Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars John Egans "Paperhalo" is a must have Blues~Americana CD.......2004-02-06

After his first locally (Houston, Texas) acclaimed record "Gin Diaries", Egan cut the songs on Paperhalo down to their bare essentials. His poignant and sometimes dark lyrics are sewn into moving melodies and driving rhythms that draw the listener into another time and place. Songs like "Lead Suit", Convicts Prayer", and "Waiting for a girl" show the depth of his story telling style of writing. Hard to categorize, but blues Americana might be a good start. Self recorded & and produced this album is a testament to what one person can create. This sometimes hard to find record is definitely worth the price of admission. If you can find a copy - buy it!
