It's no coincidence that Michael Bublé's new album starts with just his voice and some fingersnaps on "The Best Is Yet to Come," a song made famous by Frank Sinatra. The Canadian smoothie looks longingly towards early-'60s Vegas, an impression quickly reinforced when a boisterous horn section makes its grand entrance, about 20 seconds into the track. That Bublé means business is confirmed by the second cut, a fast-paced take on Henry Mancini's "It Had Better Be Tonight," and of course by the CD's very title, another song identified with Sinatra as his cockiest. There are just a few sidesteps from the retro formula that's served Bublé so well so far: a languid duet with Brazilian star Ivan Lins on the bossa "Wonderful Tonight," a gospel choir on "That's Life." Interestingly, Bublé co-wrote the best of those sidesteps, "Everything," a Norah Jones-esque number that alluringly harks back to sunny '70s pop. It's also the only song on the album produced by Bob Rock (best known for his work with Metallica), sending out a strong signal that Bublé should reach out to unlikely collaborators more often. --Elisabeth Vincentelli

It is not just the timbre of Norah Jones's voice that is mature beyond her 22 years. Her assured phrasing and precise time are more often found in older singers as well. She is instantly recognizable, blending shades of Billie Holiday and Nina Simone without sounding like anyone but herself. Any way you slice it, she is a singer to be reckoned with. Her readings of the Hank Williams classic "Cold Cold Heart" and Hoagy Carmichael's "The Nearness of You" alone are worth the price of the CD. Jones's own material, while not bad, pales a bit next to such masterpieces. They might have fared better had she and producer Arif Mardin opted for some livelier arrangements, taking better advantage of brilliant sidemen such as Bill Frisell, Kevin Breit, and Brian Blade; or if the tunes had simply been given less laconic performances. Jones has all the tools; what will come with experience and some careful listening to artists like J.J. Cale and Shirley Horn is the knack of remaining low-key without sounding sleepy--sometimes less is not, in fact, more. --Michael Ross

        Album Description

Four years since his last studio album, and following up on his highest charting radio single ever ("Personal Jesus", from Lest We Forget), Marilyn Manson returns with "Eat Me, Drink me". Art openings, soundtrack appearances, and personal circumstance have grabbed headlines for Manson in recent months, setting the stage for the release of Eat Me, Drink Me, which is unquestionably the artist's most personal statement yet. Always the provocateur, in what may be the ultimate subversion of the code of aggro-rock, the songs are immediately catchy - all jagged guitar hooks, anthemic choruses, with an overlying glam-rock sheen. Lyrically Manson has never been more riveting, seemingly having enough to draw from in his own life and from society at large to present a fresh, snarling vision.

Thanks to a fortuitous intersection of talent and fate, 22-year-old Josh Groban hasn't finished his senior year in performing arts school but has already released his sophomore effort on a major major label. Fans of the young vocal phenom's debut will find much to enthrall them here, even if it nudges the singer closer to the center of producer/mentor David Foster's MOR pop sensibilities. Eschewing much of its predecessor's more overt classic-lite pretensions and pop-rock covers for a slate of dramatic, Eurocentric ballads that serve as a showcase for the singer's inviting baritone, Groban shrewdly positions himself as the American alternative to the Bocelli-Watson crossover axis. "Caruso" may find the singer falling short of its operatic inspiration, but "Oceano" and "My Confession" quickly showcase his true dramatic range (which seems to all but yearn for a bona fide Broadway musical challenge), while a vocal take of Bacalov's graceful "Il Postino" theme uses classical virtuoso Joshua Bell's violin flourishes to good effect. To his credit, Groban displays some promising efforts at songwriting collaboration on the bittersweet "Per Te" and "Remember When It Rains," while the ambient/ethnic soundscape of Deep Forest's "Never Let Go" offers a teasing alternative to the record's otherwise melodramatic production formula. Groban has found commercial triumph via Foster's mentoring, but there remains a nagging sense here that he hasn't truly pushed himself as an artist--yet. --Jerry McCulley

This fourth effort from the soft-rock-masquerading-as-country band Rascal Flatts moved more than 721,000 copies its first week out, which let the female-friendly trio rub elbows with some mighty heady company. Only four other country artists (Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks, and Tim McGraw) have rolled out numbers like that, and only 24 other acts total (including Eminem, 50 Cent, U2, and Coldplay). So what's the hook, besides Gary LeVox's wounded tenor and Joe Don Rooney's boy-band face? Clearly, it's the songs. Or it usually is. On Me and My Gang, "What Hurts the Most" is the one that'll end up on a tape loop in your head, though "Yes, I Do" memorably frames romantic yearning and regret with ersatz reggae rhythms, and the sexy "Cool Thing" does a slow burn. The problem? New producer Dann ("King of Excess") Huff bloats too many tunes with screaming, by-the-book guitars and general bombast. And despite his über success with Faith Hill and Keith Urban, Huff has never really understood what makes country, well... country. Instead, he insultingly works in a snippet of steel guitar and a couple of family lyrics--e.g., the melodramatic "Ellsworth" is meant to pull the heartstrings of anyone who's seen the cruelty of Alzheimer's--and thinks he's thrown Nashville a bone. Worse, "Backwards" boringly reworks that hoary ol' country joke "What do you get when you play a country song backwards?," the title song is a Big & Rich ripoff, and even God gets dragged in for a half-baked attempt at middle-America resonance ("He Ain't the Leavin' Kind"). C'mon now. Call these boys pop and be done with the pandering. Joe Don's famously photographed derrière got a fairer crack than this. --Alanna Nash

Their first-ever album, raw and rough and still very rock & roll. Lennon and McCartney begin to flex their writing muscles and had already scored two UK hits when this appeared, but they still relied heavily on the cover material to see them through. Their insecurity about their own abilities seems curious in hindsight since they'd pulled the title song and "I Saw Her Standing There" (with thanks to Little Richard) out of their hats. But they were an unknown quantity, still to launch a million bands and take pop music to places it had never dreamed off. A small step for four men, a giant leap for music. --Chris Nickson

Jimmy Buffett may have made his millions, but that doesn't mean that he has eased up on his workload. After releasing 33 albums, mounting grueling annual tours, and fashioning an entire industry and lifestyle out of his signature song "Margaritaville," Buffett trots out this two-CD collection. Yet, Meet Me in Magaritaville, which spans 30 years, isn't merely a retread of his long, storied career. Buffett has written two new songs for the package and re-recorded six alternative versions of fan favorites (including a moving version of "The Captain and the Kid," which he included for his ailing father, who died shortly after the album's release). He's also added two new cover songs--a spicy bossa nova version of Fred Neil's "Everybody's Talking" and the Beach Boys' "Sail on Sailor"--as well four live tracks, which shows the singer at his best, conjuring up his own Yuppie Atlantis, an idyllic place where no one has to wear shoes, the sun is always shining, the bar never closes, and Junior Mints are always available at every cinema. A must-have collection for every Parrothead (or aspiring Parrothead), if only for Buffett's track-by-track descriptions. --Jaan Uhelszki

There are worse things in life than making your acting debut on the much ballyhooed season finale of Ally McBeal, though teen operatic baritone Josh Groban doesn't seem destined to encounter them anytime soon. As the awkward high school student-client who asks the typically romance-jinxed Ally to his senior prom, Groban performed this debut album's "You're Still You" (adapted from film-composing legend Ennio Morricone's Academy Award-nominated score for Malèna, with lyrics by Linda Thompson) as a heart-tugging, literal showstopper. The young phenom was just 17 when veteran producer-writer David Foster tapped him to fill in for Andrea Bocelli at rehearsals for the 1999 Grammys, where Groban found himself suddenly dueting with Celine Dion.

Indeed, such were his fortunes that the young Foster protégé was forced to drop out of Carnegie Mellon when professional commitments--including this record--interfered. And if this collection tends to hew sometimes uncomfortably close to Foster's own MOR sonic instincts, the material offers enough challenges to display Groban's talent and the potential of his warm, mature voice: a lyrical take on another Morricone classic, "Cinema Paradiso"; melancholy readings of Don McLean's "Starry, Starry Night" and Albert Hammond's "Alejate"; masterfully dramatic takes of the Neapolitan "Alla Luca Del Sole" and "Canto Alla Vita," the latter featuring the Corrs. Many of Groban's performances here, including a neo prog-rock-opera take on Bach's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" (with Lili Haydn), seem both bigger and bolder than their precious musical frameworks, a telling hint that Grand Opera can't be far from his grasp. As said earlier, there are worse things in life. --Jerry McCulley

5 out of 5 stars Floodgates of the Heart.......2007-06-05

This CD played almost constantly in my wife's car for several years. Josh Groban's voice is so gentle and can go from gentleness to anthematic, almost operatic, textures. He sings in Italian effortlessly. The orchestration on "Cinema Paradiso" is enthralling with its emotional reach, powerful even with lyrics beyond my understanding. "To Where You Are" is one of the most gorgeous songs. Knowing how it moved my wife in the years before breast cancer proved stronger than her body, it touches me now, "Fly me up to where you are beyond the distant star I wish upon tonight to see you smile, if only for awhile to know you're there; a breath a ways to where you are." The song opens the floodgates of my heart. The Corrs were on Groban's 143 label when this release came out in 2001 and join him on the upbeat "Canto Alla Vita." Groban makes an interesting selection with Don McLean's "Vincent," polishing the melody to a fine sheen in ways that surpassed the original. Listening to Bach's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" is like being in a sonic cathedral with Groban's voice matching the grandeur of the music. With Charlotte Church on "The Prayer," Groban concludes the set with the Carole Bayer Sager/David Foster composition that makes one contemplate the eternal, "Lead us to a place, find us with your grace, give us faith so we'll be safe." Groban's first CD enhances with repeated listening by virtue of the depth of musicianship and performance. I listen to it now hearing the music that moved the one I love to tears. It does the same for me. I hope it touches you too. Bravo!

                2 out of 5 stars Disappointing..........2007-05-31

Each song he sings is special with his voice...but this CD is disjointed and grasping. Couldn'the producers put together a cohesive CD that flowed from one song to the other? This is my first Josh CD and quite frankly I'll need to think twice before purchasing a second.

5 out of 5 stars Stunning voice, beautiful orchestration, questionable mixing.......2007-05-13

All Josh Groban CD's have their strengths and weaknesses. His self-titled debut album is a contrast of rich ballads and stunning arias with a mis-guided remake of Don McClean's "Vincent". Even though it is my favorite Josh Groban, I find myself skipping the above mentioned song as well as a couple of weak (even boring) songs. Still, the strength of "Alla Luce del Sola", "Gira", "You're Still You", "Canto Alla Vita", "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring", and "The Prayer" make it a must have CD for all JG fans. Josh Groban's voice is smooth as glass, rich as chocolate mousse, deep as a mountain lake along with dead-on perfect pitch. Few others can bounce around a note - as if searching - then nail it with such perfection, confidence and authority that there never is any doubt that he was just playing with us. His falsetto is as stable as a rock and his transition to baritone seamless.

If there is any weakness to this CD it involves the mixing. While the dynamic range of this CD is astounding, the thundering crescendos, at times, eclipse the gorgeous voice we bought this CD to hear. (Josh's later CD's have largely, but not completely, corrected this problem.)

Clearly, Josh is at his best when he performs romantic ballads, operatic and Broadway musicals. Pop/techno music is a poor vehicle for displaying his professionally trained voice. (Although, "Don't Give Up" from his Awake CD nicely showcases his rich baritone as well as his emotionally satisfying falsetto.)

Closer is regarded by many to be his best CD. And while it properly displays his astounding voice, it is, in my humble opinion, filled with lovely yet forgettable songs. Perhaps they will grow on me with time.

His latest album Awake, well I just can't seem to get into it. The innocence of his first two albums is lost and replaced with preachy idealism. The eclectic nature of this album is likely to appeal to a younger audience as well as diehard Grobanites. Unfortunately, it has disappointed those who fell in love with this album.

Josh Groban by Josh Groban is the first album I have bought in a long time that I really, really like. Even more surprising since it strays so far from my rock and country tastes.

5 out of 5 stars My favorite Josh Groban cd.......2007-04-18

My musical tastes tends to the dark and aggressive side of music but sometimes I like to take the edge off with something relaxing. One of my cds I love to relax to is Josh Groban's self-titled debut album. I first discovered Josh on an episode of that dreadful "Ally McBeal" show several years ago. He sang one of the most beautiful ballads I have ever heard "To Where You Are". The song simply moved me to tears literally. I eventually bought the cd and the rest of the cd was as good as I expected. The cd is a beautiful collection of operatic style pop songs that will appeal to anyone who may not like opera music. At the time I hated opera but when I heard Josh Groban for the very first time, I started to appreciate the genre. I still don't care for some opera but for the most part I have come to tolerate and actually enjoy a good deal of the genre. My other favorite song on the album is "You're Still You" which I find to be as moving as "To Where You Are". Josh does a great job with my favorite Bach song "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring". The only weak track on the cd for me is his duet with The Corrs "Canto Alla Vita". I just couldn't get into it but otherwise great album. It is my favorite Josh Groban cd of all time.

Their fifth album, Get Behind Me Satan is the strangest and least focused effort by these unlikely garage rock superstars to date. It's also their finest, an Exile on Main Street-ish mish-mash where the sum is greater than the parts. In a market increasingly driven by singles and downloads, it's nice to be reminded how exciting an album can be, especially one where you really don't know what to expect next. There are a lot fewer pounding guitars on this album. They've largely been replaced by pounding pianos. Most songs sound like rough mixes at first; almost every song has something exceptionally loud in the mix--the guitar solo in "The Nurse," the drums in "Doorbell," everything in "Blue Orchid." After a few listens, however, it becomes clear that the group is not using the studio as an instrument so much as exposing the nuts and bolts in the process along the way.

There are some duds; the wanky blooze-rawk number "Instinct Blues" goes on way too long and it would be nice if "The Nurse" had a real chorus. Whether "Passive Manipulation" is about the wife-or-sister schtick, if the cover artwork indeed has Jack and Meg calling each other devils, and which scripture is referred to by the album's title (Matthew, Mark or Luke?): none of that matters so much as the fact that this album is strangely sprawling and obliquely ass-kicking at the same time. "Orchid" is a rockdisko sonic smash that shows how to really get rock kids on the dancefloor. Meanwhile, "Doorbell" sounds enough like the Jackson Five to totally rule, and "Forever for Her" is the best ballad Jack's written in years. The fact that some marimbas provide the driving force to "Forever" makes it all the better. --Mike McGonigal

4 out of 5 stars Progressive yet the least focused.......2007-06-21

Many times the first single can be entirely be misleading. Sometimes people will say the single is the worst song on the album while in terrible records it's actually the best and end up fooling buyers thinking the record was awesome. Not so with Get Behind Me Satan, the 5th album from the White Stripes led by duo Jack and Meg White. Now this is not a terrible record by any means, I mean it sure beats anything those pop punk dudes churn out but this isn't a record with huge commercial appeal like Elephant. Probably even less so.

The album starts out promisingly enough with "Blue Orchid" with Jack's octave-affected guitar doing a catchy riff and singing something about orchids and how old someone is. I don't know but it's a great opening track. Next is the totally weird the Nurse which is led by a dulcimer and it's just an odd track, not necessarily bad just...odd. We do have other songs like My Doorbell or the Denial Twist which are big piano-based numbers and while catchy, you kind of miss the guitars for some reason.

The rest are separated into 2 types of songs. First half is the acoustic/piano stuff like Forever For Her (Is Over For Me) and White Moon with the former being one of his better ballads while the latter has a nice piano part yet it suffers from not really having a sense of melody to latch onto outside of the piano. Take, Take, Take which is a more upbeat acoustic song is alright but the chorus is just irritating. Afterwards we get what's probably this album's We're Going to be Friends with a weirdly upbeat As Ugly as I Am which is actually quite fun to play as well as listen to.

The other type is the big blues rock numbers akin to Ball and Biscuit from Elephant. Problem is outside of the main riff, Instinct Blues just feels way too long and is kind of uninteresting to listen. Red Rain is way better which shifts from soft slide guitar to big loud slide chords a la Seven Nation Army. The album ends with the soft piano I Get Lonely (But I Ain't That Lonely Yet). It seems like an appropriate closer given the material on here and it's a nice song to listen to but you probably won't have it on repeat much.

You got to give them credit for at least trying to shake things up a bit. But like one reviewer mentioned once, it feels like they're trying to artificially change their sound rather than letting feel like a natural progression. If on first listen it doesn't appeal, try again. It's an album you can get, not get or get but still thinks it's an underwhelming album anyways.

2 out of 5 stars Jack may have lost the plot..........2007-04-21

Ok, here we go... the first track is fine, but it gives one a false hope for everything that's to follow. What I wanna know is... Who are the people writing these glowing reviews? Nobody I know, that's for sure. This record is nearly unbearable, an obvious case of a capable songwriter over-reaching and expecting his listeners to suspend their disbelief. Jack White does not have a voice that can carry a song by itself, and the sparse arrangements on this record force his voice to attempt the impossible. It's a fun voice, don't get me wrong, but it MUST be accompanied by some equally quirky guitar to be listenable. Unfortunately, "Get Behind Me, Satan" pushes the vocals very high in the mix, and decorates them with some honky-tonk piano here, some acoustic guitar there, and annoyance all over the place.

Myself and many of my friends are fans of the previous White Stripes records. We have been for a very long time. Not one of the people I know mentions this album without an apocryphal tone of voice, and most just out-and-out hate it. The regular conversation is something to the effect of "Yeah, I gave it a chance, I listened to it over and over, thinking 'maybe it'll grow on me', but I just started to really dislike it." If you haven't bought it, just hold out for the next one, 'cause there's no way it'll be worse than this.

(and for all the folks who are "personally offended" by my judgement of this record - Jack doesn't need your defense. He'll be just fine whether I liked it or not.)

                5 out of 5 stars Interesting.......2007-03-27

I bought this cd when it was released and was pretty taken back. The music on this cd is different from the whites stripes older cds but it is still interesting to listen to and enjoy. I still listen to this album and most of the songs are pretty cool and fun. I would remcommend this album for those who like the white stripes and those who heard of this band. You'll be in store for something unique!

                4 out of 5 stars Yipes, Stripes!.......2007-02-03

Stashing the noisy guitar for a piano to bang on, Jack White decided to take a crossroads left at the Delta of The Blues. The result is an album he bragged about recording in a two week blast. "Get Behind Me Satan" is lo-fi racket without the volume, an album where the marimba plays leads and Meg sings a snippet of a song ("Passive Manipulation"). For a band that prides itself on eclecticism, this is their most left field CD to date.

The time dreaming up Loretta Lynn songs had their influence on "Get Behind Me Satan." "Little Ghost" and "I'm Lonely (But I Ain't That Lonely Yet)" sound like they were meant for Lynn's "Van Leer Rose" project. (I wonder if Dwight Yoakum is flattered by the song-title swipe?) Some of the songs are by contrast humorous ("Take Take Take" - the misbegotten tale of an obsessed fan) to lovely ("Forever For Her Is Over for Me"). Jack White is proving to be a pretty crack songsmith. (His work with the Racountours offers further proof in that department.)

The primitivism that some deride about "Get Behind Me Satan" is actually one of the album's charms for me. There is still something cool about hearing a band play with their blemishes showing. In an age where singers back out of TV appearances if they think their pre-recorded "live" vocal overdubs don't sound complimentary, I am completely OK with The White Stripes deliberately NOT spending three years performing cosmetic surgery in the studio. Even the songs that sound like they need a little work ("Instinct Blues") are entertaining, because "Get Behind Me Satan" is meant to be a long-player. This isn't a collection of singles and easy to MP3 ring-tones. This is a CD meant to be played and followed through the scope of its many diverse ideas and eccentric songs/production. Jack and Meg White are invested in their music enough to take risks and allow the chips to fall where they may. It makes "Get Behind Me Satan" a beacon of hope among the squeaky clean factory bands trying to sell you cookie cutter rock.

My kids (1 & 4) love the tracks on this album. My wife does. I do (it's my album). This album has tracks have that White Stripes classic groovy, raw big beat, and fun songs to the more classic slow blues ones to even crazy fast bluegrass style songs like Little Ghost. It is a great all around album, way past the radio hits. This seems to never get old. I put it away for weeks and always find myself craving tracks from it again. I have the last 3 albums from them (with this one being the most recent) and this album is the one I always find myself listening too. The other albums however are great too. If I could offer any negativity I would say that some tracks go from way slow and quiet too quickly to too crazy & loud and back and forth, so the flow is lacking there. It initially took a bit to get used to some of those tracks, but now I find myself craving those too.

"I put in so much time," Joe sings in a down'n'dirty rasp on "My Love," one of a handful of tracks on Ain't Nothin' Like Me destined to make hopeless R&B romantics swoon. Then, on the same song, he massages away the worries of fans who've been waiting for new Joe material since 2003: "I've got everything under control," he croons. Despite a bunch of release-date pushbacks, Ain't Nothin' Like Me leaves little room for doubt that he does. This is confident, grown-and-sexy music stirred to a pleasing consistency by slick, super-experienced collaborators--Dre, Nas, and G-Unit heavy-hitters Tony Yayo and Young Buck among them. The chugger "Love is Just a Game" grabs hold with grooves that swirl and echo, opener "Get to Know Me" bumps along to a hot Tim & Bob beat, and "Where You At" wins instant sympathy from the lovelorn and the forsaken with its rueful finger-snaps. Frost-free vocals are put to excellent use throughout, and in a way that doesn't emphasize style over honesty. If there's a misstep here, it's the boastful title--any disc of substance deserves a better one. Still, there ain't nothin' else not to like. --Tammy La Gorce

                4 out of 5 stars Joe - Ain't Nothin' Like Me.......2007-06-10

The last couple of years R&B music has become pretty much irrelevant within the music industry, with sales declining very fast and fewer hit-singles or new artists breaking through. Joe is one of the last big R&B artists (He and R. Kelly hold the torch) and while making music for quite some years now, with his latest release he not only solidifies his status as one of the best singers the genre has, but also delivers the type of album it seemed to be missing. But most of all, he gives us a fun and breezy collection of songs, and quite possibly the most enjoyable album we're going to get this summer.

Where Lloyd and Ne-Yo are still trying to find their place and own sound and R. Kelly is letting us wait some longer and seems pre-occupied with court cases, Joe shows he's mastered the craft of making a solid album and almost never drops the ball.

Let's start with the good. Almost everyone who knows how to make some quality R&B is lending Joe a hand. And people like Sean Garrett, Brian Michael-Cox and Tim & Bob didn't pass him some leftovers, Joe gets only A-class material to work with.

Lyrically there isn't much to explore in the realm of R&B (one of the main reasons it has become so uninteresting) but even with giving in to some of the worst clichés ever put on paper, the music saves everything. Warm chords, funky drums and sunny melodies, it feels as if this album was made with a hot summer day on the beach in mind.

So what's up with the bad? Well, it's not really bad, but a perfect albums only comes along every so often, and while good, perfection doesn't apply to Joe's latest.
There seems to be a slight overdose of featured rappers. A guest MC can sometimes be a breathe of fresh air, but Joe seems to overdo it a bit by including six guests, where at least half of them could've been left off.

Another point is actually not even Joe's fault, but more the result of the growth of Internet and the infamous leaking of music. Some of the tracks and even potential singles have been floating around on the net for months with Get To Know Me even dating back to 2005. Because of that some songs will feel dated to some listeners, but to people new to the music, it won't be an issue.

Other than that, there is hardly any reason to complain. Okay, as always there are quite some ballads, the annoyance of which depends on personal preference (I could do without them) but they don't take away from the album, and most of them still have that summer vibe.

This album has seen numerous delays and name changes, but it was all worth it, because Joe delivers. The summer is just beginning, but with albums like these it might be a long hot one, let's hope so...

4 out of 5 stars Joe- Ain't Nothin Like Me.......2007-06-06

Wow the anticipation for this album was so built up when it finally came out, i was affraid to buy it. But it did a good job pleasing the audiences apparently. This album truly shows the versatility of Joe, because if you were expecting the same joe as you got on My Name Is Joe or even And Then... well you mide as well throw that out the window because this is a totally different Joe. This album sounds nothing like his previous albums. This album consists mainly of mid tempo tracks that have you noding your head. Which is not normal from joe. He is normally the loverman slow jam songmaker, not the head nodder. I mean besides "My Love" and "Feel For You" there are not really any slow jams. But "Feel For You" is one of the best Joe tracks you will ever hear. It is one of those B.Cox produced piano joints that you find yourself singing along to. Then there is the thugged out "Go Hard" that will be heard being blasted from cars miles away. Another great track is the mid tempo almost party like track "If I Want Her" another B.Cox joint that just bangs. And then another standout track is the almost forgotten first single "Where You At" that you can just feel his pain when he sings the chours. Its been four years coming for this album and he finally gave what people had been asking for, just with a little change in style to appeal to the new age thats all. If you are a fan of Joe this is sure to please you in a different way then you are used to, but its still a great album none the less. BUY IT!!!!

                3 out of 5 stars Not what I expected.......2007-05-30

The cd was okay. I expected better from Joe, but you'll buy it if you're a Joe fan...and I am:-) I got the feeling that he was just fulfilling an obligation to put out a last cd for the record label or something. There were maybe 4 good songs.
