Gutsy and Great.......2007-02-26

I stumbled onto Kristi Rose after reading about Fats Kaplan in a guitar magazine. One thing led to another (as it often does on Amazon.com) and I found myself looking at this CD, then going to Kristi's site ([...]). I took a chance on this CD primarily for the first track, Johnny Guitar. That is a wonderful track, just a perfect take on that song. But there are many, many fine songs on this CD and most are written by Kristi Rose. This has shot up to one of a handful of my favorite albums, and I enjoy a wide range of music. Kristi's voice is fantastic, and the musicianship of everyone involved is excellent.

I wish I lived near Nashville so that I could go and here Kristi and Fats perform live. As it is, I'll have to be content ordering "Kristi Rose - Live in Holland". Too bad I can't get that on Amazon, but at least one can find it on Miles of Music.

The album is absolutely fabulous, worth every penny (or rather Euro, around here)Only pitty thereßs no tour to Germany as far as i know.

the original kristi rose and the midnight walkers is a great album - this one is nothing like it. not worth the money. has none of the excitement and high energy of the original.

This CD is incredible. I had the opportunity to see Kristi and the men of Pulp Country recently. Going to the show, I had no idea who she was, or what "pulp country" was...she blew us away. Her vocals are amazing...coupled with her brash lyrics and the great musicians in her band-including Fats, who is absolutely awesome...this CD will not disappoint. I'm not a huge fan of country, but I make an exception for Kristi Rose. My favorite tracks are "All is Gone" and "Come Back Tomorrow." This CD is worth every penny.

OK, Kristi is my aunt, so I guess I'm a little bit biased, but I honestly think her album is fabulous. I don't listen to country music on a regular basis, mainly because none of it is as good as this. My favorite track is Johnny Guitar because of the great way she uses her voice at the end. Check out the back cover, too. There's a funny little page from a mock biography of Kristi. You can't read all of it, but what's there is pretty hilarious. And remember, America needs three things: God, Guts, and KRISTI ROSE!
