Customer Reviews:
An easy listening good time........2000-11-24
I purchased this album after hearing Tom Connors on the radio. The style of music is a simple one-man-an-a-guitar style. It is a bit like campfire music, very folksy. Many of these songs could be done as sing alongs. The music is very Canadian and people unfamilar with Canada might miss some of the references. The content ranges from oral history to humorous love/breakup songs. Sometime the lyrics are just plain goofy but all in all this is a great album and alot of fun. The simplicity of the music and easily understood lyrics are its greatest strengths.
