Herbie Remington has long been acknowledged as one of the very best steel players in the world. His fame began as one of the first steel players with Bob Wills and has established himself as a true master of Western Swing and Hawaiian styles. He shifts effortlessly between non-pedal (lap steel) and pedal steel. Unlike most of today's pedal steelers, who use the E9th tuning with lots of shrill whines and twangs, Herbie plays mostly in the A6th tuning with lots of beautiful full chord transitions and a smoothness rarely heard on the steel guitar.

In this album, Herbie brings together an incredibly smooth group of musicians, including sax, lead guitar,piano, fiddles, horns, etc. to produce a collection of Big Band classics that after hearing you just can't get out of your head! Even if you think you're not a steel guitar fan, you may change your mind after hearing Herbie's beautifully smooth rendition of some of the best music from the 20th century!!

Herb has 2 other companion albums in the "Steeling" series,(Steeling Dreams and Steeling Love) that are just as good!
