Reissued 1974 album. One of the best soul singers from the 60's R&B scene, Jess ranks alongside Robert Palmer and Joe Cocker. After quitting the Alan Bowen band he produced several fine albums including the 1974 debut. Part recorded in New Orleans with The Meters and produced by Allen Toussaint, the set includes several songs with Toussaint on piano and Leo Nocentelli on guitar. The London dates were with drummers Richard Bailey and Frees Simon Kirke.
