About the Artist
Nate Pearce was born in Fresno CA, in 1972 and began his singing career at a very young age. Nate began performing in parks and local restaurants by the age of four. He was involved in a small community theater group in elementary school and junior high and involved himself in choir and band throughout his high school years, beginning to build his destiny to become a great artist in the country music industry.
When Nate was eight years old, he knew that music was the path he was going to take in his life. Nate began listening to all genre's of music, picking up the "soul" of Blues and the hard "edge" of Rock-n-Roll music from his uncle and other relatives early on in his life, giving Nate a very diverse feel of music that would in no time would be flowing through his blood. However, Nate had always admired and was heavily influenced by all of the Great Country artists, and started emulating everyone, from Hank Williams to George Strait and Dwight Yoakum.
After Nate graduated from High School, he went through several auditions looking for the band that to him would be the greatest band in the history of country music. Nate soon found that most musicians were unreliable and had a very poor sense of initiative. After a few months and let down after let down Nate finally started his own band and called it "Down South", performing Country and Southern Rock covers. This band was Nate's starting point at performing in a "giging band" situation. The band played for six months solid but had too many personal problems to work out, and inevitably broke up. Nate dredged on.
Shortly after the break up of the band Nate met a man named Gary Tracy and, little to his knowledge, this man would have the biggest musical impact on his life. Nate and Gary started a band called "Riff Raff" and took the Central Valley of California by storm, playing from Bakersfield to Sacremento, and developing a good following all along the way. This band would perform every weekend and quite a few week nights too, playing everything from Country, to Blues, to good old Rock and Roll.
This band was destined for success, so they thought. There would be a terrible car accident that took the life of the young man who played drums. It was hard for the band to get it together again.
After auditioning several drummers, the band would never find the nitch nor the emotional bond they once had. The tragic end to the life a a good man would also be the end of the band.
Nate then moved to Hawaii and started another band called "Renegade". Renegade was the hottest Country band on the island of Oahu, playing all the hot spots, and doing several benefit shows for the local charities like the The American Heart association, and Toys for Tots, The Band was tight and good. They opened for several acts including Billy Ray Cyress and The Dixie Chicks. Unfortunately Nate was missing home.
After moving back to California Nate began to write and co-write original material and started "The Nate Pearce Band". It has been a long hard road for Nate but isn't it always.
