Customer Reviews:
Absoutely Outstanding.......2002-12-09
We saw Jeff Wood perform at Fan Fair 97, after the first few lyrics we stopped and gave him our full attention. We did not want him to stop. This man has one of the most beautiful voices of all. What a performance. We were crying by the time he finished Take mine. We went to his booth, he was not there so we talked to this lady behind the booth, and I said to her that at first I thought he was going to be another cookie cutter cowboy. I told her how we became mesmerized with his voice. She thanked us as and then said that she was his mom. We came back the next day and got pictures with him. He is a lovely man. He deserves all the fame of a superstar. I have heard David Ball's recording of You call that a mountain, and it is noware near as good as Jeff's rendition.
He is breath taking.......2002-08-15
I Love Jeffs' music...He has a true gift of music and song..anyone who hasnt listen to him should..you wont be disappointed...He stole my heart in 97 at fan fair in tennessee...and still today he takes my breath away.. I love him..and his music..especially his song "Use Mine" very touching and heartfelt.
One of the best I've heard in a long time........1999-07-15
After seeing Jeff open for Wynonna, I ran right out and got his current CD. It's heartfelt and emotional. Mr. Wood is an extremely talented singer and songwriter. His lyrics will touch your soul. I do believe he will go far.
Wonderful First CD From A Promising New Artist.......1998-11-07
The only reason this didn't get five stars is because I reserve that for the best work of established artists.
Another enormous talent emerges from the Oklahoma country music gene pool. Where do they all keep coming from? I first noticed Jeff when he appeared on the Kathy Lee Gifford Christmas televison special. I was impressed with the quality of his voice, his stage presence, and the evocative nature of music he performed. I started looking for his work, but didn't find anything right away.
My favorite song is Long Way From OK. It pokes fun at California, but is still a happy song, something we don't hear much of these days. Use Mine will bring tears to the eyes of any father or son. Of course, the title song puts the final touch on the recording with dramatic flair.
This CD is a triumph of first time effort. The production quality is superb (I know, I listen on recording studio quality equipment), the variety of numbers will give everyone something to like. If you want to be among the first to recognize a new star, buy this recording. You won't be sorry.
