About the Artist
B I O G R A P H Y - OUTLAW NATION

Country Music has been firmly rooted in American culture from it's inception. Along with Jazz and Blues music, country has made America what it is today. No matter where you go or what you do country music is here to stay and it's stories will told by young and old. Country music is as colorless as the air we breath and the band Outlaw Nation is here to prove this!

Outlaw Nation began 3 years ago by Lead singer/guitarist Christian Simeon and bassist Danny Woolen. Both had been members in one of Americas top Reggae bands N-Thyme. After years of touring with the likes of Ziggy Marley, Burning spear and others, Christian and Danny began a quest to complete themselves musically. With both of them having already indulge in Jazz for a few years playing in a hotel in Corpus Christi, TX. The guys stumbled across a really great drummer named Robert Crutchfield who is a huge fan of drummers like Steve Jordan (James Taylor) and Steve Ferrone ( Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers) The band stumbled across Robert Earl Keen CD and they fell in love instantly.

After a few recording sessions ensued the guys decided to begin their quest into forming a band that would someday change the face of Texas Music. With the help of influences such as Pat Green, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and a host of other great Texas/Red Dirt songwriters the band set on it's way to making a connection with the Texas Music scene.

In late 2004, Eddy Deloney (CEO of RALPH RECORDS) came across a EP that the band had released and was selling at their shows. And offered the guys a record deal. The band quickly went into the studio and recorded their new CD TRIPPING WIRE. "Christian is a great songwriter and I think his songs need to be heard." say Deloney "I am a big fan of Texas/Red Dirt acts like: Pat Green, Cross Canadian Ragweed etc.. and their music spoke to me, that is why I have chose to go this route rather some other music form." sighs Simeon. OUTLAW NATION has touched on the old and new on this CD at the same time. "We wanted to be humble and respect the old way of country music but add a little bit of today spices to it and I think we succeeded in that" says Robert Crutchfield

TRIPPING WIRE is a collection if songs that touch the heart and work the legs so to speak. From danceable southern rock influenced tracks like: TRIPPING WIRE, RED DIRT GIRL and EVERYDAY to country/folk laced ballads like COYOTE BLUE MOON, TRAIL OF TEARS, BLACK -N BLUE the variety of song is apparent from track one to the end of the CD.

"We really wanted to stretch and push ourselves," says Woolen about the band's approach to recording the album, produced by Christian Simeon in his Shreveport studio 'The Beatrice'. Songs like "The River" and "It's Alright With Me" are all about letting go of all things negative ("Got alot of people doing deals and dealing dirt but they would relax if they knew what life was worth.")."Red Dirt Girl," and "Coyote Blue Moon" are songs about loving a woman so much but yet you still wonder about the relationship, while the song "Cowboy Rides" is a lighthearted track that has combined the musical elements of country music and hip-hop written in a tongue and cheek manner that has become a crowd favorite. "We wanted to show that we have no boundaries when it comes to our music, I think we did a good record and hopefully the fans of music think so as well." says Crutchfiled

"We love playing live and the main thing everyone should remember is it's all about the music and the fan connection, nothing else matters but the fans and the music. If someone tells you different you need to move on for sure.
