to it. Willa Ford Sucks, and Ciara is so-so.
So, there you go. Run to the CD store and get a copy of the new Natasha Bedingfield album.
Wrong.......2005-06-16
No, hon, Ciara did NOT have three #1 hits (not in the U.S., at least). Most of them peaked at #2, mainly because of the monstrous momentum of 50 Cent's "Candy Shop" and Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl," which were both at #1 for quite a while. Ciara never passed either one of those two songs.
...Geez, are there Willa Ford executives on this site???.......2005-06-01
There are so many people here who just seem to think the world of Willa Ford....is that you, Willa...??? Either that or her producers or promoters or something. Or maybe the same lone obsessed fan posting the same crap over and over. There are NOT that many people who like her. And FYI you are an ignorant MORON if you think "1, 2 Step" was some 'Disney radio song,' Ciara wouldn't touch Disney radio with a ten foot pole, she has had three big hits now (Goodies, 1, 2 Step, Oh) all of which seem to only play on R&B/hip hop radio, though. She is pretty much the hottest thing in R&B and hip-hop (at least as far as the female divas go), and not to say that I adore her, but she's pretty damn popular. Anyways, this TH collection is pretty bad, probably the worst one so far. peace out!
totally hits: behind the music that sucks!.......2005-05-15
It was going well...but once it got to part 2 of 2002 they chose some wrong songs, and by this one...they failed! The singles by Mis-Teeq, Brandy, Monica, Ryan Cabrera, Alicia Keys, & Kevin Lyttle were the only hits!
2005 is good....the cd guys who flops!.......2005-05-10
and I thought 2004 part 2 was bad...totally hits 2005 is horrible! I can see letting tyler hilton be on since he is a new artist...but "1, 2 step?" that was like some annoying disney radio song. I looked her up just to find out she is the 1-hit-wonder who sang 1 good song "goodies."
I am happy T.I. is on here.
totally hits seems to be addicted to flops!

Sophisticated People Have Art Auctions..........2005-03-29
Rednecks have yard sales. This is yet another solid album from the king of redneck comedy, Jeff Foxworthy. This guy had some very interesting toys (ball-and-paddle), and he knows a lot about the redneck culture. Buy this. You will not be let down.
MAJOR STUPID ATTACK!!!!!.......2004-01-05
HORRIBLE full off cuss and stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jeff is funny, but................2002-05-29
I have a stack of Jeff's recordings on cassette (I have finally entered the 21st century and am collecting comedy on CD).. Jerry Clower introduced us to the joys of comedy recordings on road trips.... Jeff can be really hilarious, and I love his work, but I get really irritated at the way he (or his producers, or whomever is guilty of this) changes the titles of the routines on different recordings, leading you to believe you are getting new material when you aren't... When I was stocking up on CDs for this recent trip I didn't get any of his older stuff and instead bought "Totally Committed" and the group effort "Blue Collar Tour"...Both were highly entertaining, but I was angered by the fact that Jeff's part on the Blue Collar CD was what I had just heard on the Totally Committed CD... Another thing about Jeff's recordings...I would buy different cassettes at truck stops along the way, and much to my disappointment, I learned that if you buy one of Jeff's recordings with the word "trucker" or "truckstop" on the cover, all it is, is one of his other recordings using a lot of swearing. The swearing doesn't offend me, but I thought I, once again, was getting new material because the playlist was changed, when all I was getting was something I'd already heard with just a bunch of bad language thrown in. The clean version was funny on its own, I guess Jeff thinks truckers aren't capable of laughing at clean humor so he made a raunchy one for them.??? Quite frankly, I think he just rips people off.... And so far, he is the only performer I have found who does that...I've got everything Jerry Clower has recorded and I've only gotten repeats on his "Best Of" and "Greatest Hits", which is to be expected, but at least he doesn't change the titles in order to cheat people!! Shame on you, Jeff!! He's hilarious...
Fresh stuff.......2002-02-18
If you like Jeff but are tired of hearing the same material repackaged, get Totally Committed. New humor in the best Foxworthy tradition.
MAN JEFF ROCKS.......2001-06-03
I JUST GOT THIS CD AND IT IS FUNNY AS (heck) IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MIND. MY BROTHER DIED OF GIGILING FITS WHILE HE WAS ON THE FLOOR (AT LEAST HE DIED HAPPY) :(

Nunn Better!!!.......2005-01-02
Totally Guacamole is GPN at his best...a terrific intro to folks who inexcusably are unaware of this giant talent! Just about every song is a winner--tuneful, clever, memorable. My favorites on this album are Purty Boys and Piece of the Ryman...only because I've already heard and heard and heard many of the others so often. Worth buying, even you've got most of the other songs on other albums!
A-OOOOOOOOOO.......2000-01-30

Yeeeeeeeee-haaaaaaaaaaa!.......1999-08-05
Every time I'm having a bad day I break out Totally Guacamole and after I get through Meet Me Down in Corpus, life is good again. 'Nuff said!
A GREAT ALBUM!!!!.......1999-06-29
This a great album that has many songs that Gary likes to play at his concerts. If you have the opportunity to see Gary live, go for it, he is well worth the effort! I saw him in Corpus Christi last Saturday night and had a wonderful time. He loves his fans and will sign anything you give him and had time to chat with everyone during the breaks. This album is very south TX and has a mexican flavor, "Macho Man from Taco Land" was a riot! I also like his "home with the armadillo" CD, it is a classic.
Homesick for Texas? Add this one to your collection........1999-06-03
In this album, Gary P. Nunn jumps from raucous Tejano rhythms to sad, sentimental ballads - with some Bob Wills-style Texas Swing mixed in. If you like early Jimmy Buffett albums, you'll probably like this CD. As a listener who has lived in South Texas, I can say that Totally Guacamole truly captures the eclectic South Texas cultural atmosphere.
