This CD is pretty good. It has some nice classical guitar music. I like disk #1 better than disk #2, but I guess that is just a personal preference.

    I read a review of these guys and decided to buy the disk. Great band, great tunes, and the lead singer Kip McCloud has a bourbon-soaked kind of voice that could melt an iceberg. Was totally surprised that more of the Americana world hasn't latched onto Lucky 57 and expounded their praises.

        5 out of 5 stars Silky smooth music for the true music lover........2006-08-08

        Everything about this band is artfully and beautifully done. The unusual combination of classical guitarist, cellist, and breathy, sweet female vocals mix well together, producing soothing music to make even a rush-hour romp on the 101 around Phoenix seem tranquil.

        Obviously, this music is the work of trained musicians who took the time to sit down before a score and thoughtfully compose each instrumental and vocal part. It is lovely, inspired music, although a little estrogen-heavy at times.

        For now, it seems the band is localized in northern California. I can only hope that they begin touring outside their state soon!
