The Best Of The Best.......2006-11-10
One of our finest singer's. We enjoyed listening to his singing.
my wifes gift.......2006-01-15
This cd almost duplicated the lp record my wife had and enjoyed.
The Richest Man in the World.......2005-07-30
I'm looking for Eddie's recording that I thought was "The Richest Man in the World". Does anybody know the real title of the song and where I can find it?
REMASTERING FLAWS? OR WAS IT JUST MY CD?.......2005-05-21
The only song on this CD that I wanted was "Anytime".
I believe that there is a flaw in the way it was mastered.
It occurs shortly after Eddy resumes singing after the guitar interlude. His voice goes to a high note and then he speaks the word "time". This same flaw occurs in another cut as well. RCA has not responded to my e-mail inquiry. Is this the way it is supposed to sound? Is the version of "Anytime" recorded on the other Eddy Arnold CD (Greatest Hits) the same?
The Best of Eddy Arnold.......2005-01-02
This is an excellent compilation of some songs most associated with Eddy Arnold. Yes, some complain that some of these songs are remakes. So what's wrong with that? In my view, Eddy got better and better as his career developed, so I enjoy hearing some of his early hits recorded again when he had reached maturity as a singer. Also, some are also original recordings, and they continue to be good. Eddy Arnold is special. His warm, straight forward and melodious way with a song, plus his unique way of presenting the lyrics make his music very believable and loveable for those who enjoy unpretentious warmth in a song. Eddy charms a song. That's not everybody's kind of music, but for those who like their music that way, really ought to give Eddy Arnold a try. This album is a good place to start.

Customer Reviews:
Some beautiful moments, but far too brief!.......2002-12-09
With 12 songs clocking in around 3 minutes a piece, this collection is far too brief--however, with much of his later-60's RCA output not available on disc, it's certainly nice to own. Eddy's honey-tinged, melancholy voice works well on numbers like "Lonely Again" and "It's Over", but the stunner is "You Gave Me A Mountain" (from the equally good album "The Glory Of Love"). A very worthy package, but c'mon RCA! do a decent retrospective on this one-of-a-kind man.
Another CD of Eddy at his best.......2001-03-10
This CD reissue of a 1970 RCA LP, mastered by remastering genius Steve Hoffman from DCC Compact Classics, did a great job mastering this album of 12 of his best including "Tennessee Stud," the only song he recorded in the the 1950's and is a wonderful ballad about a race horse written by Jimmie Driftwood while the rest of this compilation was recorded from 1967-1970, "Turn The World Around," "Misty Blue," "All The Time," "Somebody Like Me," "Tip of My Fingers," and many more classics making this sound top notch and well done. While the first volume of "The Best of Eddy Arnold" contains several re-recordings while still worth buying, this has no re-recordings whatsoever making this a true must have for all fans of his music no matter how big a fan you are from casual fans to collectors. The snare drum at the beginning of "Turn The World Around" on this CD sounds as clear as a bell unlike the original LP of this song entitled "Turn The World Around" making this CD having the best sounding copy of the song hands down. All tracks are stereo, no remixing done and all in all, I'll say this again, this is a must have for your collection for 12 classic tracks.
