Editorial Reviews
Lee Barrish, Cleveland Country Magazine
"Her voice is strong, expressive and quite unlike anything you'll hear on (country) radio these days."

Product Description
Stacie Collins has blended the traditional country sounds from her Bakersfield heritage with the rootsy rock and blues that influenced her as a teen; the result is a sound that some are calling "Western Beat." Stacie co-wrote and produced every song on her twangy debut CD that owes more to Merle and Buck than Shania or Faith. Collins is anything but the current country fair. She's a singer, songwriter and one mean harmonica player. Her voice is strong, expressive and unlike anything you'll hear on country radio these days.

5 out of 5 stars Reminds me of another Collins..... Tommy.......2001-01-17

The Bakersfield sound is all over this disc, not just Merle and Buck, but the driving heartbreak of Wynn Stewart and the songwriting sophistication of Tommy Collins. Much as Buck and Merle got their starts playing with and learning from these late 50's talents, Stacie's sound takes their distinctive style and expands it. Shame that country radio doesn't pay attention anymore. To anyone who recognizes the name Dale Watson; you need this disc. To those who don't but wish they could find someone else who blends old and new like Dwight, you just did.
